Oh, my. I had no idea they were different dudes. I'm relieved. I remember being slightly disappointed that they had charged the Medicine Seller's character design. Moreover, he seemed to have a somewhat different personality than his series "counterpart", so it felt inconsistent. But taking that into account, it makes a lot more sense now.

It also means... It's lore-digging time!

A few days late but happy Halloween 2024 to you all! A while back, I made a YouTube playlist compiling Spirit Hunter lore in canonical chronological order. Having recently discovered the Little Nightmares audio drama, I felt like doing the same for this video game series.

Here's the content of my playlist (most of it comes from Manlybadasshero's channel):

1-6: Egagameplay4U's Very Little Nightmares walkthrough

I think most of the 2021 comic takes place just before Little Nightmares 2, except for Episode 2 which may be set during the game. Any thoughts? The 2021 comics can be read for free on the official app.

7-9: Manlybadasshero's Let's Play - Little Nightmares 2 (prequel game)

10-15: Manlybadasshero's Let's Play - Little Nightmares (game + DLC's)

16-21: The Sound of Nightmares (audio drama). I'm not sure where it fits in the canon timeline, but judging by Otto's reaction when Noone finds the yellow raincoat, I hypothesized that Cici was The Girl in the Yellow Raincoat from Very Little Nightmares. If that were the case, then The Sound of Nightmares should be set decades after the games. The Sound of Nightmares was recorded in French, Italian, German and Italian too! Note à l'intention des francophones: la VF de The Sound of Nightmares est géniale! J'en ai encore des frissons. Je recommande très fortement!

22: Little Nightmares 3 trailer

The 2017 comic series has been discontinued, and likely de-canonized. I haven't finished reading it, but it appears to be set during Little Nightmares.

I will probably be editing this post and the playlist in the next few weeks, when I'm done re-watching everything and failing my exams. In the meantime, enjoy and tell me if I got something wrong or forgot something.

I'm a little late, and there are probably already quite a few of these, but here is my playlist of all the songs of Epic: The Musical, Jorge Rivera-Herrans's musical based on Homer's The Odyssey. As of today, six concept albums have been released - the newest, The Thunder Saga, was released earlier this month - and the first few seem to have been re-recorded. I intend to update this playlist as Rivera-Herrans's project progresses.

I strongly recommend you take a listen. It explores complex themes and it's very well-written.

Having just watched Malybadasshero's Death Mark 2 let's plays, I have decided to compile all of his Spirit Hunter let's plays, as well as the official Death Mark audio dramas with Eng subs, in one gigantic playlist sorted in canon chronological order.

Here's the list (please, do tell me if I missed something):

1-5: "Death Mark - Chapter 0" (prequel audio drama)

6-21: Death Mark - Manlybadasshero let's play (1st installment of the Spirit Hunter series, set in the 90's)

22-27: "Everyday Life in Kujou Mansion" ("sequel" audio drama)

28-52: "Blue Demise" (audio drama, set in an alternate timeline)

53: "The Seven Mysteries of Kujou Mansion" (audio drama, set in another alternate timeline)

54-60: Death Mark 2 - Manlybadasshero let's play (3rd installment of the Spirit Hunter series, set 4 months after the events of Death Mark)

61: Death Mark 2 extra chapter fan translation (no official English release)

62-79: Spirit Hunter: NG - Manlybadasshero let's play (2nd installment of the Spirit Hunter series, set in 1999, about 5 years after Death Mark)

If you're a nostalgic fan looking for chronologically organized lore, there you go. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend getting into this series with the prequel audio drama. Instead, start with the 1st game to avoid spoilers.
