BSD Hogwarts AU Michizo Tachihara

The tall witch at the front looked at her list and called out the next name, “Michizo Tachihara!” The auburn haired boy stepped forward and sat on the stool, a little bit of a smirk on his face. The hat was placed on his head.

It was only a few seconds, and the hat did not say anything until it shouted, “Slytherin!”

House: Slytherin

Close Friends: Tachihara is pretty popular with other Slytherins, a lot of that being due to his position and skill shown on the house Quidditch team. He is close with his roommates. He befriends Gin in his second year, her first year. The are kind of frenemies, they like each other fine, but they are also rivals. They often duel each other in Dueling Club, and are particularly competitive when playing each other in Quidditch. They also will occasionally have time when they are quietly hanging out on the grounds or in the courtyard.

BSD Hogwarts AU Ryuro Hirotsu

Hirotsu is an older man when the program begins, so he does not attend Hogwarts. However, he is one of the people in Japan who are in charge of finding these special ability witches and wizards.

While he was never a student at Hogwarts, he would have been in Ravenclaw.

Hogwarts AU Katai Tayama

“Katai Tayama!” Professor McGonagall called out to the crowd of first years. Th boy that stepped forward was wrapped in a futon. People stared, but no one said anything. He sat on the stool and the sorting hat was placed on his head.

“Ah, I see... hmmm...” The sorting hat spoke, “Well then, Ravenclaw!”

House: Ravenclaw

Ability: Can control electric muggle devices without touching them just by looking at them

Best Class: Muggle Studies

Boggart: Being out in public surrounded by a lot of people

Close Friends: He is really a loner, so he doesn’t have a lot of friends. He has Kunikida who is a friend, but he mostly stays by himself because that is how he likes it.

BSD Hogwarts AU Kouyou Ozaki

“Kouyou Ozaki!’ Professor McGonagall called out. The red-haired girl made her way to the front, and onto the stool. The hat was placed on her head.

“Ah, I see. Hmmm... well I think... Slytherin!”

Ability: She can control a phantom that appears when summoned, similar to that of Kyouka Izumi

Close Friends: Kouyou made some friends, mostly from her house, while at Hogwarts. She was close to Ravenclaw student, Yosano, who was a year younger than her. She also eventually became a sort of mentor to Chuuya Nakahara of Gryffindor.  When she graduated, she began working on finding others like her, with abilities. She found orphan Kyouka Izumi, and took her under her wing. She writes to Kyouka often while she is at Hogwarts and worries about her safety.

She is motherly to the young ability users that she helps, especially Kyouka

BSD Hogwarts AU Kajii Motojirou

“Kajii Motojirou!” Professor McGonagall called out. The boy wearing the weird sunglasses inside received weird stares from the other students as he raced up to the front to sit on the stool. He was very excited, and could only wonder how the hat worked, and where it would place him.

“Alright then,” the hat spoke, “Very uh... interesting... hmmm... could be Slytherin, but also... very well then, Ravenclaw!”

Wand Core: Dragon Heartstring

Ability: He experiments a lot, and no matter what, he is never harmed by any of the explosions that result from said experiments, which often involve some strange exploding lemons.

Best Class: Potions (although Snape does not like him, he explodes things often)

Happiest Memory: The first time he was free to do his experiments

Close Friends: Kajii does not have many friends in his house. Most of them dislike him because, while he is intelligent and curious, his experiments cause damage, not only ruining his classmates’ things, but also losing Ravenclaw a record-setting amount of house points. Most of his friends are from other houses, mostly Slytherins (mostly other Port Mafia Members).

Other Imagines:

Kajii spent his first two years at Hogwarts doing countless experiments.

He is very good in his classes, except when he performs experiments, and they often result in explosions.

Experiments outside class often get him into trouble, and he is in detention most evenings.

Most of his fellow Ravenclaws dislike him because his experiments result in them losing house points, and thus they have no chance of winning the House Cup.

He exploded an entire bathroom in his third year, and that was the last straw.

He was expelled in his third year, but he still does experiments on his own, so he is still happy.

BSD Hogwarts AU Ichiyo Higuchi

“Ichiyo Higuchi!” Professor McGonagall called. The blond girl looked around as she stepped forward. She sat on the bench as the hat was placed on her head.

