Here's a litmus test to find out if a place/organization/event is antisemitic or not.
Simply ask "are Jews allowed here?"
If the answer is "no" then it's antisemitic.
If the answer is "only Jews who conform to my personal beliefs" then it's antisemitic.
If the answer is "as long as they're not (insert anything here honestly)" then it's antisemitic
Anything other than an unqualified "yes" is antisemitism.
Do you get it yet?

he has 33.3 million followers on Twitter. over twice the Jewish population of the world. even if ten million of those were bots or empty/abandoned accounts, it’s more than the entire Jewish population. if half of them are, it’s still more than the entire Jewish population.

something I think we do unfortunately need to address about this is the overwhelming silence from the music industry. no one is standing up to condemn this, to speak out against this, to question it. not one famous artist has said a word.
my assumption is that they think taking the path of least resistance, and thus not giving him the attention he is clearly seeking, is the best approach, but what this allows instead is the proliferation of support for him with no pushback (except from the Jewish community, and nobody’s listening to us). the silence becomes tacit acceptance.
oh, this is just how Kanye is, right? we shouldn’t give him the satisfaction of addressing it. cool. you know who is addressing it? the neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and extremist terror supporters cheering for it.
I looked at his feed earlier, he’s doing nothing but retweet the people egging him on. there’s a tragic aspect to this in that he is nothing but a tool to them - they’re supporting him because of their violent hatred for Jews, but also because exploiting a black man due to their adulation of Nazis adds an extra layer of excitement for them.
the silence from the music industry, from every major musician, is enabling.
I also have a guess that the music industry and the massive stars within it prefer silence because speaking out about blatant, unrepentant antisemitism is a risk. it doesn’t matter that his song has nothing to do with any conflict or political stance, that it’s nothing but violent hatred, if they use their voices to help Jews, they will be shamed and yelled at as (((Zionist))) supporters - a social crime that is now worse than saying “heil Hitler.”
these are the people who pretend to care about humanity and inclusivity and kindness and justice. these are people who probably fancy themselves as brave enough to say or do something during the Holocaust. “I would’ve helped my Jewish neighbors!” no. they wouldn’t have. they would have done nothing then - because they are doing nothing now, even when it’s goose stepping on a global stage.

When I started posting about politics at the end of 2023, there was one thing I kept saying,
"If you stop being antisemitic and stop arguing about how you're not being antisemitic, then you will have more time and energy to focus on Palestinians"
And this is still extremely relevant. With Mo Kahn, the dude who made a sign saying "fuck the jews" and turned it this whole thing about how he was really making commentary on Israel and not jews. Which doesn't make sense as you're just proving that you view all jews as the Israeli government, but anyway. He is trying to get funding to take legal action because he lost an internship over his "fuck the jews" sign, as well as to prevent the jewish owner of the bar he made the sign in, from talking about what happened in his own bar.
If this really was about Israel and Palestine, and not hating jews, instead of trying to argue as to why saying "fuck the jews" isn't antisemitic and trying to silence the jewish owner of the bar this happened in, he would donate the money he is fundraising to Palestine. But he isn't. He appeared on a neo nazi podcast, who the host also hates Palestinians, to try and argue his case.
And the main thing which gets me about this situation is that this all would've gone away relatively quickly if he didn't try to lie his way out of it.
All he had to say was that he was sorry, accept the FREE trip to a holocaust concentration camp, say he learnt something from it, and most people would forget about it! Most people would go "well he learnt his lesson" and move on. But he didn't! He is actively making things worse for himself.

"Semitic" hasn't been used to refer to a race or ethnicity since Nazi Aryan theory for a reason, guys.
Like...come on. There's a reason "antisemitic" refers solely to anti-jewish bias. The etymology doesn't work neatly backwards from the root like you think it does.
It was invented as a term as a direct response to an article of Nazi Aryan theory proposing that Semitic races are inherently violent, selfish, and inferior to the Aryan race specifically and solely in order to legitimize anti-Jewish sentiments and legislation in science. That's why the word "antisemitism" is only used to discuss discrimination against Jews, and part of why "semitic" is no longer used to refer to any race or ethnicity (it was also bible-based pseudo science anyway that proposed 'semitic' peoples descended from Noah's son Shem, hence the name).
The only context in which "semitic" refers to Arabs is when discussing the evolution of Arabic, Hebrew, and related languages, as it is still a term used today in linguistics. Languages are semitic, not people.

The fact that Ye/Kanye continues to receive so much support and acclaim and his fan base is continuing to grow is a very dire look at the rising normalization of violent antisemitism. He has twice as many twitter followers as there are Jews on earth and that number has just gone up as he posts Nazi imagery and literally includes Hitler's own words in his music.
This isn't a mental breakdown or a psychotic break or a bipolar episode. This is a series of deliberate choices that take months if not years to put into place, along with a ton of money and a lot of people helping to make it happen, and it's all very consistent with his past behaviors. The fact that people continue to excuse and defend him is also extremely dire.

Comparing every horrific thing to the Holocaust is a form of Holocaust denial. You can talk about how terrifying, cruel, and tragic something is without understating how the Holocaust turned death into a science, used literal assembly lines in an attempt to completely eradicate Jews, something that they succeeded at in several countries.
Around 17 million people were killed in the Holocaust, which is a little under the population of the entire state of New York. Jews, the primary target of the Holocaust, made up about 6 million of those victims; that's about the same as the population of Wisconsin. Around 1.1 million (1 million of which were Jewish) people were killed at Auschwitz alone, with somewhere between 6,000 and 15,000 people being murdered per day depending on the date.
I don't want to go into more gruesome detail because I know I have a lot of Jewish followers and they don't need to be exposed to that more than they already are. But you all have to understand these numbers and the realities of the Holocaust, especially the way that Jewish and Romani people still have not recovered 80 years later. You have to understand how deeply cruel and absurd these comparisons are.
You also have to understand how the Holocaust was not a singular event that came out of nowhere, it was the culmination of decades and CENTURIES of increasingly violent and normalized antisemitism.
Internalize this. Research Holocaust using resources from Jewish scholars. Read firsthand accounts of survivors and victims, not just the version of Anne Frank's diary read in high school and feel-good stories written by goyim. Really let these numbers and facts settle in. Think about what you are actually saying when you make those comparisons.
And stop using a handful of Jewish people as tokens to justify your comparisons and Holocaust denial! If you're against the tokenization of any other marginalized community, why is it okay for you to tokenize Jews?

Like what are we supposed to do anymore when a guy who holds up a "Fuck the Jews" sign in a Jewish guy's bar is able to say he's being unfairly called antisemitic by the (((Zionists))) and raise $25,000 in a few days, while the Jewish guy who's bar was invaded recieves nothing but thousands upon thousands of comments telling him Jews should be killed, without a single comment of support in between. What are we supposed to do.

I just don't think people understand how utterly bizarre it really is to have deep, passionate, frothing-at-the-mouth-god-i-hate-you opinions on the self-determination movement of a tiny ethnic minority you don't belong to, particularly when most of you are from countries that either actively participated in a massive genocide against that group or willfully hindered their escape and failed to intervene in the aforementioned genocide, within living memory.
