Project 3 -Reflection

mBy the end of Christmas holiday, I finished my last project of the firs term of my graduate life. Actually, I am just know how was expriemental animation does. I had search this subject when the term beginning, it is just said it’s a good way to help student know animation and have the idea of they do. But, I am still confusion with this, cause I am doing game animation before, it just software technology and I just need an idea of my animation. I do not need think too much to reflect the society in my animation. Untill project 3, when Paul thalk to me for y work. That I konw the compose I am doing it’s put something togeter and make it be a new thing. In addition, in the last presentation, Hugo said to me do not make a same coffe cup if there has a coffe cup already. Thus, I think too much of that, I know I need make it become a new thing and I has some diffrent idea in my animation, I am just not show it. And I know my idea always change, so the final work maybe is not like the beginning mind. But anyway, I can renew my mind to make new idea of my animation.

The project 3 is a compose video. It combine ture scene and 2D geometric figure. I had record two diffent video. One is shoot in the Newcastle (UK) and another one is shoot in the GuiLin (China). I got a new idea  When I shoot the video in the GuiLin. Because the lihgt on the lake is very beautiful like many holes and butterfly. It could be the 2D things shock in the middle of the holes. And then, I heard a sound like the computer can not run. Like something wrong, and it will jump a window said you need restart your computer. I think this sound is very suit for my video now. Thus, I choose this song for my final background music. 

Accroding the rhythm of this song, I beginning to make my video. I shoot many videos standby, so I need clear up these video first. I imput all videos into the Adobe premiere, and listen the music again and again try to find the rhythm. I cut the video and resettle them when I have thought. Cause the video is compose video, I imput the first verison video into the Adobe after effects to add 2D geometric figure. The final video is made of three part, the second part is a stop motion. The second video is shoot in the noon so I need adjust the color in the premiere let it suit for my base color of my final video and then imput to effects. And imput the finished second video to premiere again.  Then render this video right now, finished part 1 and part 2 already, need imput to effects add effect to part 3.  Part 3 is use a light bridge as the background, and three triangle  twist. All of the geometric figures are made in After effects, the step is in a new compound, create a new figure layer, and edit figure in the layer, choose the shape and adjust size and location. Then copy the layer and adjust position to make the shadow of the shape, and add slur effect on the shadow layer. Cause these shapes are above the lake, I choose gauss slur and adjust scope. After these steps, imput the video to premiere again. And this is last time to imput. In premiere, just combine the part 2 and the whole video.

Accroding this subject of this term, I know the animation deeply. And for my final film of next term. I want to do the compose as well. And maybe we will learn a new softerware, I think it will useful to my final film. But I still have no idea of my final film right now.

Project 3 - Software experience

3D - MAYA  3DX  LAYOUT UNITY

2D - FLASH 

Edit - PREMIERE  AFTER EFFECTS

I’ve got some animation experience on 3D and 2D. I used Maya and 3Dx before to make my 3D animation. I know how to create a model and mesh and rig it in Maya.  And I know some render setting and how to set key frame in Maya. 

I used Flash to draw animation and edit animation then input to Premiere  edit it, add music.

I input my 3D renders and 2D animation into the Premiere to edit the animation. In addition, I used After effects to make some particular effects like little light point.

I want to do the light effects on object and combine with true scene. The animation will be a video that light object do some action fellow the music on the air of the real street.

I will learning some new knowledge after this project like  how to adjust the color of the video. Because the video if record in the night will be many little noise point. So if the video record in the afternoon will be better and then adjust the colour make it looks like night. And I will learning how to let the object be light and need shadow on the grand. 

I will search some tutorial videos on the internet and fellow the video to do.
