“So what is it like being king?” Macaque asked. The two hadn’t seen each other much since Wukong’s coronation. “It’s been great, actually. They treat me well. Sorry I’ve been busy,” Wukong responded. Macaque smiled. “It’s okay. As long as we have moments like this.” As he said that, Wukong felt as Macaque took his hand and intertwined their fingers. Wukong smiled and wrapped his tail around the others.

The two continued walking well after dark, the moon was full, and had a beautiful silver shimmer to it. “Mango,”

“Yes, Peaches?”

“I love you.”

“I love you too.”

Wukong wished he could have moments like this with Macaque forever.

Now they were on their way to pizza. Pizza! MK offered to show them a fun pizza place in town he would pass by when delivering noodles. Wukong looked over at Macaque who seemed excited. Sometimes, Wukong found himself relieved that Macaque didn’t remember the things he had done, but he also found himself wishing that Macaque remembered their small moments together.
