But just after the thought crossed his mind and Ellis had the smallest amount of anger in him, he started to berate himself. The warlock didn't deserve it, and even if he did, Ellis couldn't pretend to be mad. Not when he would dig his nails into the Nocturne if he did as much as shift in his sleep. Any anger he could manage to contain would turn into fear the second his partner had a chance to vanish again-

-He could've done it on purpose and he was ashamed of it. He couldn't have forgotten Nocture's hate for his own reflection, when he packed that mirror. Perhaps he wanted to make him look at the mess he made, all the damage he did to himself. Perhaps he wanted Nocturne to feel bad for all he did to not only him but for that hunter that gave anything to bring him back-

-Nocturne's back got just barely away from Ellis' fingers, a small move caused by his breathing, but for Ellis it was too much. He remembered when he picked up that mirror, choosing to bring it so he could keep himself looking nice. Nocturne deserved a pretty boyfriend and Ellis knew that taking care of anyone for long peroids of time would end up with him looking like a tired mess. He didn't do it to hurt him, he brought a mirror to seduce him, to keep him focused on his pretty appearance, to make sure Nocturne wouldn't want to leave again-

"It's fine, Ellis. I have plenty scars, I can imagine well enough what they look like," grumbled the warlock. He'd just woken up, at least somewhat, although he remained drowsy as the past several years of sleep deprivation caught up with him as he rested.