“Ah... I see...” It spoke, “Strong, cool-headed, somewhat ambitious... ah... can be cunning... You have potential... You will do best in... Slytherin!”

Wand Core: Unicorn hair

Ability: No one really knows, she keeps it to herself and only the professors know for sure. She is incredibly skilled at offensive spells, so other students guess her ability may have something to do with that.

Best Class: Defense Against the Dark Arts

Quidditch: Plays as a chaser on her house team

Boggart: Akutagawa telling her she is useless

Patronous: Fox

Happiest Memory: When she finally got Akutagawa to dance with her at the Yule Ball.

Close Friends: Higuchi is not the most popular with the rest of the Slytherins, but she does make friends, especially with her roommates. In her house she does become friends with Tachihara, although they are not the closest of friends. During her second year, she meets first year student, Ryunosuke Akutagawa. She develops a crush on him, and tries to get close to him, but he often rejects her. Even so, he does care for her a little, but she loves him and would do anything for him. Sometimes it may be to the point where it is creepy on her part and unhealthy. In her fourth year, she becomes friends with Gin Akutagawa, not knowing at first she is Ryunosuke’s sister.

Yule Ball Date: Akutagawa, although they only dance to one song together, but she is overjoyed by it.

She is a skilled dueler, although sometimes she is not as quick with her spellcasting which sometimes causes her to lose

She lives at home with her family, and enjoys going home to show her parents and younger sister all she has learned

Her favorite thing about the Slytherin Common Room is where she can watch the merpeople and other creatures in the Black Lake through her window. She could watch them for hours

Some people do comment that she should stay away from Akutagawa, but she does not listen

She is very happy when she finds out that Gin is Akutagawa’s younger sister

She asks Akutagawa to the Yule Ball. At first he says no, but after some convincing from Gin, he says yes.

While she wanted to dance more, she was happy just to be with him at the ball

Gin pushes Akutagawa to dance with Higuchi at the ball, even though it is only for one song

Higuchi becomes a prefect in her fifth year

BSD Hogwarts AU Ryunosuke Akutagawa

“Ryunosuke Akutagawa!” Professor McGonagall called out. From the group of students, the pale sickly looking boy stepped forward, all the other students quickly moving out of his way. He was one of the first ones on the list. While he had not spoken to anyone, he was quiet and looked rather intimidating. There were a few whispers saying, “That one is definitely a Slytherin...” He ignored them, not even knowing what Slytherin was other than it was one of the houses he could be placed into. He sat on the stool, and the tall witch placed the hat on his head.

“Well well well...” The sorting hat spoke, “You are a difficult one... then let’s see...” The hat was thinking, “Slytherin seems like the obvious choice, but also not...” It paused again, “I see honesty, never one to break a promise... not particularly cunning... only ambitious when it comes to impressing a... certain someone...hmmm...” 

Akutagawa looked into the crowd, i he noticed one student mouth what looked to be, “Hatstall,” whatever that meant.

The hat continued, “Loyalty... yes... hard worker... but there is that ambition and resourcefulness... although that may not be the best for you... Hmmm... well then, I suppose the place for you is... Hufflepuff!”

Nearly everyone in the room’s mouth opened in shock, but Akutagawa made his way over to the Hufflepuff table, having no idea what it meant.

(So, I’m going to explain this real quick. I am really trying to think about how Aku would be without his time in the Port Mafia and with Dazai. He has a lot of Slytherin traits, and a lot of that is because of his past, but I do believe that at his core he is a Hufflepuff.)

Wand Core: Dragon heartstring

Ability: Any clothing that he wears he can manipulate into a beast, often taking the form of a dragon. It can cut through anything, including space and can be used both offensively and defensively. Staff needs to keep a close eye on him.

