Shungite Benefits
New Post has been published on https://emfprotector.org/shungite-benefits-non-crystalline-rock/
Shungite Benefits
Shungite has amazing properties that have helped people for decades. Shungite has anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial properties and water purifying abilities. It also protects against electromagnetic waves, and it can be used in meditation to improve concentration, stress and anxiety. But what exactly is Shungite?
What is Shungite?
Shungite is a specific type of black rock known to contain non-crystal carbon, which is considered to be one of the oldest forms of carbon known to man. The non-crystal carbon was discovered in a village known as Shunga in the Karelian shore of Lake Onega in the North West of Russia.
Shungite rocks contain trace amounts of fullerenes, which are molecules that contain carbon atoms. Fullerene was the third type of carbon to be discovered after diamond and graphite allotropic.
The carbon content for Shungite stone is 30-50% for regular Shungite and 90 to 98% for elite Shungite.
The benefits of Shungite
Shungite has remarkable benefits, which include:
EMF protection
The fullerenes in Shungite are used to neutralize EMF radiation, and it is often used to make EMF protection jewellery. Therefore, wearing Shungite jewellery in the form of a pendant, bracelet or earrings, can help protect you from the harmful electromagnetic radiation that is emitted by electrical devices and appliances within your home.
Using Shungite jewellery can help protect you from the harmful emissions of microwaves, smart televisions, cell phones, smart meters, and even from outside radiation from power lines and cell phone masts.
Shungite pyramids and spheres are also popular for their ability to shield against EMF pollution and are well placed next to wi-fi routers, televisions, computers and other EMF hotspots in your house.
With that said, Shungite stone has the ability to get rid of the negative frequency found in electromagnetic fields, thus preventing it from getting into your body’s soft tissues. In addition, Shungite can also store an electric current, but it does not create magnetic fields.

Water purification
Shungite stones have filtering properties, and they are often used to purify water. The filtering properties are as a result of the carbon molecules found in Shungite.
Shungite stone is able to absorb 95% of pollutants such as nitrates, lead, bacteria and the different types of organic compounds and harmful chemicals found in water.
Water purified with Shungite has been reported to contain minerals, nutrients and therapeutic properties. Therefore, the water can help to not only adjust and strengthen your DNA but also activate cellular regeneration, improve circulation of blood, as well as the functioning of your digestive system.
Water purified with Shungite is also said to be able to cure or at least help with diabetes, colds and flu, allergies, among other conditions.
When choosing a Shungite stone that you want to use for water purification, it is important that you consider the carbon content. The carbon content can be 30-65% for a regular Shungite stone and 90-98% for the elite stone as mentioned above, which is also considered to be the best for purifying water.
Healing Properties
Shungite is also referred to as a miracle mineral due to its ability to heal, clean, protect, revitalize, and regenerate. Shungite stone contains anti-inflammatory, anti-histaminic, anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant properties that can improve your immunity. It helps to rejuvenate cells and it enhances the repair of DNA and cell repair.
Shungite has the ability to get rid of harmful bacteria in your body. In addition, it has been reported to relieve high blood pressure, headaches, backaches, nerve pain, stomach pain, and skin spots.
Shungite stone is also believed to help improve sexual libido, the quality of a person’s sleep and also their metabolism. The stone also benefits the kidneys, liver, gastrointestinal tract, and it suppresses diseases associated with allergies.

EMF Dangers and Side Effects You Need To Know About
New Post has been published on https://emfprotector.org/emf-dangers-and-side-effects-you-need-to-know-about/
EMF Dangers and Side Effects You Need To Know About
Exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMFs) has potential dangers, and likely, your house has several electrical devices and electronic gadgets, which are emitting the invisible and dangerous EMF radiation.
For most of us, we need to interact with devices that are powered by electricity or be within the vicinity of electromagnetic fields throughout the day. Devices such as computers, televisions, electric coffee makers, microwaves, smartphones, water heaters and even fluorescent lighting are just some of the electrical appliances many of us use on a daily basis, yet they expose us to various electromagnetic radiation dangers.
This article will cover the dangers associated with exposure to electromagnetic fields, and what levels of EMF radiation are considered to be safe. Please keep reading.
