Closing the blog...

Hey guys, I’m not going to dwell over this, I’m just going to say it simply;

I’m(probably) closing this blog.

I won’t delete it, but I will no longer be accepting questions or really doing anything on here. I kind of just lost interest in this blog and I don't really like where it was going? I am grateful for all the followers I have received and I know this is a big disappointment for some of you but I just lost interest. Also, I have wanted to post more on Tumblr. I wanted to be MORE than an Ask Blog, I wanted to post more Eddsworld and not even JUST that, maybe some art of other fandoms and even some of my own creations! I guess I could have just made a second Tumblr account, but I don't want to have to keep up with two Tumblr accounts while I already have a few accounts I have to keep up with on other social medias. It would eventually grow to the point of becoming less fun platform and more of a stressful priority.

That’s basically what’s on my mind. I’m sorry for keeping you all waiting just for this, and thank you to everyone who was keeping up with this blog. With that aside, I will be making another Tumblr soon. I will post it here once it is created.

Concerning the Inbox

Now some people may have read one of my comments on a recent post, or if you haven’t, you may have possibly noticed that I closed my Inbox.

Why?

Now, this doesn’t apply to everyone! I know I am getting newer followers and I know some people may have not been asking things as of recently, but this is very important, so don’t just ignore this post, please.

I love everyone’s questions and comments so far! I really do! I didn’t expect this blog to get this much attention this fast, and it is very exciting! However, I had to close my Inbox for a couple of reasons. First off, I need to work on the next big Chapter Update. This update is taking much longer to make, since I kind of have to make a lot of different art for it, especially considering this is a GIANT BASE and there is going to be a lot of different rooms and more characters and such being added. Please understand I am not an art making machine that can obey your every whim. You’ll need to be patient. Almost everyone is being patient so far, and that makes me feel good considering I know how people can be inconsiderate sometimes and that when a community grows bigger and bigger, it gets more and more negative attention rather than good.

Now, wouldn’t it be hard to work while you have to answer a bunch of questions at the same time?

Why yes, it would be! I hope I am not sounding rude, but this needs to be addressed. Again, this doesn’t apply to everyone. Updates and posts like these are VERY IMPORTANT TO READ! You might miss something crucial. Now why am I mentioning this? Well, I made a post probably in the middle of Chapter Two(It was originally intended to be at the end of the Chapter, but that isn’t the case now, is it?) concerning the asks. I explained that I would appreciate that no one ask any more questions unless they were specifically for me. I thought it felt fair and that a good amount of people would hopefully listen to this so that I didn't have to close the Inbox entirely and that, if I were asked questions about me in general, it would only be a few words of an answer.

This... was not the case.

Instead, I was bombarded with different questions and such. Again, I enjoyed answering them, but I could’ve used that time to work on Chapter three instead. I’m not mad, or disappointed, but I felt like that I could have trusted you guys enough that it wouldn’t come down to this... but it did unfortunately. I figured that there would at least be one or two people still asking questions for the characters, but it was more than just two. It was kind of a group of people more of.

I don’t know what else to say either than this; PLEASE read these posts, be patient, and if I request something of you guys, please understand why I would want it that way and obey it. I also have a life outside of the internet and fandom, so please respect that as well. Until Chapter three is finished, the Inbox is CLOSED! If you must contact me, you can message me on Tumblr or, if you know of this blog through Amino, then Amino as well.

Aside from that, I hope you all are enjoying this blog very much and I apologize is if I sounded a bit rash. I had to make a post like this, but it felt necessary. Thank you for keeping up with the blog, and thank you for(hopefully) reading this post!

Sorry if I'm being invasive, but what happens if you "get in trouble...?"

Tom: Well, it kind of depends on what we do, but usually even then, the punishments are pretty harsh... Matt: I heard two of Red Leader's old soldiers were killed off once... b-but it was just a myth. Tom: You mean rumor? Matt: I think...? Tom: Anyway, hopefully when we get back to the base we don't get in trouble, which I don't think we will, but if we do, it will be... quite the show, I suppose.

Ok so one, how long has it been since you captured Edd and two, I feel like you wouldn't get in trouble by telling people classified things in the PAST IN ANOTHER UNIVERSE. In our universe the time from where you guys and Edd looked like circles with lines across their face all the way to when Tord did that stuff with his "Giant Robot" is a animated show! A great one too! A new episode is coming out in about a day from now, so pLEASE JUST TELL US THE CLASSIFIED STUFF!

