Starship UI: Download

It’s here! It’s all finally here! After an entire year in development and facing several obstacles along the way, Starship UI has finally arrived! Now your eyes are finally free from bright white while simming at night!

Please note that as this uses Clean UI as a base, it will require all expansion packs and Mansion & Garden stuff to work as intended.

To keep it simple, the installation process is almost the same as Clean UI’s.

Reblogging so I remember downloading later.

More pantless bottoms! I see these flats all of the time when I look at TS4 simblrs. They've been recolored a ton for TS4, but I don't think anyone had converted them 4t2, until I used them with GP03DressFlower. I took some of my recolors from that post, made a few more, and paired them with the tiny black shorts I also used here.

They're for CF-EF, with the usual morphs. I set them as Everyday only. I thought about adding Formal, but I don't think I have many top-only formal dresses. It's pretty easy to set that yourself, if you like.

They come in the five original EAxis textures and 20 recolors. Some have brown or black soles, some are all one color.

No swatch, but here's how they look in my CAS.

Note: The modesty shorts are linked to a TXTR package (TXTR_kalux_LBshorts) that ALL of these bottoms use. Don’t delete it, unless you want truly pantless sims. It's the same one I used for the Golden Goose sneakers, so you only need one copy of it.

How I got my Sims 2 game working on my new Windows 11 laptop, step by step.

OKAY. Gadies and Lentlemen.

I have seen plenty of these around, but I wanted to share my process!

So I bought an MSI creator laptop. The specs are as follows:

CPU: 13th gen Intel i7-13700H

RAM: 16 GB DDR5

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 laptop GPU

Step One: Fresh install. I used the EA App to install the UC version on my new laptop.

Step Two: Download and install RPC launcher. This will automatically apply the 4gb patch. Run as administrator, but not in any kind of compatibility which renders the 4gb patch useless.

Step Three: Download and install Graphics Rule Maker. I used all of the recommended settings, aside from texture memory which I set at 2048 mb for reasons that will become clear later.

Step Four: Memory allocation fix (empty standby list). Explanation here.

Step Five: Setting virtual memory. I used instructions from this post at MTS - My virtual memory paging file is now minimum of 25000 and maximum of 30000. You'll need to adjust to your system's own specs.

Step Six: In game settings. Shadows Off. Neighbours Off. Lighting Medium. RPC Settings. Apply 4GB patch. Automatically Clean Cache. Lot Imposters Optimized. Sim/Object Shadows Classic. I also have lot view ocean reflections ticked.

If your game works like this with no flashing and crashing, awesome. Mine did not. I firstly tried several different texture memory sizes, but they had 0 impact.

I believe the next step is only for NVIDIA cards, but may be wrong.

Step Seven: DXVK. The most recent version from, here. There are plenty of instructions on how to install out there. But make sure you install the 32bit version. I have these two following lines in my DXVK.conf file (and do make sure it is saved as a conf file, NOT a txt or similar).

d3d9.maxAvailableMemory=2048

d3d9.presentInterval=0

The first line corresponds to the texture memory mentioned earlier. DXVK installs won't recognise more than that and having it higher can cause crashes apparently. The second line... No idea what it does but it was mentioned in several guides and reddit posts.

I don't know if the newer versions of DXVK allow fullscreen mode as the older ones did not, but I play in borderless mode anyway which works.

I also delete my thumbnails folder every so often.

I hope this helps someone, this silly old game can be cantankerous but I was determined to get it running again!

Hey Lamare, thanks for all your mods! Been playing with your 50 new LTWs and they're fantastic, I'm currently trying out the win 30 dance contests one. I'm having terrible trouble getting the sim to level 10 in the hidden dance skill, he's been stuck at level 9 for days regardless of how much dancing he does (I can check with Sim Manipulator what level hidden skill is). He knows how to slap dance, hulu dance, has already won like 10 dance contests, has max body skill. Do you know is there anything in particular that helps with the last push to get to level 10? I've tried using both options on the ballet barre also but no change

Hi and thank you :) While researching your question, I found out that sims can't max out hidden dance skill by some dancing interactions, particularly by the usual dancing to stereos. You can do slow dance or classic dance to max out the skill, or download this fix.

Dance Skill Fix

With this fix, sims will be able to achieve level 10 of the hidden dance skill by dancing to a stereo. Without it, they can only go to level 9, and that doesn't look right.

Lifetime Want Chooser

Hi all!

To start off this simblr, here's something I've just finished.

This is an object for the Sims 2 that lets you manually choose a lifetime want for your sim, instead of cycling one by one!

I made it while working on 50 new lifetime wants and realizing what a huge pain it is to go through them in testing. If only we could just choose an LTW, I thought. Well, :)

⚠ Testing

If you feel like experimenting, here's the mod that allows to use certain objects without counters or tables. If you place them with moveobjects and/or shifting, sims will use them almost anywhere.

Doesn't require any particular pack, but may not be Base Game compatible.

Table phones - any table phone, including custom

Microwaves - any microwave

Toaster ovens - any toaster oven

Juicers - any juicer (may require Seasons)

Coffee/espresso/hot chocolate makers - with exception of Juggle Mugs interaction that is universal, this mod affects ONLY maxis objects, including two from Life Stories (requires any pack from OFB or later)

Didn't do food processors.

👎 Animations may look wonky, especially if an object is higher, lower or further than expected.

Be careful with toaster ovens 🔥😐
