I feel like many people have a fundamental misconception of what unreliable narrator means. It's simply a narrative vehicle not a character flaw, a sign that the character is a bad person. There are also many different types of unreliable narrators in fiction. Being an unreliable narrator doesn't necessarily mean that the character is 'wrong', it definitely doesn't mean that they're wrong about everything even if some aspects in their story are inaccurate, and only some unreliable narrators actively and consciously lie. Stories that have unreliable narrators also tend to deal with perception and memory and they often don't even have one objective truth, just different versions. It reflects real life where we know human memory is highly unreliable and vague and people can interpret same events very differently

Off the main spiral, there were countless other corridors, rooms, halls, and strange chambers. Many were full of the Clayr's written records, mainly documenting the prophesies and visions of many generations of seers.

Right. https://gofund.me/74494d4f
17 days until I leave town for surgery.
10 days to finish finalizing all the financial end of things.
Oh this has gotten so real in the last week. I thought the anticipation and excitement wouldn't be as big of a deal this time around as last, but I am, well, really bad at calculating that kind of thing. Because oh my god it's almost here and I am SO NOT READY. I have about half the supplies I need and I'm getting the rent prepayment taken care of this weekend, which will pretty much break the bank for me at that point. There's about a third of the fundraising total left to fill, which is the part that covers food and my stay in Spokane, and well, it's not there yet, so here I am again, asking you to help if you can. Please, even if it's just five bucks or a share on social media to your friends, all of it helps, and I am just so close. Anything you can do would be awesome. Thanks.
Also trying to figure out what message to send as a thank you to everyone who helped so far, and um, how do you say "thanks for helping me fix my body, my mind, and my life?" Words don't quite seem to cover it.

I'm watching the only valid version of Lilo & Stitch and I completely forgot they didn't draw a cartoon version of Elvis for this scene. They just used an actual portrait of him. This movie is so great.

...but diy hrt?! What if some desperate kid gets their hands on that kind of info?
If some kid is so desperate to be on hormone therapy and their living situation or parents won't help them, their doctor won't help them, their state clinics won't help them, and every legal resource has utterly failed to help them, and they stumble across a handy linked guide of all sorts of resources that could still help them anyways?
FUCKING GOOD.
Trans kids deserve better than what's allowed to be given to them in SO MANY CASES. Fix your hearts.

it sucks that even todo lists get affected by the adhd 'absorption of stationary objects into their environment thus leading to effective invisibility' thing

I'm not even kidding when I say the best way to deal with homophobes and racists is to say "Wow, what a weird thing to say". I've done it three times under people's comments, and they literally never try arguing. They don't even respond, not even to other people who comment. Extra points if you follow it up with some variation of "The Enemy has made a place in your heart. I'll pray for you"/ any Christian bs phrasing. It shuts them up so quickly
I haven't had a chance to use it irl, but you bet your ass the first chance I get, I'm gonna
