DE:  Illustrationen aus dem Buch „Wenn Teenager leiden“ (ursprünglicher Titel: „Lass mal Therapie gehen“), für das ich 2022 knapp 50 Illustrationen zeichnen durfte. Im Buch beschreibt Therapeutin Dr. Nina Jordis die Erfahrungen von fünf Jugendlichen, die aus verschiedenen Gründen eine Verhaltenstherapie bei ihr gemacht haben. Ihre Geschichten sind eindrücklich und nachvollziehbar erzählt und das Buch hilft, Kindern und Jugendlichen Angst und Skepsis gegenüber einer Therapie zu nehmen. Themen sind unter anderem: Angst, Depressionen, Phobien, Online- und Videospielsucht und Bulimie.

„Wenn Teenager leiden“ ist 2024 im Remote Verlag erschienen. Für junge Menschen (und deren Eltern), die über eine Therapie nachdenken, ein lesenswertes und hilfreiches Buch. Es hat mich gefreut, Zeichnungen beisteuern zu dürfen. ISBN: 978-1960004505

EN:  Illustrations from the book “Wenn Teenager leiden”, for which I was asked to draw around 50 illustrations in 2022. In the book, therapist Dr. Nina Jordis describes the experiences of five teenagers who attended behavioral therapy with her for various reasons. Their stories are impressively and comprehensibly told and the book helps children and young people in overcoming their fears and skepticism about therapy. Topics include: Anxiety, depression, phobias, online and video game addiction and bulimia.

“Wenn Teenager leiden” was published by Remote Verlag in 2024. For young people (and their parents) who are thinking about therapy, it is a helpful book that is well worth reading. I was pleased to be asked to contribute drawings. ISBN: 978-1960004505

Eight tiny drawings of the Russian chapel on Mathildenhöhe in Darmstadt, played in sequence. One really has to focus on drawing quickly when making a sequence like this, otherwise it takes forever. Setting a timer at three minutes for each drawing helps a lot!

DE: Ich habe einen Font aus dem Handlettering meines Freundes und Kollegen Moritz Stetter gemacht. Mit diesem wird das Lettering längerer Text-Passagen deutlich einfacher. Der Font wird regelmäßig eingesetzt, zu sehen auf www.moritz-stetter.de/comics/.

DE: “Rote Blüten” enthält zwanzig Geschichten von Yoshiharu Tsuge, die zwischen 1966 und 1973 in der Zeitschrift “Garo” veröffentlicht wurden. Für den 2019 bei Reprodukt erschienenen Band durfte ich das Lettering übernehmen.

DE: Suehiro Maruo, der Meister des erotisch-grotesken Manga, legt mit Band 2 von “Der lachende Vampir” eine weitere Geschichte zwischen Skurrilität und Dekadenz vor. Für die 2022 bei Reprodukt erschienene deutsche Ausgabe durfte ich das Lettering übernehmen.