EMF Health Effects: What You Need To Know
It is now recognised that there are a number of health issues, which are associated with exposure to electromagnetic fields. If you have any of these EMF radiation symptoms then it may be either caused by or exacerbated by electromagnetic radiation that you are being exposed to in your home or at work.
Cell Phone Tower Radiation
Cell phone towers are known to emit microwaves or high-frequency radio waves, which can be transmitted as far as 45 miles depending on the terrain. So, this means that risk tends to increase with proximity. Other sources of cell tower exposures are radio masts, mobile towers and cell towers and the microwaves they emit.
There are various side effects associated with microwaves emitted by cell phone towers, which include; headaches, cardiovascular stress, cancer, birth defects, cognitive impairment, infertility in men, among others.
See also: More tips to protect yourself from EMF radiation
Cell phone radiation
When your phone is turned on, it tends to produce harmful electromagnetic radiation or EMFs. Placing your phone th your ear while making a call can expose you to anything between 10% to 80% radiation, depending on the type of phone you use and the strength of the signal.
The radiation can affect your brain, and the effects are often worse in children. In addition, holding a cell phone close to the head has also been shown to cause brain wave changes.
Other side effects of cell phone radiation include sleep disturbances, reduced melatonin, eye problems, fatigue, cardiovascular stress, headaches, memory loss, cardiovascular problems, and genetic damage, among others.
Unfortunately, using a wired or Bluetooth headset does not solve the problem and will still direct the electromagnetic radiation into your head. However, using a radiation-free headset that delivers sound into your ear via an air tube will eliminate the radiation from being funnelled directly into your ear.
Another alternative is to use the loudspeaker on your mobile phone so the device will not be right up against your ear.
Computers and Laptops
Computers and monitors are a health hazard because of the EMFs they emit. In fact, using your computer or laptop at close proximity is known to increase your exposure to harmful electromagnetic fields.
Placing your laptop on your lap can expose you to 20 mG, the majority of which will be going directly into the groin and abdominal area. The side effects include fertility issues, fatigue, cancer and immune suppression, just to mention, but a few.
Wi-Fi Router
Wi-Fi is convenient but it also comes at a price. This is because wireless routers, Bluetooth and other wireless systems tend to emit electromagnetic radiation. They emit a low-gigahertz frequency, which is considered to be highly dangerous.
may Your neighbour’s router also be exposing you to EMFs if their router is within close proximity to your house. The fact that most people never switch off your Wi-Fi makes it worse. The side effects of Wi-Fi EMFs include headaches, tumours, inability to sleep and irritability among others.
EMFs from Motor Vehicles
Trains, cars and motorcycles all produce electromagnetic radiation as a result of the different electrical processes. In fact, hybrid cars expose one to very high levels of electromagnetic radiation.
The suspected long-term and short-term effects of this kind of exposure to motor vehicle radiation include anxiety, mood disorders, childhood cancers, muscle pain, male and female infertility, cardiovascular stress, among others.
EMF from Air Travel
Airports are another source of radiation due to the body scanners, moving sidewalks, and metal detectors. Magnetic fields in the aircraft also expose you significantly and they often come from cockpit computers, the aeroplane’s engine, communications equipment, electrical wiring in the cabin, as well as from static electricity from the fuselage.
Side effects include jet lag, dizziness, headache, cancer, sterility, and even gene mutation.
See also: Dirty electricity and how you can protect yourself
EMFs from smart meters
The two antennas on smart meters are known to emit radio-frequency microwave radiation, which is equivalent to those produced by cell towers. The radiation emitted from a smart meter will, of course, be much lower than that of a cell tower. However, the smart meter will be at a considerably closer proximity to yourself and your family than that of a cell tower.
The health risks of smart meter EMF radiation include sleep disturbances, headaches, tinnitus, cognitive impairment, chest pain, heart palpitations, irritability, anxiety, stress, arthritis, among others.
EMFs from power lines
Power lines emit electromagnetic radiation, also known as Extremely Low Frequency (ELF), which can have adverse effects on your health.
