one thing i've noticed tangential to this post is that there's this demographic of people who seem to think that like. so long as they are morally in the right it doesn't matter if the arguments they're using to defend their position are grounded in reality?

it's a tendency i think people mostly associate with the right but frankly i see it a lot in progressive spaces? if you point out to someone that a fact they're using to back up their argument isn't true or that or that the argument they're using to back up their position doesn't hold any water they'll react as if you attacked their position rather than their argument.

very frustrating.

This!!!! and i don't think that opinion is rly a product of your asexuality and panromanticness (if that's what you meant); i'm very much not either yet the idea of parceling people up into different categories based on their "sex" (when sex really isn't as rigid as humans often like to claim) or, even worse, what a doctor says at someone's birth is just utterly revolting to me. so, so often do i see this being brought up and it always just seems to me to be transphobia or something along those lines, whether its consciously intended or not. There seems to be this assumption that being of a certain sex or agab or whatever qualifies means you have some immutable qualities from that as a result when thats just absolutely not true.

imo, if you say you wouldn't date someone of their agab or sex you're just being transphobic, plane and simple.

#utterly idiotic and useless #no one needs to know that information #and by no one i literally mean *no one*#including romantic and sexual partners #if i don't wanna tell ya #ya aren't gonna know #and ppl who say otherwise should probably do some introspection into your internalized transphobia and prejudices #bc if you feel that i'm any different bc a doctor said i was a different gender then that's a you problem #i'm very opinionated on this. AGABs are stupid and should be abolished #they only further prejudice. even within the queer community.
