the thing about trinity is that she's lived her life on survival mode probably up until now. she probably told herself she could finally breathe when she's a doctor and now this is her life. she doesn't really know what to do now and then her first day went like that.

so she's probably going to get defensive over things that are not worth getting defensive over. she doesn't want to either. she's probably going to be rude when people don' t deserve it. she doesn't want to either. she's probably going to be a little pushy and try to break boundaries. she's going to be really insane about justice for a while. to me this is a girl who grew up doing and saying what was on her mind then being punished for it. so now she's trying to push boundaries again as an adult to see what she can get away with while actually not doing anything wrong. it's a trauma response.

the last time she probably had to worry about making friends was when she was a kid then trauma happened and her friend is dead now. so she's probably doesn't know how to trust people or trust relationships / friendships can last. she's not that great at it but her heart is in the right place. she is kind and generous. she cares, that's the whole reason she's a doctor. she is trying but it's like a war in her own head.