When the EMFs scramble, they can interfere with the natural EMF of your body, which can lead to insomnia, stress, DNA damage, anxiety, brain tumors, decreased libido, Alzheimer’s disease, depression, childhood and adult leukemia, neurodegenerative diseases, birth defects, reproductive problems, and Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS), among others.
EMFs in the home
Electrical devices and appliances emit harmful electromagnetic fields. These EMFs create a toxic layer of radiation because they tend to layer upon each other.
The suspected side effects of EMF from microwaves and other appliances in the house include cataracts, increased cholesterol levels, decrease in haemoglobin, birth defects, anxiety, headaches, cancer, just to mention, but a few.
Underground Pipes and EMFs
The metal water lines in your home also expose you to electromagnetic radiation because they are conductive, which means that they create high levels of EMFs. In addition, when power lines are grounded poorly, they tend to produce ground current, which is also referred to as current flowing along underground metallic water pipes.
Risks associated with EMFs from underground pipes are said to be minor, but they include headaches, cancer, and fatigue, among others.
Safe and Dangerous Levels of EMF Radiation
EMFs are measured in Milligauss (mG). The safety level of EMF exposure often depends on frequency, but according to the Environmental Protection Agency, it is recommended that you limit your exposure to 0.5 MilliGauss to 2.5 MilliGauss.
Magnetic Fields
The safety levels of magnetic fields are 0.5mG. 1.0mG has been shown to cause cancer. In addition, increased levels of 2.0mG have been associated with increased cases of leukaemia among children.
Final Thoughts
The above are just some of the health dangers associated with EMF exposure. It is important that you protect yourself from these dangers by making use of dirty electricity filters such as Graham-Stetzer Filters and Greenwave Filters.

Dirty Electricity - What You Need To Know
New Post has been published on https://emfprotector.org/dirty-electricity-what-you-need-to-know/
Dirty Electricity - What You Need To Know

Dirty electricity is volatile and erratic surges of electricity that travels along the wiring of buildings. The normal amount of power travelling along the power lines should be between the 50/60-Hertz AC range. However, when there is spikes that exceed this normal range then dirty electricity can result.
Dirty electricity is also referred to as powerline EMI, electrical radiation, line noise or electrical noise. With the rapid evolution of technology, dirty electricity is quickly becoming one of the biggest causes of electrical pollution in peoples homes, businesses, hospitals and schools.
Sources of Direct Electricity in Your Home
Electrical pollution is often caused by electronic equipment within your home, as well as from the surrounding neighbourhood. If you have an adjoining wall to your neighbour’s house or if they are within close proximity to you then you are also at risk of exposure from their electrical devices and appliances also.
Dirty electricity is also known to come from external electrical sources such as base stations, and it can be transmitted via other conductive elements such as pipework and even water.
Devices within your home that are often responsible for dirty electricity include led light bulbs, computers, solar power inverters, plasma TVs, sound systems, DVD players, transformers, dimmer switches, battery chargers, smart meters, halogen lights, as well as compact fluorescent lighting.
Health Effects Associated With Dirty Electricity
According to research, low quality of electrical power has been shown to be a cause for various illnesses. However, dirty electricity is particularly insidious as it is an invisible toxin. Increasing incidences of illnesses in urban areas have often been linked to lifestyle. However, research is showing that a number of chronic diseases can be linked to electro-pollution.
Dirty electricity has been associated with several chronic diseases, also referred to as diseases of civilization, which include diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer.
Levels of frequency for dirty electricity have also been associated with neurological imbalances or neurological disorders in neurotransmitter levels.
The various health problems associated with dirty electricity include mood swings, autism, arrhythmia, headaches, sleep disturbances, tinnitus, extreme fatigue, just to mention, but a few.
If you want to know more about the symptoms to watch out for then see my article here on the symptoms of EMF radiation.
What You Can Do To Protect Yourself from the High Levels of Dirty Electricity
Change all fluorescent lighting
Apart from emitting a lot of dirty electricity, compact fluorescent lights also referred to as CFLs, are known to have high levels of electromagnetic fields as compared to candescent light bulbs. Therefore, it is important that you avoid using them in your home and office, which will go a long way towards minimizing your exposure to EMF pollution.
Change all dimmer switches
Another step of reducing your exposure to dirty electricity is to replace all dimmer switches because they are known to emit a lot of dirty electricity. Therefore, it is important that you use the on and off switches instead, which are a safer alternative.
