#CircleofLife | It's the theme of this amazing #park/open air #museum. Basicly, you walk through the different "parts" of the park takes you to different "phases" of life which you can observe in #naked #sculptures of babies, children, teenagers, old men, and even skeletons. On the top of the hill, with a great #Oslo #panaroma behind, it's almost like a #manifest: the #Monolith consisted of 130 #human figures holding each other carved into stone and "The wheel of life" which represents #eternity, with the human figures and a baby floating in #harmony in a circle. Armenian heritage in today's Turkey is, unfortunately, mostly neglected. #Akdamar is one of the few salvaged #Armenian churchs. This was my second visit, it's nice to see finally the government gave permission to minorities for couple ceremonies. Built on the #island the church is isolated and preserved all its #carvings and some #frescoes.
