Massimo Branca is a photographer who is also an anthropologist and uses his photography skills to tell stories that eventually become documentations. He works a lot with families and tries to emerge himself in their family as much as possible to gain their trust and become part of the family. As he captures these images, he wants the view to emerge himself as part of the family. Instead of his images being taken from a distance where you are not invited to be closer to the reality of a families life.
Capturing these images how Branca took them would take months or years because she would need to get the trust of everyone so that she can be part of the the family and capture the images as a person who has actually grown up with them and nothing is taken from the reality that they are all captured in a real life moment.

Capturing perfectly timed photos is challenging but capturing them in the street where everything is chaotic is extremely difficult. Edas Wong a photographer does what seems to be photos at the right place and time. Some of these pictures are inspired from walking the streets of Hong Kong. He often waits patiently until the right moment happens. In one of his pictures, he describes that he waited months to get the perfect picture.
Thinking about these pictures I am shocked on how much patience someone must have to think of the perfect picture and wait until the perfect shot presents its self. Not only that but the angles and the lighting with so many other factors have to be right at the same moment to capture things that happen in life that you might never see unless you were at the same position as Wong.

PROJECT4
At first my thinking process was to go back and look at all my pictures a try to arrange or try to see which pictures had interesting connections between them. After, I selected a hand full of images I tried to write a story that would be left open for anyone to interpret the image as their own.
I think the story came together as I created the collage. At first I tried to put the burring figure at the door way however it did not seem as dramatic to see him just walk out. I also, placed other firefighter on the left to fill up the empty space and give the foreground a better balance. The ground is filled with water and leaves to give the ground a different look rather than pavement.

PROJECT 3
At first, I went out to take pictures of the leaves falling I thought the colors would be interesting for the season. I took the first picture because of the pathway how it goes out into the distance with the trees covering all the sky. However, I did not like that there was an intersecting street towards the end.
I then decided to create the end of the path into a different world or to engage the viewer to see the background. At the begging I had a single man walking in the middle but, it seemed to me that it did not have a background story to it. So, I found that a group of people walking on the path with their backpacks on would be more interesting and add to a story. That would seem like an adventure to some other world.

Artist Marian Drew shows animals that are depicted are not only animals who have died from natural causes, they are animals that have suffered from the cause of humans and the technology that we have created an example that they give are birds and powerlines. In his art she depicts the dead animals as something that needs more attention and not just leave them to be dead animals. She chose still life as she wanted to show animals as part of something else other than roadkill.
This was different to see dead animals as part of art and I did not get a sense of the animals being portrait as brutal instead I thought of the beauty of the animals. The way that Drew arranged the animals with the fruit gave made it look like if it was a normalized thing.聽