Switch off your wireless router when not in use
When going to bed, for instance, it is important that you turn off your Wi-Fi, which is also known to produce EMFs. What’s more, Wi-Fi tends to emit waves through your whole house, and you may want to use a power strip to switch it off when you are not using it. Cable internet is another safe option that you can use instead of Wi-Fi.
Get rid of your smart meter
Smart meters are also a known source of dirty electricity. Therefore, you may want to read your meter using a safer alternative or opt to buy protectors that you can put inside and outside of the wall where the smart meter is installed.
It is also important to note that radiation emitted by your neighbours’ smart meters can also affect you in your home, especially the smart meters of your immediate neighbours. Therefore, you may want to request them to take precautionary measures, which will go a long way in protecting both yours and their family and the wider community.
Use an EMF meter
Another tip on how to get rid of dirty electricity in your home and office is to use an EMF meter to detect hotspots. The EMF meter is a device that you can use to get readings for electric fields, microwaves, radio waves and magnetic fields.
The EMF meter enables you to know the type and level of radiation that is being produced by devices within your home and office space. In addition, it also gives you an idea of how much ambient radiation is coming into your home from neighbouring houses, cellphone towers, transformers and any overhead cables.
If you want to buy a very affordable EMF meter then see my review of the MeterK MK08.
Unplug household devices
When not in use, it is always advisable to unplug gadgets such as battery chargers, microwaves, printers, and scanners, which help to reduce EMF radiation in your house.
You may want to consider using a power strip to turn off your scanner and printer whenever they are not in use. If possible, it is advisable that you avoid using your microwave and use alternatives such as teapots, or warmers, which are safer.

Symptoms of Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity
New Post has been published on https://emfprotector.org/symptoms-of-electromagnetic-hypersensitivity/
Symptoms of Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity
Electrosensitivity has become a health concern for many people, and it is believed that some people are more sensitive to EMF than others. However, from suffering personally, I also believe that if a person becomes run down then they may also become more sensitive to electromagnetic radiation.
However, people who have highly sensitive bodies, particularly those who suffer from allergies related to food, cold, toxins, chemicals and cigarette smoke are considered to be more EMF sensitive.
In addition, individuals who have sensitive nervous systems or those whose cells have abnormal bio-frequencies as a result of childhood exposure to heavy metals are also considered to react to EMF.
This article will tell you about the signs and symptoms related to EMF sensitivity that you need to look out for, and what you can do to reduce electrosensitivity.
What is EMF Hypersensitivity?
Electrosensitivity, also referred to as Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS), is a phenomenon where some people tend to experience symptoms associated with exposure to the electromagnetic stimulus of varying frequencies and strengths such as radio frequency (RF) microwave transmissions.
One is said to be electrosensitive if the symptoms decrease or disappear after turning off all EMF devices or sources, or when one get out or range of the electromagnetic field of electrical devices and appliances.
Signs and Symptoms of EMF Hypersensitivity
Many studies have shown that some people tend to experience symptoms as a result of electromagnetic fields and radiofrequency radiation coming from electrical devices such as Wi-Fi networks, computers, fluorescent lighting, household appliances, cordless phones, electric blankets, smart meters, mobile phones, cell phone masts, power lines and household wiring, radio masts, and television masts.
The symptoms of hypersensitivity include:
Cancer
Cancer is also considered to be a symptom of electrosensitivity and electromagnetic exposure. For instance, childhood leukaemia has been linked to overexposure to power-lines, a discovery that was made in 1979.
Leukaemia that develops during adulthood, as well as lymphoma, has also been linked to electromagnetic exposure. Other cancers that are believed to occur as a result of electromagnetic sensitivity include prostate cancer, melanoma, breast cancer, and testicular cancer. In addition, energy from cell phones has also been associated with brain tumours.
Tiredness
Abnormal tiredness is one of the symptoms of electromagnetic sensitivity. In addition, if you’re affected, you’re likely to suffer from excessive tiredness that never seems to go away or feeling weak, dizzy or faint even after having had a good night’s sleep.
