idk i find the constant hype bubble cycle of the modern tech industry kind of fascinating because it always seems so stupid and obviously falsifiable from the outside and yet it always makes so much money. so many people believed in theranos. so many powerful people backed a college dropout with an idea that makes no sense when you ask anyone who knows anything about blood. why? i think "because it's the future, we should be able to do that by now, like in star trek" is a powerful bias
