Ranking some Aikatsu songs by how easy they are to sing
This only includes a select few songs that I'm familiar with, since I can't really judge the difficulty of a song I don't even remember.
Factors to consider
Stamina – whether it takes a lot of breath power to sing it; whether there are frequent breaks to catch your breath or not
Range – whether it has a big or small range, as well as how frequently the high/low notes appear. The range's difficulty is completely different depending on someone's voice type, but this is rated based on the usual range for Aikatsu singers, which is mezzo-soprano.
Speed – overall song tempo, and presence of fast phrases
Technicality – presence of changes to key, time signature or tempo, as well as accidentials (off-key notes). Pretty much anything that makes you use your brain while singing, or think "I need to look at the sheet music".
All of these ratings are done by Aikatsu standards. A category having a 5/5 difficulty just means it's difficult for Aikatsu, not that it's difficult for advanced professional singing. There aren't any Aikatsu songs with a 3-octave range or a time signature change every 2 seconds, so don't expect that to be considered when rating the difficulty. Similarly, a 1/5 difficulty just means it's easy by Aikatsu standards, not that it's easy for anyone. Also, this is only a rating of how difficult they'd be for the "average" singer. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses.
Hardest to easiest
Kouya no Kiseki (18)
Dreaming bird (16)
Usubeni Day Tripper (14)
Summer Tears Diary (13.5)
Ibara no Joou (13) Michibikarete (13) Aru ga mama (13)
Hadashi no Renaissance (12.5)
START DASH SENSATION (12) Start Line! (12) MUSIC of DREAM!!! (12)
Glass Doll (11) Moonlight destiny (11) TSU-BO-MI ~Azayakana Mirai e~ (11) Magical Door (11)
Trap of Love (10.5) Diamond Happy (10.5) Mirai Transit (10.5)
Be star (10)
Emerald no Mahou (9.5)
Ai de afurete iru (6.5)
Overview for each song under the cut.
Trap of Love
Stamina: 3.5 Range: 4 Speed: 3 Technicality: 0
Total: 10.5
Notes: It's faster than you think, especially the chorus. The frequent low notes are challenging unless you're an alto. (If you do happen to be an alto, this song is a good choice.)
Glass Doll
Stamina: 3 Range: 4 Speed: 3 Technicality: 1
Total: 11
Notes: Doesn't use a particularly wide range, but it's overall sung in a higher register, and it's hard to keep that delicate and mysterious sound when you're singing mostly medium-high notes.
Diamond Happy
Stamina: 3.5 Range: 3 Speed: 3 Technicality: 1
Total: 10.5
Notes: Despite its energetic vibe, the pace is actually not too fast, pretty easy to follow along with.
Moonlight destiny
Stamina: 3 Range: 3.5 Speed: 1 Technicality: 3.5
Total: 11
Notes: The high notes aren't actually as high as they sound, so it's a good song if you naturally have a lower range – someone with a higher range may not be able to make the high notes sound as dramatic. There is a key change in the full version, which is easy to get into because it starts with an instrumental, but it's harder to get out of.
Usubeni Day Tripper
Stamina: 4.5 Range: 4 Speed: 3.5 Technicality: 2
Total: 14
Notes: The chorus is an utter stamina nightmare. The sudden high notes are hard unless you naturally have a higher range.
Emerald no mahou
Stamina: 3 Range: 3.5 Speed: 3 Technicality: 0
Total: 9.5
Notes: Pretty easy due to being repetitive – can sort of put you into a trance. Very frequent lower notes – easy if you have a decent lower range or are naturally an alto, but might be slightly challenging otherwise. The long high note at the end is intimidating, but not actually that hard.
Ibara no Joou
Stamina: 3 Range: 2.5 Speed: 3 Technicality: 4.5
Total: 13
Notes: Doesn't seem that technical, but is when you consider the blue notes, the key change, the time signature change, and the tempo changes.
START DASH SENSATION
Stamina: 3.5 Range: 2 Speed: 3 Technicality: 3.5
Total: 12
Notes: Pace is fast, but still easy to follow. Easy range except for the occasional high note in the chorus.
Start Line!
Stamina: 4 Range: 4.5 Speed: 3.5 Technicality: 0
Total: 12
Notes: I've seen some sources say that this song's range goes down to E♭3, which is crazy if true. In any case, this song requires both a strong upper range and a strong lower range. It's also pretty difficult stamina-wise, and it has lots of long notes. Melodically, though, it's very simple and straightforward.
Mirai Transit
Stamina: 3 Range: 3.5 Speed: 3 Technicality: 1
Total: 10.5
Notes: Requires a decent lower range.
Summer Tears Diary
Stamina: 3.5 Range: 3 Speed: 3 Technicality: 4
Total: 13.5
Notes: Lots of key changes, and difficult ones at that. Going from E♭ to E to C to E♭ again is not a normal key change pattern at all, and it happens so suddenly.
