What's Wonder Woman's "thing"?
As I was watching this video about Wonder Womans Villains, I tried to pin down "what makes Wonder Woman special?". Like shes considered to be a part of the Trinity of DC, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman. But how is she set apart from the others? Alot of people say Wonder Woman is special cuz shes an amazonian warrior but shes kind and gente. (Well thats just kinda Superman again, or any hero for that matter).
No writers seem to be able to pin down her "thing"… Batman has (a few "things" but i would say a big one is) The no kill rule. Despite how iredeemable his villains despite how terrible his childhood, he has a moral code that he will stick by no matter what. Superman's "Thing" is that he is the only exeption to "Absolute power corrupts absolutely" He is the strongest being on earth, capable of anything, and despite that, hes just mild mannered clark kent, a kind, gentle soul with a heart of uncorrodable gold. Wonder Womans "thing" is… well… no one seems to know.
I would like to propose her "thing".
She needs to be the Heart of the trinity. The Glue of the justice league. The most Emotionally Mature. She needs to be therapist. (Just bear with me for a moment)
I think it would be kinda funny if the reason she has so little villains (and the villains she does have are pretty inconsistent) Is that no one has a reason to hate her. She has a lasso that forces you to tell the truth, She probably turns every fight shes in, into a therapy session for the villain. I think it would be so fun if her "Thing" was her ability to calm villains down and convert them over to the side of good. I mean shes 2000 years old, Probably the oldest Justice league member outside of Martian Manhunter. Even if shes completely unaware of the outside worlds culture because of the isolation of themyscera. She's probably the most emotionally mature out of all the Justice League.
I also think it would be cool if she was one of the main reasons the Justice League was able to form. Like how are you gonna convince the most paranoid man on earth Batman, to work with the indestructable supergod Superman? And how are you gonna convince the Mild mannered clark Kent to team up with the Scary Brooding Violent Batman? By being the interconnective tissue! By being the Heart of the justice League.
Thats what I think Wonder Woman's "Thing" Should be.

I really like the Idea that Magic is just a form of programming.
Like with programming. You use the right software, type the right words, use the correct syntax. And you have a program that does something
Similarly, with magic you string the right thoughts, chants, hand signs and materials together and you get a spell.
This explains wands, staffs and orbs as tools and shortcuts. No need for material components when your staff has phoenix feathers and feywild vines woven or a magic gem embedded into its tip.
The means that every wizard has a different way of going about casting or creating a spell.
And it opens up the very funny concept. Of spaghetti mages.
They dont know how half of the spell works. Their spellbooks are so incomprehensible and esoteric that its indecipherable to even expert wizards.
"Yes, I need to hold this potato while I cast magic Missile" "no its not the material component" "no the spell does not work without the potato"
