I think that large companies having so much data on its users has some very severe implications. While companies farm this data with the excuse of the user gaining a more personalized experience, there are many companies that then sell this data to phising scams in order to gain more money. I believe most people don't really understand what kind of data is being collected from them and how invasive this practice is. Especially considering cases in which this information is leaked via a security breach, like the case earlier this year with several twitter accounts of famous celebrities being hacked and the hackers posting scam links. Many people fell for it and actually sent money to the hackers in order to win a cash prize, and some of these people weren't wealthy enough to deal with the damages. I don't believe that all tech companies have enough security measures to protect the privacy of its users.

While searching online, I found that github has specific resources that are aimed towards teachers. After looking more into these resources, I think it would be useful for me as a future teacher since Github Classroom helps with giving students feedback and grading their work. This, I feel, is especially important in this day and age where technology is becoming more and more prominent and when the current situation in the world necessitates online learning. There are also other helpful tools in the GitHub Teacher Toolbox which I can use in order to create different online activities for my students to accomplish. Especially in the field of maths, it's important to be able to visualize the lesson so that it won't seem as unfamiliar to the students, which I think the resources in the toolbox could help with.

1. The files important to me are: my math and physics textbooks, my vacation photos and videos, my music, my translation notes, and the videos I've made.
2.

3. One of the possible problems I could encounter is that I tend to forget passwords often so there are quite a few accounts that I've been locked out from and am unable to access because I forgot my log-in details. Another consequence of my forgetfullness is that I often misplace my items such as my USB devices, although I usually find them again after searching. One of the problems I'm most worried about is either one of my phones or my laptop breaking and beinh unable to recover my files since it has happened before.
4. For the first problem, I've been trying to make sure that I have a copy of the various passwords I have on a word document. For the second problem, I've been organizing my belongings in such a way where I have a certain space for my USB devices and I always place them there after I use them. For the third problem, I try to stay away from sketchy sites and clean out my phones / laptop as often as I can. I also use anti-virus software.

I personally don't think that technology is neutral. Although at first, I'd thought it was neutral because it's just a tool that humans use and thus has no moral inclination — which way it sways is only subject to the user's intentions. However, thinking about it more deeply, I realized that technology isn't a natural occurrence but rather a manmade invention. Unlike volcanic eruptions, floods, and other natural disasters that cannot be described as evil because there is no intent behind it, technology is made with a purpose and intention. It is because of this that I believe technology isn't neutral. I think it's only natural for humans to imbue their creations with their intent whether they mean to or not. This is why I believe that technology carries with it the moral inclinations of its creator. For example, tiktok is currently gaining popularity amongst the teens. While it is impossible to know for sure the intentions of those who created it, it has been proven numerous times that the application mines and stores the data of its users. It's functions like these that show the intent of the creator and cause the technology to be skewed rather than neutral.
