I really underestimated the satisfying power of a good yogurt fruit bowl. It was so sweet and delicious. The perfect dessert/snack 😋
1/2 cup of non fat Greek yogurt (82 cals)
1/3 cup of chopped strawberries (35 cals)
1/3 cup of blueberries (28 cals)
1/2 tbsp maple syrup (28 cals)

Im starting to get really annoyed about the ed community & rapid weight loss
I have noticed that so many ed accounts reblog posts like “i lost 7 lbs in 3 days, reblog for this to happen to you” and it BUGS me. Humans carry 5-10 pounds of something called ✨water weight ✨. This weight fluctuates depending on what you have eaten/drank in a day. You physically can’t loose 7 pounds of real weight (fat/muscle) in 3 days. So instead of providing people with impossible to attain goals lets encourage people to push on at a reasonable pace! We can do this!
PS: a little more on weight loss… you can’t loose weight in a specific area. Seeing results WILL take a while especially if you are just beginning.
 Pro tip: keep a photo log as you see your body every day making it hard to see the fruits of your labour. Sometimes results can become more prevalent if you have a 2 pictures.

these are some reasons why your weight might have spiked up overnight:
✔ you upped your sodium intake so now your body is holding onto water ✔ you ate more carbs than usual so now they are acting like sponges and holding onto water ✔ you exercised (especially strength training with weights) and now your muscles are repairing themselves to grow by holding onto more nutrients  ✔ you ate later than usual the night before so the stomach is still digesting the food ✔ you weighted yourself earlier than usual so the stomach had less time to digest food ✔ you haven’t pooped yet ✔ your body is stressed (for example by eating too few calories) and so it’s holding onto water as a defense mechanism
these are not:
✖ you went over your limit by a few hundreds kcal ✖ you ate carbs/fats/fear foods ✖ you are a failure ✖ your ed/obsession/coping mechanism is not real or valid give it another day or two and everything will be back to normal. 
take a deep breath. 
everything is fine. 
i promise. and if you are still not convinced there are so many people out here myself included that can reassure you again and again about it.

this isn’t an innovative trick by any means but whenever I’m having rice, instead of having a full serving of rice I replace half of it with riced cauliflower to get more veggies in and lower the cals a bit. riced cauliflower is nearly half the cals of rice. it’s so good with assorted veggies and a bit of no sugar added marinara sauce. it’s my new fav go to dinner.
