Complaining to one of our coworkers about how I hate a specific part of our job and they go "Didn't you say you actually loved doing this part?" WHO IN THE SYSTEM SAID THAT ??? Whoo????
And now I'm mentally cursing whoever in the system said they liked doing this. Why???? Cause that's all they schedule us for now !!!

The way we have interpreted it is as "the rules for what is valid is so restrictive pretty much every system is excluded" / a way to poke fun at fake claiming in the plural community. I don't know if it's really the most effective at combatting fakeclaiming. I don't think the trend is harmful to the plural community but I do worry that people are opening themselves to getting harrased by fakeclaimers easier. Don't think we'd do the trend, partially because of that and we just don't like publically posting about headmates unless they want to post themselves/feels like I'd be mocking my headmates by doing that :/ I don't have a problem with other systems doing it though.
-Torin
Mostly agree with Torin but I don't agree with the "opening themselves to getting harrased" cause tbf just existing as openly plural is "opening yourself up to harrassment." With how most fakeclaimers tend to be. And tbh if other members were cool getting posted for it I'd be down to join the fun.
- Dáithi
one trend i've seen on multiple social media platforms among systems is listing what alters would get you fakeclaimed and why.
i'm very blurry today so very mixed feelings. but i wanted to ask.
what do you think about this trend/meme? is it harmless or not? what message do you find being conveyed from such posts? would you create such a post yourself?

I made forearm crutches!!!! they work like a charm and I'm really proud of how they turned out, especially since I was just flying by the seat of my pants when it came to measurements, method, and pattern particularly for the leather :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
if anyone's curious about how it went or wants to know how you could make your own crutches (or cane, I previously made my cane also out of the same wood but don't have a good picture) feel free to dm me or send me an ask and I'd be more than happy to help and/or answer questions!!
edit: I answered an ask here going pretty in-depth about my construction methods

Coining: 🐾 Animaship 🐾
(PT: Coining: 🐾Animaship🐾)
A practice/experience similar to that of dæmonism or traumagenic headmates, animaship is when a time of strong, consistent emotion takes sentience. This being will attached itself to whoever was experiencing those emotions. The emotions can be positive or negative, but are more often negative
Animaee (pt: Animaee) The being created by the emotions. They will often be a manifestation of that period in a person's life, and take the form of a significant/symbolic animal(though they can be other things such as objects or people). They can be intentionally created or come about naturally
Animaer (pt: Animaer): The one who experienced the emotions. Some will be able to control the movements of their Animaee

The WIP symbol: (input appreciated)

Anyone at all can use these terms! I mainly made them for myself but I'll be delighted if others use them. Feel free to ask any questions you may have

A rambling update on the buttons.
First off. I realized that I had the amount of buttons that no one could possibly go through in their lifetime. I did the most obvious thing. I asked the people helping me sort if they'd like to fill a snack bag with buttons(with the caveat that I could say no because some of these I won't share). When I say they were thrilled, I mean it took 2 whole hours for them to decide. Sorting buttons,
"Oh, is this one okay?" "Can you pass me all the ones that look like these?"
It was lovely. The buttons belong there.
Back to the ones I'm keeping!
I love the concept of the binder of buttons with pages of sewing on buttons. I have encountered a, predictable in hindsight, problem.
So you pick a spot.
Tumblr media
You put the button down and poke two holes with the sheet on cardboard(so you don't poke tiny holes in your nice table).
Tumblr media
Then you sew the button on and tie the back.
Tumblr media
This takes a minimum of two stations. The poking a hole station(on cardboard) and the sewing station. Because the buttons are different sizes; it's not feasible to punch many holes at a time. I might be able to take a picture of all the buttons set up, but it's been frustrating to set up that way so far.
So that's problem one, but that's when problem two occurred to me.
If I have pounds of buttons, then I'll have pounds of button binders.
So I'm thinking I do a different approach.
I may sort of braid the buttons onto strands or otherwise tie them together and keep those in sorted boxes. With a representative button on a cardstock page. Then the button can have a box letter and a button number.
It would be a fraction of the work and more logically sound.
I have had help sorting them. I have done things fully sorted into baggies and about 2/5 still left to sort. So I'll start with the most sorted of the buttons.
There are a lot of buttons that came off of button up shirts. I know because the bag had a note in a cassette about a specific shirt. And these look very similar.
Tumblr media
I strung these on a long piece of spare floss.
Tumblr media
And here is where I remembered that I wanted to put a single button on a page to mark what I had. I'm not taking these apart, but that's a solid whoops.
Into the box they go.
The box is from a box of small boxes I've kept and reused for various small box things. They originally had fossils in them. Then beads. Then knick knacks. Now buttons. I've reused the packing material carefully so it's still in nice condition. In case I ever need to ship my buttons I guess? I don't know, but having them safely packed is nice.
Tumblr media
Moving on!
Tumblr media
Right? Very nice and easy to use.
It's in box A and counting the button on the sheet, I have 5 buttons. Bare minimum, I'm doing this with the plainer buttons. I'm positive this is it. It does mean I'll need a binder and boxes, but this is more feasible.
I realized after doing a couple like this that I could stack the buttons and tie a bow on top with the floss I'd sent through the holes. This saved even more time.
Rinse and repeat
Tumblr media
And there are now 12 buttons stored conveniently and labeled with box location plus total amount of buttons.
Tumblr media
I hit the picture limit. I'll need to elaborate more later for that and so I can sleep.
As I find buttons that have no match, I'll be putting that into my button jar. I have found some matches already between the button bow and the button jar! This is extra exciting because some have been without a match a minimum of a decade in my hands.
I hope to be back at it today(I say at 5am). Yesterday had been mostly gardening related. +96 seedlings gently stuck into 96 cells. That just about caught me up on gardening for the next day or two! I should be clear to, hopefully, finish 12 more button types onto the paper

