“ 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐮𝐡, 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐡. 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 study in order to get where i want to be in terms of, like, my career and stuff. ” addison didn’t know the girl that had taken advantage of one of the empty chairs next to him. he’d seen her a few times, yeah — he was in the library nearly every hour of the day, so other regulars were bound to see him & interact. he’d made plenty of friends because of this, & it appeared he was about to make yet another one ! “ i think i alternate between this place and the music building pretty often, but that place is older than my grandparents’ grandparents and smells like it, too. i’d practice in here if i could. ” he gets a little flustered at her offer, mostly because he doesn’t even know her name & yet here she is, offering him free coffee. maybe that was her way of finding out more about each other ?either way, he could use a break, but in classic addison fashion, studying came first. “ oh. uh, hey, i appreciate it and all, but if i have any more coffee today, i’ll probably officially become addicted. thanks for the offer, though ! ” 

she listens to him talk about him routine while giving his books a quick glance, she has never seen anyone this dedicated to their work in university. this was a first. “i just study business,” the brunette gives him a shrug trying to contain her laughter she wasn’t even a rank below him thinking about it she couldn't even be in the same rank ladder as him. her smile turning into a frown as he rejects her offer, “oh come on you wouldn’t want to have coffee with me?” she teases him, “a cheerleader?” the sarcasm and sass oozing from her voice followed by a chuckle. she  finally sits up tidying up his books on the table not even asking him for permission, “you’re gonna get worn out of studying sooner or later,” she insists in a worried tone, “please just come, i promise i’ll make it your worth.”

 ella fixed her cheer bag on her shoulder walking into dinning hall her eyes scanning the room for a spot to sit, the only spot open to sit was next to justice. the brunette huffed slowly walking to the table, remembering the last time they interacted she was practically on top of him intoxicated with her tongue down his throat. it wasn't something she regretted but in her gut she knew justice probably hated her now therefore avoiding him was the best option. she ran a hand through her hair finally reaching the table, her heart racing more than it should be, “what’s on the menu today?” she asked giving him a small smile avoiding eye contact as she sat down, “i’m starving.”

niko doesn’t remember much from the party – only that it was hosted by some sophomores and the crowd was mostly strangers. though he does have a vague memory of doing shots with someone.. and it isn’t until he hobbles down to his kitchen, blanket draped over his shoulders, that he recalls bumping into ella and letting her crash at his place. “hey, how long have you been up?” he asks, immediately reaching for a glass of water and chugging it before looking over at ella. “is your head killing you too or is it just me?”

 going to a party wasn’t on ella’s agenda but somehow she had ended up at one drinking past her limit, all she could remember was in middle of the crowd she drew niko’s face out and had asked him to stay at his, scrolling through her instagram feed she was trying to distract herself from her pounding head when she heard the male’s voice, immediately looking up she chuckled at the sight of niko, “i don’t even know, i just know i woke up throwing everything back up. it seems like you had a rough night.” the burentte set her phone down on the counter watching niko chug a glass of water, “it’s both of us. i don’t know what the fuck we did last night to deserve this,” ella groaned rubbing her temple, “but hey i found us in the background of some random girl’s instagram picture,” she exclaimed shaking her head with a grin taking a sip of her own water.

the blonde gives the other a bright smile rolling her eyes slightly at her words, “ stop it , you were never an underdog , “ she quickly reassures the other. she feels a particular softness towards ella, a desire to help her and show her the ropes of west bridge. she tried not to think too much about where exactly that need stemmed from because then she’d have to think about manon and her’s relationship. jo purses her lips forward contemplating the offer for a moment. she had planned to go straight home to her bed but the idea of a sweet smoothie already had her stomach grumbling. “ i could eat … or drink i guess , “ she shrugs with a short nod of her head in her direction, “ plus i could also go for a new friendship bracelet , “ the side of lips turned up in a smirk as she followed her words with a chuckle. “ the smoothie place isn’t too far , you mind walking ? “ she raises an eyebrow at her pulling her bag further up her shoulder. 

 she didn’t know why but jo’s validation somehow made her feel better, “maybe you’re right, after all i am on the cheer team, currently talking to the next captain,” ella winked at the blonde with a chuckle. knowing they had to pick a new captain majority of team already had jo in their mind taking manon’s spot. hearing jo accept her offer made ella want to jump around in circles but she decided celebrating that matter later. instead a sweet smile covered her face, adjusting her bag on her shoulder she nodded, “nope not at all.” pushing the gym doors open ella walked out holding the door open for jo behind her, “new friendship bracelet hm?” she asked almost with a sympathetic tone in her voice, “i wanted to tell you that i’m sorry for you loss but i haven’t gotten the chance yet,” the brunette frowned gently patting the blonde’s back as they began walking, “you must miss her a lot, i could only imagine,” ella mentally cussed herself for even bringing it up but she knew it was a subject to be talked about.
