Hey, friends. What happened to this community? Genuinely. It's gotten extremely hostile and unfriendly over the years and that's really sad. It used to be so friendly, just a few years ago but now I feel like so many members are super negative and borderline combative. Or just really demanding of others while not offering anything in return.

If you're harassing people over self shipping, you need to step back and take a breath. Take some time off the internet for a little bit and do some self reflection if you can't handle doubles just existing the point that you harass them.

The block button is right there.

A lot of you are actively choosing to be hostile or instead of blocking.

You are being bully if you harass someone for just shipping with the same character as you. You are in the wrong for this. Especially if you're an adult.

I joined the self ship community only like. Five years ago, maybe. It had it's issues but people were pretty friendly and at the very least chill, but now I feel like way too many people are just digging around for reasons to be angry or negative in some way. A lot of you are just itching to put each other down and/or expecting community while not being willing to be community.

I have a few really nice mutuals, and this obviously isn't about them but it's something that's really been on my mind lately. I also do not have anything against non-sharing as a concept. My issues are only with actions that are/have been becoming normalized around here.

pathetically possessive f/os who know they look like a mess. how they hold you close as they kneel in front of you. how they beg you to just stay a bit longer. or maybe how they look like they're about to cry because they can't deny that you're their entire world. how they melt over you calling them theirs. how they can't care about anyone else but just you because they need you to breathe. how they need constant reassurance because they get so jealous because the thought of anyone loving you as much as they do makes them wanna crash and burn. how they know that they shouldn't be like this, trembling out of shame, over-apologizing but they love you so much that it hurts. they need you more than anything else, please remind them how much you love them.