Insomnia
Inability to sleep could be due to the high electrical fields that often come from electrical wiring near your bed or from other electrical devices such as cell phones, laptop, tablets, as well as from a Wi-Fi network.
The EMF radiation coming from these devices, particularly in your bedroom, can prevent you from having a good night’s sleep because you are likely to wake up constantly or feel restless the entire night if you are hypersensitive.
Neurological problems
Neurological problems such as motor neuron disease, Tourette’s syndrome, and Parkinson’s disease are believed to occur due to electromagnetic exposure.
Alzheimer’s disease and dementia
Exposure to power-lines is also believed to contribute to symptoms associated with Alzheimer’s such as memory loss, and cognitive impairment. So, affected individuals are likely to have trouble recalling names or difficulty concentrating.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism
People who are sensitive to electromagnetic radiation may also show signs of ADHD. Furthermore, people who suffer from ADHD and autism are likely to be more sensitive to electromagnetic fields due to an inhibited cellular and metabolic processes. Here is an interesting video on the link between EMF radiation and ADHD.
Ear problems
Studies show that there is a significant relationship between tinnitus and electrosensitivity. In addition, people who use their cell phones constantly have also been said to suffer from tinnitus as a result of the energy emitted by cell phones.
Earaches are also said to be triggered by EMF sensitivity.
Cardiovascular Problems
Heart palpitations and chest pain are also common in electrosensitive individuals. There is also speculation that electrosensitive people are may be more likely to suffer from other cardiovascular problems such as heart attacks and stroke.
Dermatological problems
Electrosensitive people often (but not always) tend to get skin reactions such as redness, rash, tingling, and burning sensations. These skin problems are common on the upper arms and on the face. However, a rash form EMF radiation can occur anywhere on the body.
Some electrosensitive people have reported redness on the face after having worked with a visual display unit, or electric devices.
Emotional problems
Since as early as 1979, electromagnetic exposure has also been associated with high levels of suicide, stress, depression and anxiety. Therefore, electrosensitive individuals are likely to suffer from emotional imbalances such as irritability, mood changes, anger, excessive worry and tearfulness, among others.
Headaches
Headaches and migraines are also electrosensitivity symptoms, which are often associated with overexposure to electromagnetic fields.
Miscarriages
Exposure to electromagnetic fields has also been linked to miscarriages more so among electrosensitive mothers.
Infertility
There are high cases of infertility among electrosensitive individuals, particularly men. In particular, a person working as a chef in a restaurant that uses electric ovens may be particularly at risk as they need to stand in front of the oven for several hours at a time. these ovens are usually groin height, which may be blasting out radiation directly onto the genital area.
Restless leg syndrome
Restless or jumpy legs often occurs when a person is trying to sleep at night or relaxing. It is thought that restless leg syndrome may also be a symptom of electromagnetic hypersensitivity.
Tips on How to Reduce Symptoms of Hypersensitivity
If you are sensitive to electromagnetic fields, it is important that you get rid of or at least minimize the sources of EMF’s in your work and living environments. Here are some precautions you can take;
Stop using wireless devices such as Wi-Fi and cordless phones. You can opt to use cable internet, which is safer
Unplug electrical devices when you’re not using them
Switch off electrical circuits responsible for the high electric fields, particularly in your bedroom
Use EMF meters to measure EMFs in your house or office environment, and get rid of anything that is producing dirty electricity
Turn off your mobile phone at night and keep it in a different room other than your bedroom as studies have shown that mobile phones can still produce an electromagnetic field even when they’re switched off
Keep your mobile phone on flight mode during the day when you are not using it
Replace CFL bulbs with incandescent bulbs
Use EMF protection devices such as mobile phone protection cases, router guards protection pyramids and EMF protection crystals
For more ways to protect yourself, see my article here.
Final Thoughts
If you are sensitive to electromagnetic fields, it is important that you use electromagnetic shields and filters to get rid of electromagnetic pollution in your home and office environment.
Unfortunately, for most of us, electromagnetic radiation is all around us. Being aware of the items in your environment that are emitting an unhealthy level of EMF’s is the first step in protecting yourself. A few simple changes to your lifestyle can go a long way in reducing your exposure. To ensure you are doing everything possible to protect yourself and your family you may also want to invest in various EMF protection devices for your home and work environment.

