One of the most important things I’ve learned as a Real Adult™ is the importance of a job half done.
Today I did a load of dishes, wiped off my stove, and swept the kitchen floor. Did I do the best job, or finish every dish? No! My stove still has that caked on caramel that I need to bust out an SOS pad to take care of, one of our big pots is still sitting in the sink, and somehow a kitty kibble unearthed itself while I was wiping down the stove (?? how??).. but the kitchen looks a LOT better. It’s once again an inhabitable, usable space.
Parents, bosses, teachers, even my own self, harp upon absolute perfect completion of a task as the be all and end all of a job well done, but god damn, my kitchen isn’t terrible because I took the time to improve it. Little steps, especially when you’re struggling, are important. They mean a LOT. They are a sign that you won, if only in that brief moment, and they make getting all the other stuff done so much easier later on down the road.

Everyday I learn new horrors about the garbage island in the middle of the ocean.

Everytime I see a lobster back complaining about the “heat” during the summer I always have a laugh because their government won’t allow them to even open their damn windows all the way. Lmao.

Iron-heart is as AWFUL as I knew it would be. It’s an agenda, propaganda honestly. It pushes white men/men bad pretty hard. Riri even accuses Tony start of doing crime and claims she would be better than him if she had his money, alluding to his status as a white male. She also trashes people like bill gates, Steve Jobs and Hank Pym, claiming she’s better. She thinks she’s perfect, she learns no lessons because she doesn’t “need to”, and she’s so arrogant and selfish. She builds her suit with stolen money. How is that a hero?
People say she’s a celebration of black culture, and it’s black girl magic. But like… is this REALLY what you want black culture to be portrayed as? A criminal, cheat, liar, con woman who sells herself to a demon to get ahead of everyone else. Is that… really what we want black culture to be perceived?? Criminals, cheats, liars, con artists… that need demons to help them? This show literally makes black peoples look bad because it claims that the ONLY way black people can get anywhere in life is by being racist against rich white people and stealing from them. And this whole idea of “black people cant be anything in this world” is so exhausting. I interact with so many successful black men and women every single day who make more money in a month than I will make in a year. Black people aren’t weak and don’t need the world to say “poor you, poor marginalized you”. I’m sorry if that sounds harsh but black people are strong and idk why we keep trying to make them out to be so defenseless. They can get the same opportunities as everyone else and MANY go on to be completely successful and live wonderfully happy lives.
And the “people bombing in the reviews are racist” thing is so old and tired and stupid. Just because people don’t like a black character doesn’t mean it’s based on race. People can dislike things, it’s ok. Ironheart just as a piss poor story and awful characters.
The MCU is dead meat. The longer Disney pushes political agendas and nonsense, the less and less money they will make. People are voting with their wallets and review bombing these garbage shows. Maybe someday Disney will listen.

how many horrible live action movies will it take for people to realize that animation is the best medium to have fantasy creatures because when everything is animated your suspension of disbelief works better