Tom: What...? Look, I don't know who you are but classified means CLASSIFIED no matter what! Also, we captured Edd a few hours ago. (( Toony: Sorry if this answer looks messy, I'm answering this on my phone and everything clumps up despite pressing return. Plus I can't bold or italicize anything)) ((Also about that Edd thing... I love all the questions I am being asked, I really do! However... I made a post a little while ago about not asking anymore unless it is personal, like one for me! I thought I could be able to tell you guys and expect you guys to ease the questions down a bit while I work on the art for the next big update. I'm not disappointed! I guess I probably should have just closed my entire ask box instead. If you didn't see the post, I understand, but if you maybe scrolled past it... maybe read the Personal Updates? It would help A LOT, and you may miss a few things. That is why this Chapter has been so long.))

Matt: Looks... looks- OH MY LORD I MUST LOOK TERRIBLE! HOW COULD I HAVE FORGOTTEN THAT CRYING SWELLS UP YOUR EYES AND MAKES YOU ALL RED AND GIVES YOU... YOU... WRINKLES!? I am so embarrassed- how could I look absolutely stunning and attract people if I have WRINKLES!? I must fix this this instant!

Tom: PFFT- there he is!

Matt: Tom, I need a hairbrush.

Tom: Why in the world would we have a hairbrush in the car-

Wait so Tom, how did you get your visor? Also, do you care to elaborate on what "you've been going through"?

Tom: Well some years back, I developed eye cancer and I was loosing my sight because of it. Tord didn't want this of course, so he built me this visor that basically restored my vision and either completely stopped the spreading of my cancer, or just really slowed it down. Don’t worry though, this visor has only failed me once, and even then, Tord was right there to fix it. Though I think he only built me my visor in the first place so he could keep torturing me instead of letting me die. Who knows?

Tom: And... about earlier... I’m sorry, we can’t say anything. To put it lightly, one of us, if not both, would get... severely punished.

Matt: W-What does that mean...?

Tom: It means... we could get in very bad trouble.

Do you guys know of alternate universes of your own universe, like Tomsworld, Mattsworld, Eddshorror, Eddstale, and an au where Bing controls the world while Tord is a.... Hobo.

Toony: I don’t know how to respond to this as Matt or Tom,(unless there was a dimension travel device, but I feel like this would make the entire story of this blog MUCH different) so I’ll just answer this myself if you’re okay with that??

So let me give my two cents on these AUs. Tomsworld... I don’t know exactly why, but I really don’t like or have any interest in it. If you like it, that’s wonderful! But... I just kind of find it stupid? Please don't take any offense to my opinion, and I have respect for the creator, but... I don’t know. I feel like the animatics the creator has made could have more work put into them to look less... lazy, and I don’t get some of the characters. Like for example, why does Tord have to have an obsession with forks? I have only watched around 3 episodes, so perhaps if I watched more my opinion would change, but right now, this is my flat-out thoughts on the idea. HOWEVER! I do like the idea of a Purple Leader. Maybe not one like Tomsworld Matt, but a purple leader of some sort.

For Mattsworld, I feel like that AU makes a bit more sense. The Mattsworld I have seen looks really neat, and I guess I just like the idea of “What if Tom and Tord switched places?” or “What if Tom was in that robot instead?” I also feel like it is well written and has a lot of well thought out roles and backstory. I like how, though their roles may be changed, they still have some of their qualities, like Tord’s hentai addiction for example. Overall, I think it is pretty neat!

Moving onto Edd’s horror, I don’t exactly know what that is for sure?? From what I got from it, Matt and Tom are like insane or something and trying to kill Edd and he is slowly going insane in this secluded room?? I honestly don’t have any idea, I need to figure out what that one is about.

As of Eddstale, I’m assuming this is an AU where basically Eddsworld characters are replacing the roles of the Undertale ones. Now, I like the game Undertale and all, I’ve played it myself and it was very short, sweet, and enjoyable! However, this AU somewhat leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t know if I really like the idea of it in general?? I don’t have much of an idea, but there is something about this AU that I just don’t like. Perhaps it is the crossing over thing? I understand crossovers and all, but I guess some crossovers to me just don’t make so much sense as to why they would be crossed over in the first place. Again, if you like this AU, then nothing against  you one bit! Everyone has different opinions.

