"bad d&d is worse than no d&d" false. bad d&d can also be funny if it is insane
#dm ruled that a young player received the donjon card out of nowhere. this meant that his character was forever imprisoned#and was ejected from the campaign and the player would have to make a new one. no the player did not voluntarily choose this.#i flat out said that was a mean thing to do to a player. then got to watch the dm flounder for 10 minutes while he backtracked#and took it all back. nothing of value was gained or lost except our time and my sanity and flexing my occasional co-dm status#why do i stay in this trainwreck campaign? because it is funny and insane#i also play the best d&d of my life for the rest of the week so i'm impervious to getting tilted
