For everyoneâs information:
The plan for the 17th, when the adult content ban comes in, is to protest.
To do that, we are making as much noise either side of the 17th as possible, and using the site as normal.
On the 17th, dead silence.
People are saying log off but what they really mean is donât open the site or the app.
But, on the 17th make as much noise as possible on every other platform. Tweet about it and post on facebook and instagram and everywhere else.
What this does is causes a massive dip in ad revenue for one single day. That does not make staff think âoh everyoneâs gone letâs shut down.â What it actually makes them think is âoh shit people arenât happy and if people donât keep using our site weâre out of money and out of jobs.â
A boycott reminds a company that the users (consumers) have the power to make their site (business) worthless with one single coordinated decision.
If you want to join in, hereâs what to do:
Do:
Close all open instances of the app and site on all your devices before the 17th
Make posts before and after the 17th on tumblr and other platforms, talking about why this ban is bad
Make posts on other sites during the 17th. Flood the official tumblr staff twitter and facebook with your anger and your opinion
Come back on the 18th and check in
Donât:
Delete the app from your phone (this doesnât affect their revenue and since itâs off the store at the moment itâll be hard to get back)
Delete your account. I mean you can if you want to, but if you keep your account and donât use it youâre saying to staff that thereâs still time to save it. If you delete itâs hard work to come back.
Open the app or website (including specific blogs)
Make any posts (turn down/off your queue and make sure nothing is scheduled)
Go quiet elsewhere. Make it clear that this is just about tumblr, not a mass move away from all social media.
Remember: the execs donât care about anything but money. Shutting down the site means thereâs $0 further income from it. Thatâs their last possible course of action. If we make it clear weâre not happy, theyâll have to do something or we can do more and more until it becomes too expensive.
Protests take commitment. Theyâre a defiant action against a business that is doing something wrong. They will try to scare you into not participating, because theyâre scared. We hold all the power here, sometimes the execs just need to be reminded of that.

Iâve been using this one-page quest template I created the past few months for every single one of my quests. You can use it for short quests, or for specific âchaptersâ within a larger adventure.
This format works very well for me, because normally I write down way too much detail, and subsequently I canât find the details I need in the wall of text while Iâm playing. Seeing that this works well for me, I thought Iâd share it with any other DMs out there who wants to use it.
The key is to be SHORT. This template is meant to be used while youâre at the table in the moment: You can quickly flip to the page you need and then see all the pertinent details at one glance without getting bogged down in unnecessary prose. Â
Here is an example (as you can see, you can change around the format for each quest):
Here is the google drive link for the Word version.

do you have any resources for map building or world generation? I want to try and build my own campaign from scratch, but want to try and get a world map so I can build off of the generated biomes & formations before throwing down all the roots for kingdoms and stuff. thanks so much for all your help!!!
Here are a few resources that might help out!Â