Realizing someone was the host during a very specific time in our life and that literally makes everything about them and how we acted then make so much sense. Even wilder looking at their SP page and realizing just how obvious that information should have been based on what we know.

Something I was talking about with some friends in a server last night that's still on my mind is how late-stage recovery CDD systems are not really treated like people, more like a goal or a symbol (simultaneously of health and violence, depending on who you ask). We're also not really treated like we may still benefit from community and resources, there's not much out there in terms of information or spaces and we're often treated like we don't really belong when we try to be a part of general CDD spaces.
I often feel really objectified as someone in "late stage" recovery, especially when I am operating as fully fused. My experiences are used as fuel for arguments, I'm simultaneously demonized and put on a pedestal, but I'm not often really treated like just any other person with DID.
I often feel like I'm not really allowed to have symptoms or have periods where I am not doing so well with my DID, people expect me to be "cured" and at the same time are very quick to remind me that "fusion can always fail and you'll split again".
It feeds a lot into the perfectionism I struggle with that I mentioned in this post.
I have noticed that most CDD systems in the spaces I've frequented are early-recovery or no-recovery, and a good amount are also pretty new to figuring out they're a system and/or CDD, which is fine, just means there's not really a lot of late-stage recovery folks around and a lot of misinformation tends to get spread about late-stage recovery. I often feel pretty alienated from the community with the point I'm at with my DID and recovery.
When I talk about my experiences with fusion and recovery, it is often that others don't really get what I'm talking about, and that can be really isolating.
As well, most system spaces focus a lot on having alters/parts, and on being separate individuals, and on splitting, and my system just doesn't really... work that way anymore, unless I'm doing particularly poorly and need that sort of separation. My parts more or less function like IFS parts more than DID parts nowadays, a lot of the time. I even started working with an IFS therapist recently.
At this point, IFS is actually more of a helpful framework for understanding my system than what the CDD community has been providing me, because the CDD community largely just doesn't really have any resources for systems that don't function like early-recovery systems do, or any understanding of the differences in system function.
And I kind of just... wish it was different, because I love the CDD community, it has been my home for quite a while now and it always will be, I think. I just often don't really feel as supported as someone with DID in a later stage of recovery as I was in an earlier stage of recovery, and that makes me feel kind of sad. I've largely had to find resources on my own, and aside from the small community of late-stage DID recovery folks on here I don't really get that same sense of shared experiences or community anymore.

(writing this interpretating it as it's any introjects and not just fictives)
Honestly for us it depends on what you'd even consider an introject. Its a lot less clear cut than it should be. There's some that have fictional identity that are unclear if you could say it's just fictionkin or just fictive. Some of us at some point looked like other's we knew, but now have changed so much that it'd feel weird to even compare them. Or even some that just we aren't sure if they're an introject or if they just happened to share a trait or two with someone.
If its a more liberal definition including anyone who at some point could be based on someone or at any point identified as someone else. Then it'd be heavily weighted on the side of introjects
If its a more exclusive definition: those who currently identify themselves as fictive/factive and discounting any one who it might be more kin related for. Then really only like three people.