Dreaming bird
Stamina: 4 Range: 3 Speed: 5 Technicality: 4
Total: 16
Notes: Very fast, takes a lot of practice to get the hang of. Lots of time signature changes, too. Much easier to sing if you know a little about music theory.
TSU-BO-MI ~Azayakana Mirai e~
Stamina: 3 Range: 3 Speed: 2 Technicality: 3
Total: 11
Notes: Lots of long notes, but the area before and after them is sparse, so it's not too hard. I think the hardest part is "Go up, up / te wo nobasou / namida mo", because the pitch is really weird and it sounds like there's a key change but there actually isn't.
Kouya no Kiseki
Stamina: 4.5 Range: 4 Speed: 4.5 Technicality: 5
Total: 18
Notes: The only reason that the speed isn't a 5 is because the overall tempo is medium, it's just that there are a few incredibly fast parts. Stamina-wise, there are short places to take a breath, but you have to plan it out and be strategic. Song is difficult technically, too, since it's got key changes, time signature changes, and a complex melody.
Hadashi no Renaissance
Stamina: 4 Range: 4 Speed: 4 Technicality: 0.5
Total: 12.5
Notes: Sung in a surprisingly high range, which already makes everything harder. The chorus is an absolute stamina beast – nonstop fast phrases immediately followed by long notes, with no real pauses. I think it's understandable that Rie's breathing was a bit audible during the chorus, because man.
MUSIC of DREAM!!!
Stamina: 3 Range: 3 Speed: 3 Technicality: 3
Total: 12
Notes: Surprisingly easy to sing. Has a key change that looks difficult on paper but feels natural if you actually sing it. A good "jack of all trades" song for those who are decent at singing but don't have any particular strengths.
Ai de afurete iru
Stamina: 2 Range: 3 Speed: 1.5 Technicality: 0
Total: 6.5
Notes: Slow pace, lots of chances to catch your breath, uses an easy range except for parts of the chorus. The only difficult thing is using a voice that sounds soft and gentle but is strong enough to hit the high notes and be heard over the instrumentals.
Michibikarete
Stamina: 3 Range: 3.5 Speed: 3 Technicality: 3.5
Total: 13
Notes: Has a moderately difficult key change, a short part with triplets, and a short part with accidentals.
Be Star
Stamina: 3.5 Range: 4 Speed: 2.5 Technicality: 0
Total: 10
Notes: Uses the widest range out of all songs in the Aikatsu series.
Aru ga mama
Stamina: 3.5 Range: 4 Speed: 2 Technicality: 3.5
Total: 13
Notes: The chorus is very high.
Magical Door
Stamina: 3 Range: 3.5 Speed: 3 Technicality: 1.5
Total: 11
Notes: Doesn't go that high, but the high notes are frequent in the chorus. Melody is fairly simple, but good luck staying on key during the parts where the instrumentals get weird.

Asked people in a discord I'm in and got these results:
Some reasoning:
Head down girl: only one with head down Teal hair on the left: vibed with Akari: her hair is giving main character energy Girl alone next to window: no one next to her, window seat Empty chair: MC is not in the room currently
Bonus mention of someone hoping that its not Bepp sensei
I might have them guess the aikatsu stars version of this another time.
i like Aikatsu's dedication to ensuring that every character looks like they could be a main character
#im surprised someone got akari tho#this post is soooo old#oh well#this was the post i lost#how did this even come across my dash now idek

⚠️⚠️HELLO! WERE MAKING A “MAGICAL GIRL” INDIE SERIES AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!
My name is Kenzy and I’m creating an indie series called “Towards Galaxy’s End”
SYNOPSIS
After saving her friend in a car crash, Amina “Ami” is given a second chance at life - so long as she chooses an extinct species. She becomes a space-vampire and upon finding out 6 other girls made the same choice, sets off to form a magical girl team from something that was never meant to be magical at all.
❤️❤️IF YOURE A FAN OF LITTLE WITCH ACADEMIA, OWL HOUSE, PRECURE, AND MADOKA, THIS IS YOUR SCENE
The story is a strange take on the Magical Girl genre, as we come to learn more about these characters and how they got into this predicament. We get to meet a colorful cast from all walks of life, who are met with the chance of choosing what to do with their new found second chance. The energy will be similar to that of Studio Trigger in terms of the upbeat nature and Kyoto Ani for the heart. Choices are the true theme of this story, so it’s important to see how that plays out.
—————————————
CAST
As of right now, we have 51 days to make this happen! Our team consists of artists and voice actors that have worked in anime, like AJ Beckles (The voice of Okarun from DanDaDan), Zeno Robinson (Hawks from MHA, Hunter from The Owl House), Emi Lo ( Mao-Mao from Apothecary Diaries), LaKira Porter ( Animation Station) and plenty of other talented actors/actresses!
We also have a stacked lineup of animators that worked at Mappa, Disney, DreamWorks, OLM, Science Saru, and plenty of other So if you want to see what we come up with, please, help us reach our episode 1 goal! (And perhaps we can also make it to episode 2!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SHARE!