An Open Letter to Tumblr about the Adult Content Ban and How it is Hurting Your Users:
Recently, Tumblr was removed from the Apple app store due to an incident involving child pornography. This incident is incredibly unfortunate, but it doesnât stand alone. Tumblr was also removed from the app store due to the large influx of porn bots and pornographic spam, users claiming to be proud to be pedophiles, blatant Nazism, racists who are not deleted for sending hate and harassing users, and more. I myself reported someone for harassing me, but because I had blocked the person and couldnât access the messages where they harassed me, they were still able to send me anonymous asks. Your support staff, with back doors to the website (presumably), claimed they could not access the messages, and I was left SOL. Many features on this website do nothing to actually protect your users from harassment, racism, homophobia, transphobia, Nazis, pedophiles, predators, porn bots, and more.Â
You claim in your statement to us that you âhave been working on these problems for a long timeâ. This is blatantly untrue. Please do not lie to us and patronize us. Weâve been here. Weâve seen you do nothing over, and over, and over again.Â
We complained to you for months and months about the rampant porn bots, and you did nothing except add a report button on mobile which only reported sensitive content or spam at best. You could have addressed this problem with an effective algorithm, but you did not. We complained to you about being harassed and sent hate speech for being LGBT+, and you did nothing. We complained to you about blogs being randomly deleted, and sometimes youâve restored them, other times you have not. We complained to you that there were people proudly claiming to be âMinor Attracted Personsâ, or pedophiles, and you did nothing. We complained to you about people proudly claiming to be white supremacists, and you did nothing. All of these things are âagainst the community guidelinesâ, and yet over and over, you have not found effective ways to handle these problems or suppress the feeling of welcome that these users claim to get here. You have had a long time to work on these problems, but you havenât addressed them. To say you have is untrue.Â
Multiple other social networking websites, such as Wordpress, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and others have effectively dealt with rampant pornography, racism, pedophilia, and other problems without causing massive issues for their users who are not misusing the platform. They are continuing to find new, effective ways to deal with these issues without causing problems for their userbase as a whole. There is no reason that you are unable to do this effectively other than that you wanted to do it quickly. You have once again chosen your stock holders over your users. And we have had enough.Â
You have already started to ban âAdultâ content with a new algorithm. Here are screenshots of just a fraction of the posts you have flagged as containing adult content:

Your new system of simply tackling everything at once is not working. At all. And each of these screenshots is proof of your utter incompetence. None of these posts contain pornographic acts, âfemale nipplesâ, or any community violation of any kind.Â
We, the users, have been asking you for months to deal with these problems - particularly, the porn bots and bots that spam. In order to block a bot from a side blog, I have to do it manually, even though they are in my side blogâs feed. This is a huge issue for mobile - only users. They keep cropping up in droves, taking over our posts and tricking google into making it look like a legitimate blog linked to a pornographic website. We have complained to you for months and months now, and your solution to simply âban all adult contentâ is ineffective. I agree that children should not be able to access pornography - but this is not how you tackle a porn bot problem. Your system is utterly useless, allows for racists, pedophiles, porn bots, and Nazis to remain untouched. It also harms sex workers and real people who may use this website for some forms of adult content responsibly. Moreover, as seen above, it harms plenty of users who have in no way violated your terms of service.
If you keep this up, you threaten your website and company as a whole. Many of us are backing up our blogs and planning places to go to.Â
You already have a content filter for âsensitiveâ content (content inappropriate for younger viewers). You could have improved this, instead of attacking your entire user base. It seems to be a very lazy âsolutionâ, if you could call it one at all, and one that harms your entire userbase.
If you are going to keep this filter in place and make Tumblr, a website that has never been known for being family friendly and has never claimed to be, you are going to lose millions of your users. We are already planning our exodus. It isnât hard to follow. Censor us, and we will go somewhere else. That is not a threat. It is a promise.Â
Sincerely,Â
The users of your website.Â

