none of the clocks in my house work anymore. Not that it was a conscious decision on the humans part allowing them to decay purposefully, but they simply began to slow down, and came to a standstill one by one. and no one bothered to change or fix them. 

but we always know what approximate time it is when there are people in the house. it is a fine balancing act between humans and rituals and routines and humans. if i were by myself, i would fall into a limbo of temporaliti-less-ness. i cannot divulge the certain lo-fi activities occurring in this particular space called home but it is a comforting chant, a trance-life reaction against the monolith exterior.

let me try to describe my sleep experience from last night:

I knew I was ready for a deep sleep - I’ve slept about 4 hours in the past 30 hours - my body was so ready. and yet my mind was anticipating the effects of the 2 5htp pills I took about an hour before I dropped to bed. some background: I get the most ridiculously vivid and sometimes frightening, or pure uncanny dreams when I take this sleeping aid, though I do not take it to help me sleep but rather to replenish my serotonin levels ravaged by occasional health issues. i literally felt like i was sinking into the ‘dreams zone’,, oft at the edge of unconsciousness and wakefulness, teetering off either end, dipping my proverbial toes into the pools of unsuspecting narratives that desire to consume my mind once i slip in; at the same time my mind resisting, furiously trying to pull me out of the limbo i am destined to lapse into shall i fall asleep. it was an internal battle. i don't remember the ‘dreams’ per se but i remember my mind believing them as terrifying at that moment. 

I quite like the term ‘micro-awakening’ but i would like to describe my situation as a forced consciousness. my head throbs now and i cant sleep. how am i to call myself an ecofeminist warrior when i cant even sync my body with the sun AND moon?
