got the first chapter of my Fitzsimmons second chance romance AU finished! Not gonna lie, it feels super good to get the beginning of a solo fic finished because I've been so intimidated for so long. And it's a whopping 7k, too! So either the chapter wordcounts of this fic will vary wildly, lol, or buckle up because this will be a 100k+ doozy.

Also, go listen to Sleeping With A Friend by Neon Trees! That was my mood music on loop while writing this first chapter, it fit the vibe and introduces you to the fic perfectly!

went to go reread one of my shorter Fitzsimmons fics today because it's one of my highest kudos hits and I was like aw that's nice until I saw the posting date and realized it was 10 years ago next week 💀💀💀 made me remember 2015 was my first full year in AoS/Fitzsimmons fandom so happy 10th anniversary to me I guess? I will actually have a fic to post this year in celebration after a year off. I'm excited!

I completed an outline! Woo boy it's gonna be a long one I think 😅 writing a solo fic right now is so intimidating after so long off but I think I could make this a good one if I take my time and don't pressure myself.

anyway I think it could be a really nice fast to slow burn story (friends to lovers to strangers to friends to lovers) that would be my typical angst with a happy ending, I just have so many fic spinning plates right now as I struggle to get back into fic writing after my hand injury.

kinda poking at filing the serial numbers off Mediterranean Holiday for fun and it's kinda exciting! I'd have to rebrand that bluesky author account I made for a Looking For Heaven rewrite that has like 10 posts on it, though. Or just create another pen name. WHAT MATTERS

the thing about CC is that she did plagiarize. she was found guilty of plagiarism and banned from fanfiction dot net! she plagiarized pamela dean, among others, and lied about it repeatedly! it happened! and regardless of whatever else she writes, regardless of whether the publishing industry and her fans trust her not to do it again, regardless of how many times her wikipedia page gets scrubbed clean, that will always have happened! so it is not in fact cruel gossip, but a factually true statement, to say that she plagiarized and i'm not interested in supporting her or giving her the benefit of the doubt because she plagiarized and lied about it repeatedly! fuck!
