What the crown season 4 made me realize:

- the Queen really just straight up realized that all of her children are fucked up and unfit to rule without realizing it's mainly her and Philip's fault so she decided to try to outlive all of them. Or at least Charles.

- if it was me married to Diana, I would thank my lucky stars every day. And if she danced for me in front of a fucking crowd as my birthday present...we would be on our way to Paris only not to leave the hotel room as soon as the gala's over.

Never Fade Away

The vague cloak of morning mist hung outside the window, the sky - a darker shade of blue, kissed by the pink promise of a new rising sun.

Drowsy from the lingering embrace of a fading dream, you clung to one another as if the lucidity of the day will tear you apart. Henry’s arm wrapped around your back whilst your bare breasts and belly pressed to his furry torso. His skin burned, coals-hot, making you succumb to the soothing sensation in a lazy tidal sway.

“I love waking up with you on top of me,” he murmured, voice heavy with sleep.

Growing up as a black little girl, I envisioned my life the way these 4 white women navigated new york city with style, grace, class, sex appeal, intelligence, independence, and fun. I wanted to be those women in my 30s, hell i want to be them now as a 25 year old. This show has taught me a lot of things like expressing your sexuality freely and openly. How romance isn’t dead, you just have to change your standards a bit but, you will find your prince charming in upper manhattan who is a successful lawyer. You don’t need to have children or marriage to be fulfilled as a woman. Your friends are your soulmates. Being career driven isn’t a bad thing. We all have goals and dreams to attain. These women changed my perspective on femininity and womanhood. I couldn’t wait to dress up and go out to brunch with the girls or go on a boat. Dating affluent men or just dating in general was something to look forward to. Especially the hot steamy romances. Hobbies were something I started getting serious about now. Lastly, being invited to parties and clubs where you have your own section while looking hot! By examining the characters, Carrie’s messy “relationship'' with Big was a lesson that I’ve experienced. However, I know my self-worth and I will not tolerate that kind of behavior from any man. Charlotte’s apartment from her ex husband was a dream to have. She fought hard to get what was rightfully hers. I couldn’t wait to get my own, eventually. Samantha’s confidence and feminine expression is something to imitate. Miranda’s feminist attitude challenge the patriarchy and held important beliefs that seem radical but, it made sense.  Those women had the life I wanted to strive for like being independent, educated, glamorous, and feminine. Being realistic, New York City isn’t my favorite place and it's really expensive. Currently, I’m living at home with my parents to save up money. So there needs to be some adjustments to my dream but, it is going to happen. I’ve seen every episode over 50 times and I am still in awe of their world. Everytime I watch it, I'm manifesting in creating a life like that for myself. 💕✨