Now the Hobo Tord AU, I think I actually followed an ask blog for that?? I honestly think that this is one of the most creative AUs for Eddsworld I have ever heard of! It’s not an AU where everyone has an opposite personality or where everyone replaces the roles of characters in a different universe or everyone changes roles in general, this is actually pretty creative to me! Bing taking over the world makes a lot of sense considering he is a villain, and I like how it shines some more light on Bing rather than Tord being in control of the world instead. I know this might be going against my own blog, but their are A LOT of tropes where Tord has a big empire, but instead, they gave that role to Bing! And a Hobo Tord? I think that is also a neat idea and leaves people questions like “How did he get there in the first place?!” and stuff. I just really like this AU and I find that it is very creative overall, so kudos to the creator!

Anyway, that was my opinion on all the AUs you have listed. Sorry if I possibly wasted your time or you were expecting much more. Also- if a creator of any of these AUs see this post, I have deep respect for you all, and please don’t take too much offense to anything I have said. Same goes for you all as well. If you like Eddstale or Tomsworld, good for you, really! Some people like that type of tea, but some people don’t, and that’s okay! That’s all I have for this topic, so have a great day~!

Tom: They are water resistant, but not water proof. If I get too much water on my visor, the water may cause them to short-circuit and stop working. If they stop working... let’s just say things won’t be good for me.

Matt: Didn’t Red Leader say that you’ll have a big risk of... o-of dying?

Tom: I don’t remember. All I know is that this visor is one of the only things keeping me alive and healthy.

About Pau and Pat...

((I know I already posted this as a response, but it REALLY bothered me how disorganized it was. I don’t understand why it came out like that))

(I’m sorry, I know that the ‘Do you know Pat and Pau?’ ask was meant for Matt and Tom, but this needed to be addressed before many others asked something similar as well)

So, as for the Pat and Pau situation, I may or may not feature these two in this at all out of respect for their real life counterparts, Paul and Patryk. I just feel I shouldn’t include them in this at all?? Possibly?? I don’t know, it’s hard to explain my feelings on this. To put it simply; they may or may not be featured or even mentioned in this ask blog at all. They both don’t want anything to do with Eddsworld anymore. Pat didn’t even have much to do with it at all, he just donated some money!

Now I know some people are thinking:

“B-But you still have Tom and Tord in there!”

I KNOW where you are coming from, but here is my reasoning.

-Thomas Ridgewell does not wish to be part of Eddsworld anymore, and I completely respect that and understand why. He said the character ‘Tom’ himself can still be included however. After all, he is one of the main characters of the show, and if he were to just completely disappear, then it would be very different.

-As for Tord, it is almost the same exact situation. The actual Tord Larrson did not want to be part of Eddsworld anymore due to some unwanted attention and because he wanted to ‘stop mooching off Eddsworld and start his own career’. I fully respect and understand that. However, I believe Thomas and Eddie were given permission by Tord himself to use the character in 'The End’. Also, Red Leader will and already is playing a big part in this blog, and a big piece of WTFuture I believe would be missing if he weren’t here.

I just want any real life counterparts of the show to be enjoying their life and being respected. Tom and Eddie didn’t have to continue the show! Paul never had to animate it and Patryk never had to donate! Matt doesn’t have to be putting in hard work to try and continue the show and comics! I haven’t joined this fandom somewhat until around this time of year in 2016, and it honestly breaks my heart seeing and hearing all the stuff that went on in the past and the stuff that is STILL going on. Sometimes I think of what Tord Larrson went through and I just hope he especially is doing okay. Sometimes I wish there was some confirmation that he was,(I’m thinking he somewhat is based off what the real Matt had said) but I know he just can’t reappear after this long, after everything that has happened.

Back to the Paul and Patryk situation; they may or may not be in this blog. My mind is going back and forth on the situation. If their fictional counterparts aren’t featured they may be mentioned at the least, but if there is any case they ARE featured, they are in no way gonna be in a 'more than friends’ relationship. I know 'Pat and Pau’ are fictional, but even then I just don’t feel comfortable, plus, I’ve never seen them in a romantic relationship, I don’t know why it’s so famous?? And I honestly can’t see why. It’s also just kind of… wrong.

The decision will be made, time will tell. In the meantime, I hope you all understand and no one is disappointed. I knew at some point people would start asking about these two, and I just had to get it off of my chest.
