In Gaza, where life is harsh and conditions are tough, we cling to any glimpse of hope that restores a taste of happiness. Amid our daily struggles with cold and hunger, I received news that changed my life and brought a mix of joy and fear. My wife, my partner in this ongoing battle, is pregnant!

When she told me, I felt a whirlwind of emotions. There was overwhelming happiness—a new child will come to fill our lives with fresh hope. His small laughs might ease the weight of our pain. At the same time, fear gripped me. How can I protect this new life? How can I provide a decent life for him when I can barely shield my other children?

Every night, I sit next to my wife, watching her belly grow, imagining this child. I see him laughing, playing, calling me "Dad." Yet, amidst these beautiful images, reality reminds me of my struggles: our tent battered by the wind, rain seeping through, and the cold freezing us to the bone. What kind of beginning will this child have in such a harsh world?

Despite everything, I decided to hold on to hope. My children see me as their pillar of strength, and my wife needs my support now more than ever. I try to appear strong for them, but inside, I am searching for a helping hand, a beacon of hope that assures me tomorrow will be better.

That is why I reach out to you today—to those with compassionate hearts, to those who believe humanity knows no borders. We need your help to welcome this new child. We need a tent to shelter us, warm clothes to protect us from the cold, and food to nourish our bodies, weary from hunger.

My upcoming child carries new hope within, and I want to welcome him with dignity. I want him to see that the world isn’t all harshness and that there are those who extend their hands to the weak. You are our hope; you are the ones who can ease our lives and restore the safety we desperately need.

My name is Mohammed Ayyad from Gaza. My wife, children and I were displaced quickly since the first days of the war on Gaza, leaving behind all our wealth and dreams. We are forced to leave our home and live in the south of Gaza, Rafah.

A few days after we left the house and went to the south (Rafah) we announce our tactics to our home with ease our beautiful next and destroyed everything we owned. Everything we had went with the wind, we are now working in hell (the tent) suffering one from collecting wood to cook food which is clearly difficult to produce from the water that was spread and is polluted by the cursed war and our work we lose our source of livelihood.

I became a desperate refugee and dug into a very small tent, without water and food life became horrible and sad with the disappearance of the need to survive. It is a struggle for survival.

Because of the continuous bombing and the difficulty of living with the high expectations our life is security our life is peace, we ask generous people to donate to service our planes. Our lives are threatened at any time, and everyone is exposed and death is not. We have never been safely moved to a place until war, and we have never lost our lives at any moment. Because of the war on Gaza, my family and I lost our home and were forced to flee from the north of the Strip to the south in fear and terror 😭💔

My family and I were left without shelter after that. We sat in a cloth tent that did not protect us from the heat of summer or the cold of winter 😔💔

Because of the harsh winter and heavy rain, the worn-out fabrics of our tent could not protect us, so the tent fell on our children’s heads while they were sleeping. It was a very harsh and difficult night 🥺💔🇵🇸

All this is not enough. We are now living in famine. I cannot find a living. My children have stopped working since the beginning of the aggression because of the bombing of my workplace. My children have been without a source of income since the beginning of the war. Prices are extremely high and we suffer from diseases 💔🇵🇸😔😭🙏

This is my little baby, he is in a very bad condition now because of the lack of food and the freezing cold. He is very sick and needs treatment and proper food for him.
