Check out this video "Eccentric Sunday | Talking Entitlement" https://www.twitch.tv/eccentricdp/v/1119251195?sr=a&t=2715s
I had a relatively short stream today where I touched on the topic of entitlement. I watched a dope video on YT that really provided a great amount of entertainment. The video wasn't that long, but I had a field day going through it. I also covered healthy entitlement and what that means to me....and then some random topics kinda came up out of nowhere. It was fun. At least for me. Check it out!

Today is the first day I realized that writing can actually be fun. Apparently I've been doing it wrong for the last decade. Go figure.
I started a horror short today that was set during a real time in my life. I've even loosely featured myself and my then roommate to go through some trippy stuff. Something I like about this project is that I really didn't mean for it to happen. I had a thought this morning, "Write a horror short" and then this came out of nowhere.
I am normally a planner when I write. I like to have the story kind of done in terms of what it is and where I want to go with it. Then I get bored. So this time I am letting the story move in real time as I'm writing. I have no idea why it started the way it did or where it's going. But I'm having fun with it.... There's so much blood, man. It's fantastic.
I hope you all had a great Sunday.

This scene was so good! For whatever reason this just randomly popped into my head, and I figured that we could all use a reminder of how good this was.

The Gossip Girl reboot has been interesting. It seems the theme of this episode was "identity" for the main story of the series. Julien needed to find herself outside of Obie. Zoya needed to find herself with Obie. Obie needed to recognize himself in reference to both Julien and Zoya. With that said, I have some thoughts about the 3 main stories of this episode.
Audrey, Max, and Aki: I'm not 100% feeling their story right now. I feel like the characters are not behaving like actual humans. Shouldn't Audrey be questioning Aki's sexual orientation considering she just found out that he hooked up with Max and has a gay dating app on his phone where he has been talking to other guys? They kissed and made up as if they had nothing else to talk about.
And shouldn't both Aki and Audrey be pissed at Max for lying and betraying both of them? He undermined their relationship and publicly put them on blast. I think they were annoyed with him, but I would lose all sense of trust with Max if I were them. It seems like the writers want the throuple to happen, and so they are writing the characters in such a way that will take them to that destination no matter what. I really hope I'm wrong about that, and the throuple takes more time form so that they can properly work out these issues
Also, Rafa should've been turned off by Max with the whole public fake cheating scandal starring his face. Like, this kid used you to publicy confront his dad for cheating on his other dad. Max could've used any random guy for the fake account, but he chose to use Rafa. It shows a high level of immaturity from Max, and so I couldn't imagine letting him sleep on my sofa so soon after that. Like, don't pull someone innocent into your mess.
With all that said, it was nice to learn more about Max's home life, and seeing him breakdown about his fathers was a great step forward for his character to me. I've felt like they focused too much on his sex life, so it was good to see him be more than that. However, if they want the throuple to happen, why not have him breakdown to both Audrey and Aki? At least then I could buy them quickly getting over everything.
Julien, Zoya, and Obie: I liked their story. Everything was perfect when it came to them trying to find themselves. I loved Julien's scenes of her partying and trying to find a new relationship. It showed that she's still young and dumb to some degree, which is relatable. I loved that her story took her to a more leveled placed where she ended up scheming to expose her dad's relationship. Their climax didn't feel as loud as Max's, so I wasn't too mad at her plan.
Zoya feeling like she should change to appease social media was great. It's a very current issue right now and it was nice to see her go back to being herself at the end. And it was also cool to see Obie recognize his part in the change of both Julien and Zoya. Even though it was a decision made by each girl, it was nice to see someone realize that people do things for a reason. So if you contributed to the reason that someone did something drasctic, you are somewhat responsible.....read that again slowly. You are somewhat responsible, if even a little.
The teachers: Their story was small, but effective. They are becoming horrible people the deeper they go down the GG rabbit hole. Its kind of fascinating in an overarching kind of way. Like, the story of the episode didn't hold enough weight for me to be stressed for them. I didn't really care if they were exposed or not, but I did get a lot out of what they're willing to do to hold onto GG. So I liked their story.
Overall, this was a pretty good episode. I like the Julien/Zoya/Obie story just as it is, so I have no expectations for them right now. However, I heard that Zoya's dad and Julien's dad will have a Lily and Rufus friendly vibe, and I'm ready to see it.
But I want more from the teachers. They gotta become more evil, specifically Kate. I need her to turn on everyone and take them down before they could get to her. I can see her changing the password one day and putting her fellow teachers on blast.
And I definitely need more from Audrey and Aki. She better have some questions for him and not just immediate acceptance. I want to see the process of acceptance so that way we can know the characters more. How she handles a conversation like that will show us a lot about her. And seeing Aki answer her questions will do a lot for his character too.
Monet and Luna also need more shine. And it seems like we're going to get it soon so I'm looking forward to future episodes. Well...til next week.