A better, more positive Tumblr
Since its founding in 2007, Tumblr has always been a place for wide open, creative self-expression at the heart of community and culture. To borrow from our founder David Karp, weâre proud to have inspired a generation of artists, writers, creators, curators, and crusaders to redefine our culture and to help empower individuality.
Over the past several months, and inspired by our storied past, weâve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward and have been hard at work laying the foundation for a better Tumblr. Weâve realized that in order to continue to fulfill our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change. Some of that change began with fostering more constructive dialogue among our community members. Today, weâre taking another step by no longer allowing adult content, including explicit sexual content and nudity (with some exceptions). Â
Letâs first be unequivocal about something that should not be confused with todayâs policy change: posting anything that is harmful to minors, including child pornography, is abhorrent and has no place in our community. Weâve always had and always will have a zero tolerance policy for this type of content. To this end, we continuously invest in the enforcement of this policy, including industry-standard machine monitoring, a growing team of human moderators, and user tools that make it easy to report abuse. We also closely partner with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Watch Foundation, two invaluable organizations at the forefront of protecting our children from abuse, and through these partnerships we report violations of this policy to law enforcement authorities. We can never prevent all bad actors from attempting to abuse our platform, but we make it our highest priority to keep the community as safe as possible.
So what is changing?
Posts that contain adult content will no longer be allowed on Tumblr, and weâve updated our Community Guidelines to reflect this policy change. We recognize Tumblr is also a place to speak freely about topics like art, sex positivity, your relationships, your sexuality, and your personal journey. We want to make sure that we continue to foster this type of diversity of expression in the community, so our new policy strives to strike a balance.
Why are we doing this?
It is our continued, humble aspiration that Tumblr be a safe place for creative expression, self-discovery, and a deep sense of community. As Tumblr continues to grow and evolve, and our understanding of our impact on our world becomes clearer, we have a responsibility to consider that impact across different age groups, demographics, cultures, and mindsets. We spent considerable time weighing the pros and cons of expression in the community that includes adult content. In doing so, it became clear that without this content we have the opportunity to create a place where more people feel comfortable expressing themselves.
Bottom line: There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community.
So whatâs next?
Starting December 17, 2018, we will begin enforcing this new policy. Community members with content that is no longer permitted on Tumblr will get a heads up from us in advance and steps they can take to appeal or preserve their content outside the community if they so choose. All changes wonât happen overnight as something of this complexity takes time.
Another thing, filtering this type of content versus say, a political protest with nudity or the statue of David, is not simple at scale. Weâre relying on automated tools to identify adult content and humans to help train and keep our systems in check. We know there will be mistakes, but weâve done our best to create and enforce a policy that acknowledges the breadth of expression we see in the community.
Most importantly, weâre going to be as transparent as possible with you about the decisions weâre making and resources available to you, including more detailed information, product enhancements, and more content moderators to interface directly with the community and content.
Like you, we love Tumblr and what itâs come to mean for millions of people around the world. Our actions are out of love and hope for our community. We wonât always get this right, especially in the beginning, but we are determined to make your experience a positive one.

Random Battle Cries, 4: Whether theyâre warcries, taunts, calls to arms, rebel yells, rallying cries, or just offensive trash talk, the existence of battle related chants, shouts and songs are timeless. They can be simplistic and bone chilling, complex and inspiring or primal wordless screams of rage that shakes the enemy down to their iron-shod boots. PCâs can be defined by their words as much as their deeds and their last message to an enemy as battle commences can reveal who they truly are. Finding the perfect phrase for a unique and beloved character can be difficult and having several to choose from can be a quest in itself. Similarly, DMâs can become hard pressed to come up with new and inventive battle cries for enemies to shout just before initiative is rolled. This table is a collection of simple phrases, threats, insults and violent promises for creatures to yell before and during combat to add verbal spice to each attack. âNote: The phrasing for these are copied from their original sources the way they were written (I, Me, We, Him, Man, etc), and a player or DM should change the tenses to best suit the situation.

Lizardfolk agriculture and food
No cats. Dogs are rare. Cats are seen as bringers of disease and baby eaters (which they honestly kind of are, lizardfolk babies are much smaller than a human infant, perfectly preysized. And gram-negative bacteria found in mammal saliva covers their whole body thanks to groomig. I like cats but they would be terrifying to most sapient reptiles and birds)
Insectkeeping like bees, ants, and termites is big. (Fun fact, tegu lizards love honey.)
No crop fields, but do change landscape and encourage the growth of certain plants.
Do grow plants in pots, for medicine, spices and garnishes. (Pink flowers are the equivalent of parsley or a lemon)
Fowl are domesticated so that thier own breeding season matches up with the lizardfolks, so the lizardfolk have a ready supply of eggs to feed the hatchlings.
Several speceies of birds and snakes have been domesticated , or likely domesticated themselves, as guardians of lizardfolk nests. Their own eggs are taken away and they are placed in a lizardfok nest which they will then guard until hatching.

Cool RPG Character Idea
Take personality tests as your character. Myers briggs, whatever.
Learn what makes them tick, and how they think. Put words and stats to how they act.
Whatâs their star sign?? Do they act like it?
