“you need to get over it.” mistakes happen, hearts get broken, life goes on. nothing is permanent anyway. his head tips to the side and he glances over at his company, arms folding over his chest. “you need to not worry about it so much, come hang out with me and get your mind off things– we’ll find a way to make you feel better.” for once he feels as nice as his words sound, it’s a genuine offer and he really wouldn’t mind spending some more time with a friend in need. schedules keep eating him alive so hanging out with someone that had nothing to do with work would be nice. a break for him, some help for her. “sounds good, nah?”

i need flowers.” he grins, eyes forming crescents as he leans over the desk. “or maybe not.” of course he doesn’t need flowers, sehun hasn’t bought flowers for anyone since he was fourteen and his mother forced him to buy a bouquet for his teacher that had helped him pass math. of course, luhan wouldn’t know. they had only known each other for what-- a few weeks? it’s not often that sehun gets to make new friends, schedules eat him alive and forces him to sometimes be away from home for more than a month. so naturally when a new friend comes along, he usually tells them about his busy life.

 today however is a day off and he wasn’t planning on spending it alone. “and i owe you coffee for that one time when i forgot my wallet so i’ll wait until your shift is over. it’s not debatable, luhan. you already told me yesterday that you get off work in fifteen minutes and clearly i’m bored so you’re coming with me.”

 “no i’m serious actually--”  sehun pauses again, this time to take a sip from the drink in his hands, peachy pink bubble tea floating in a plastic holder. “she did say that and then i was like-- what the? you know, i’ve never been approached like that before so i was really confused.” it sounds a bit more heartfelt than it should, after all it’s not a big problem or anything so sehun adds a light laugher after his words, shaking his head as he looks down at the tea in his hands. “did that ever happen to you?”

chanyeol pursed his lips tightly, looking down at his feet. it was dark, too dark for him to be able to see them but still. he couldn’t look at the other without feeling some type of horrible shame. maybe a haunted house was a bad idea. maybe going inside was a bad idea. now look at them, hostages in an unknown place all because he wanted to see. he was terrified. he really was, but this would pass… wouldn’t it?

he shook his head, pushing aside the terrifying thoughts of never getting out or even dying. “i’m sorry…” he muttered, low enough for the other to hear. he didn’t want to give away their location. not after all the trouble he went through to find it with the male. god, he felt so stupid. 

a haunted house. he had been in one before actually but that time with someone else and with cameras catching every movement he made or word he said. this time it wasn’t like that and this time he couldn’t just give up and walk out - to be more clear: he was definitely lost inside a haunted house. lucky enough to not be alone, sehun immediately decides to blame the other because what else is there to do -- really. “why’d you take me here i hate the dark and the air in these places are so cold and bad my skin’s gonna get all dry--” but they had been friends for quite some time so chanyeol would know that sehun’s endless nagging wasn’t a personal attack or anything. it’s just who he is. 

“i think its this way.” he mumbles and reaches out to grab the other male’s hand before pulling him along. it’s not really cold but it’s definitely cold enough for sehun to have another thing to complain about. which happens to be very unfortunate for his company since once he starts complaining there’s no way he’ll stop. “you better buy me hot chocolate after this or this friendship is cancelled.”