Boggart: Dazai telling him he will never be enough

Patronous: Dragon

Happiest Memory: The first time Dazai told him he did well

Close Friends: Akuatagawa is very much a loner, and he has very few friends. Being in Hufflepuff, his housemates are kind to him, for the most part. They are not sure if he should be in their house, but they still try to treat him nicely. He has his sister who comes to Hogwarts a few years later, and he becomes friends with some of her friends, like Junichirou Tanizaki. Chuuya Nakahara tries to be a friend and mentor to him at times. In his first year, he meets a third year, Dazai, who becomes a mentor to him, and Akutagawa greatly admires and idolizes him, wanting his praise more than anything in the world. He grows less close to Dazai when he also begins to mentor Atsushi two years later. He hates the other boy at first, but eventually, thanks to Dazai’s pushing, they become friends and are able to work together. Dazai hopes that he can eventually get them to a place where they become more than friends, but who knows what will happen? Akutagawa and Atsushi become close, and have a mutual respect for one another. He does have a friendship with Higuchi, but it is mostly one-sided on her part because of her crush on him.

Yule Ball Date: Higuchi, but he spends a lot of the time with Dazai and eventually dances with Atsushi, after Dazai’s insistent pushing

Akutagawa does learn more about the houses later on, and he wishes he had chosen Slytherin. He often tries to hide his Hufflepuff badge by wearing a long black coat over his robes, which he gets told to take off by professors. He tries to pretend he is a Slytherin.

Because of this, he almost never goes to the beginning of the year feast, but he did go during Gin’s first year so he could see her get sorted and to be there to support her.

He struggles, and it takes him a very long time to learn how to conjure a patronous

Akutagawa can see thestrals, and he will spend some of his free time with them, he finds them calming

Thestrals are how he meets Kyouka, since they can both see them, and they spend time with them. They never really become anything more than acquaintances though

He is not sure about his career path, but one professor suggested that he could be a dragonologist, or another option would be in the Ministry’s Department of Mysteries.

He meets Dazai over by the Whomping Willow in his first year, Dazai was hoping the tree would kill him, and Akutagawa found it was a place where other students would leave him alone. Dazai was impressed by how he used Rashomon to block one of the trees’ branches from hitting him, and Dazai decided he would become a mentor to him

Most other students are afraid of him so he does not get bullied, but most of the other Hufflepuffs still try to be nice to him

Hogwarts AU Chuuya Nakahara

Chuuya was waiting with the other first years for his name to be called. He had already seen that weird boy he met on the train, Dazai, get sorted into Slytherin, so he only hoped that he would not end up in the same house as that guy. “What a weirdo,” he thought to himself.

Suddenly, he was taken from his thoughts by the tall witch calling his name, “Chuuya Nakahara!” He stepped forward and sat on the bench, the hat then placed on his head.

“A natural leader I see... ambitious, yes... then perhaps Slytherin... hmmm...”

Chuuya looked over at the boy making faces at him from the Slytherin table, “No no no!” He thought.

Evidently, the hat heard his thoughts, “No? Ah, well... I can see why in your head... what else?” It paused and then exclaimed, “Ah-ha! Strength and bravery, yes... then it is... Gryffindor!”

Wand Core: Dragon heartstring

Ability: Chuuya has the power to control the gravity of whatever he touches, and when out of control, he can create black holes and even fly without a broom. Professors try to teach him to control it, but the only thing that would get him to return back to normal is Dazai touching him.

Best Class: Flying

Quidditch: Is a gifted flyer on a broom, and he plays on his house team as a seeker. He originally wanted to play as a beater or keeper, but Madame Hooch forbade that because he could easily use his ability to cheat in those positions.

Boggart: Dazai walking away from him forever

Patronous: A lioness

Happiest Memory: The day he got his hat (that’s why he wears it all the time)

Close Friends: Chuuya is actually pretty popular with a lot of his classmates, a lot of that due to his playing on the Quidditch team. He also becomes popular with the younger students he mentors once he becomes a prefect. He met Dazai on the Hogwarts Express in his first year, and immediately saw him as a source of annoyance. While they do not like each other (at least they claim not to), they do grow close, and perhaps develop feelings, although both will deny it. He becomes friends with Kunikida mostly because of Dazai, and they are a kind of support to one another. He becomes a mentor to Atsushi in his first year as a prefect, and tries to do the same with Akutagawa, but does not have as much success with him.

BSD Hogwarts AU Yukichi Fukuzawa

Fukuzawa does not attend Hogwarts, but he is one of the people in charge in Japan of finding children with these special abilities and getting the set up to go to Hogwarts. He also owns a dormitory where the students without families can stay over the summer.

Although he was never a student, he would be a Gryffindor.

