EdinFurs September Meet - 6th September 2025

At this next meet, I consider bringing a petition to stop allowance of the sun's attempts to melt us!

I know this place is a little bit out of the way, but it is rather cozy! In a good way! Sadly, the place does not have a kitchen, so ordering food at the bar is a no-go. They allow people to bring their own food to the booked room upstairs, but be prepared to put it away if staff ask you to.

The rules:

1. Tails, con badges, small accessories and ears are fine, just be careful with the potential of knocking things off tables such as glasses. As we’ve got the upstairs space for ourselves again, we have the go-ahead for partials and full-suits, but only in the booked upstairs area. Formally, no costumes/suits (etc.) are allowed downstairs. While in suit, just remember to be wary of nearby drinks on tables and risk of overheating.

2. Don't be a jerk, creepy or overly affectionate to people.

3. Please Respect the places we are in, the staff, and the other guests present! Be considerate with our venue spaces (use of furniture/no mess etc.). Please also don't bring your own drink, within reason. Food is allowed currently, but only in the booked upstairs area. Please also buy stuff at the places we are in, it helps leave a good impression and means we could come back in the future!

EdinFurs August BBQ Meet - 2nd of August 2025

To escape the busy of the Festival, it is time again for our EdinFurs BBQ meet!

This BBQ meet will take place in The Meadows (https://maps.app.goo.gl/5yxrTHW3HtHN9TNMA), from 12:00 to 17:00. We will likely be setting up a little bit before this, so no panics if you are a little early.

Some important notes for this BBQ meet:

- BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AND DRINKS - We will be bringing the BBQ and means too cook, but no sustenance. We hope to bring some supplies like plates/napkins, but it may be useful to bring your own utensils if available or preferred.

- DIETARY REQUIREMENTS - Please let the team cooking know if you have any dietary requirements so we can try and cater to anything needed. This will likely involve sectioning the BBQ grill to separate food types.

- THE WEATHER - The weather could go from laser sun to thundering rain, so please try to protect yourself on the day. This could involve sun cream, or a jacket for example. If the weather looks bad enough the date of this meet may also be delayed forward, but lets hope not!

1: Due to the nature of the event, and the fact that we'll be in an outdoor space with no changing areas, Fursuits (including partials) will be discouraged, though not banned.  As there is fire and food around, it's generally a bad idea, but allowed if done responsibly.

I'm excited to announce that there will be another coffee meet this Friday.

It's a chance to meet friends grab a coffee and have a calm quiet chat.

After the coffee shop we will head to a chill bar in Edinburgh for a drink.😀

Please be respectful of everyone. It is a public place. I have booked some tables but there will still be others there.

No fursuits or tails. As this is just a coffee shop there isn't that much room so sadly no tails or suits.

If you're unsure and would like to meet up before going to the venue, just ping the EdinFurs Telegram group a message (contact admin to gain access) and I'm sure someone will be able to sort something out.

The usual rules also still apply:

1.  Please no prominent Tails at the meet, this has to do with potentially knocking things off of the tables. Conbadges, small accessories and ears are fine. As we’ve got the space for ourselves again, I’m giving the go-ahead for partials and full-suits. Just beware the drinks of the table and risk of overheating.

2. Don't be jerk, creepy or overly affectionate to people you don't know.

3. Respect the places we are! Please don't bring your own food and drink, within reason. Please also buy stuff at the places we are in, it helps leave a good impression and means we could come back in the future! (Temporary adjustment as this venue does allow outside food. Still no drink though!)

4. BRING ID! Even if you're not planning to drink.

5. Please drink responsibly and look out for fellow furs.

6. You must be 18 or older to attend this meet. This is in line with the requirements for the telegram group.