Ability: No one seems to know how he does it, but he seems to have an effect on other ability users, when they have worked with him, they suddenly gain much better control of their powers.

BSD Hogwarts AU Kyouka Izumi

“Kyouka Izumi” The tall witch announced. The dark haired girl looked around, not really nervous, but just taking in her surroundings before stepping forward. She sat on the stool. Professor McGonagall place the hat on top of her head.

“Hmmm... interesting...” Kyouka kept a neutral expression on her face as the hat spoke, “I see curiosity... love of small things... determination to prove yourself... where to put you...? hmmm...” The hat mused, “There’s also bravery... you will do anything to save those you care about...alright then... Gryffindor!”

Wand Core: Phoenix feather

Ability: Kyouka has Demon Snow, believed to be some sort of ghost or apparition. She stays by Kyouka’s side and will fight and protect her when in danger. She has almost no control of it at first, but eventually learns.

Best Class: Defense Against the Dark Arts

Quidditch: N/A (she was invited to try out for the house team as a chaser, but she did not want to)

Boggart: Herself as a killer

Patronous: Rabbit

Happiest Memory: Her first trip to Hogsmede with Atsushi

Close Friends: Kyouka is in the same year as Kenji. They are friends, but she does not have many. She is quiet and a little shy, so most of the other students don’t really pay her much attention. She was lonely, even though she did not show it. In her first year, she met an older fellow Gryffindor, Atsushi Nakajima. Atsushi had gotten significant guidance in his earlier years at Hogwarts from Kunikida, Chuuya, and Dazai. He decided when he first saw Kyouka all by herself in the common room one day, that he was going to try and to the same for her. He becomes an older brother figure to her, and while she is still quiet and shy, she smiles a lot more after becoming friends with him. He motivates her to do her best, and she grows to be a true brave Gryffindor having him as an inspiration.

“Kenji Miyazawa!” Professor McGonagall called out. The blond boy stepped up, a smile on his face. He sat on the stool as the hat was placed on his head.

“Right then! Right! Hufflepuff!”

Ability: He has natural super strength without the use of a spell or potion.

Best Class: Between Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures

Quidditch: He plays on his house team starting in his second year. He starts as a beater, but later becomes the keeper.

Happiest Memory: Playing in the fields at his home with the cows as a child

Close Friends: Kenji is fairly popular with some of the other students because he is so friendly. He befriends the groundskeeper and Care of Magical Creatures Professor Hagrid. Kenji does become friends with Kyouka, who is in his year. He is also friends with a few of the older students, Tanizaki and Atsushi.

BSD Hogwarts AU Akiko Yosano

“Akiko Yosano!” Professor McGonagall called out. The young girl was one of the last remaining in the group of first years to be sorted. She sat herself on the bench, and the hat was placed on her head.

“Hmmmm... I can see... perhaps Slytherin.... no... better be, Ravenclaw!”

Ability: She is a skilled healer, even without a wand or potions, but only if the person is close to death.

Best Class: Potions

Boggart: Ougai Mori

Happiest Memory: Becoming Head Girl

Close Friends: Yosano is close friends with Ranpo and Kunikida. She sometimes seems to have a close friendship with Dazai, although they do not see each other that much. She is a little intimidating to younger students, but those that get to know her, they see that she can be scary, but that she is truly a very smart and good person.

“Edogawa Ranpo!” The boy quickly got up onto the stool. He wanted to get this over with quickly, not because he was nervous, but that he was looking forward to the feast that would come after the Sorting Ceremony. He was also pretty confident he knew where he was going to be placed.

“Ah ha! An easy one! Ravenclaw!”

Ability: No one is really sure of what his ability is. At first it was believed he had talent in divination, and he does well in that class, but he is mostly faking it, although no one can tell.

“Junichiro Tanizaki!” The red-haired boy stepped from the remaining group of students, after having already seen his three friends from the Hogwarts Express be sorted. He sat on the stool and that hat was placed on his head.

“Ah! I see...” it said, “Willing to do anything to protect people, whatever the means...” The hat was thinking, “Slytherin but... people that are family and that you care about... well then you’ll go to... Hufflepuff!”

They are all in the same year, and they stay friends throughout their time at Hogwarts and afterwards.