What Is EMF Radiation and How Can You Protect Yourself
New Post has been published on https://emfprotector.org/what-is-emf-radiation-how-protect-yourself/
What Is EMF Radiation and How Can You Protect Yourself
The world has certainly changed drastically over the last 50 years, and the use of electricity has been a bit part of that change. Most of us seem to have embraced the use of the internet, mobile phones, cinema and television and even driving cars powered by electricity. All this technology has meant the human race has been able to evolve at a faster pace and it has also made the world seem like a smaller place too.
However, the increasing use of technology and devices powered by electricity means that we are increasingly exposed to electromagnetic fields (EMF’s) emanating from the devices we use.
While some people seem to be somewhat more resilient to low-level exposure to EMF’s, studies are showing that prolonged and over-exposure is not good for our health. Depending on the level of exposure, scientists are now investigating the consequences of EMF’s on our mood, sleep cycles, cognitive functioning and even on our internal organs. There are even reports that exposure to EMF’s can result in alterations in our DNA.
If you’re concerned about your health and the health of your family and want to understand more about the effects EMF’s could be having on your body, how you’re being exposed and what you can do to reduce the effects of EMF radiation, then please read on.
What is EMF radiation?
The electromagnetic field, also known as EMF or EM field refers to invisible areas of energy that emanate form and surround an electrical source and emit a level of radiation. These areas of energy are often linked to the use of electrical power, as well as different types of man-made and natural lighting. In other words, EMF radiation is the energy that is produced by electromagnetic fields.
Electromagnetic fields include static magnetic fields such as medical imaging, intermediate fields such as anti-theft devices, VDU, induction and induction hobs, as well as ELF fields such as household appliances and high voltage overhead power cables.
In addition, there is also radio frequency (RF) radiation, which includes mobile phones, anti-theft devices, WLAN, as well as telecommunications antennae.
Effects of Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs)
As an analogy, electromagnetic radiation can be looked at in the context of bad sugars and good sugars, or bad fats and good fats. In other words, there are EMFs that are considered to be safe and those that are considered to be harmful. With that said, electromagnetic radiation can be categorized as either ionizing or non-ionizing radiation.
Types of Electromagnetic Radiation
Non-ionizing radiation
The frequency of non-ionizing radiation, which is low to medium, is considered to be less harmful as it gives off a lower frequency of electromagnetic radiation. However, overexposure to this type of radiation can have harmful effects on your health.
Non-ionizing radiation comes from electrical gadgets that we use on a daily basis such as phones, microwave, Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi, computers, smart meters and MRIs, to name but a few.
Ionizing radiation
On the other hand, ionizing radiation, which has medium to high frequency, is considered to be harmful and it has been shown to cause leukaemia, DNA damage, infertility, headaches, hypersensitivity, sleep disturbances, stress, fatigue and foggy thinking, just to mention a few.
Ionizing radiation often comes from x-rays, ultraviolet rays, or gamma rays.
Tips on How You Can Reduce the Effects of EMF Radiation
Sleep in a safe environment
It is important that you minimize EMF exposure while sleeping. This can be done by ensuring that you do not keep your electronic gadgets in your bedroom and that you’ve unplugged everything or switched off all electric devices.
When I first became aware of this I made a conscious effort to turn off all electrical devices in my bedroom and even keep my mobile phone downstairs (switched off) at night and I did notice an improvement in my sleep. However, I still was not sleeping soundly. Then I became aware that the wall behind the headboard of my bed had electrical wires running through it horizontally behind my head while I was sleeping. By simply turning off the plug sockets on that wall at night I found that I was able to sleep more peacefully.
Use your laptop or computer safely
When working on your laptop or computer, it will reduce the effects of EMF exposure if you connect it to a wired ethernet connection instead of using Wi-Fi. In addition, it is always advisable that you take frequent breaks when using your laptop or computer and preferably use it somewhere open rather than in an enclosed room.
To reduce EMF pollution when using your laptop, it is recommended that you use a wired mouse and a wired external keyboard. It is also important that you avoid placing your laptop on your laps when working as this may affect fertility. It would also be wise not to use a laptop on your lap if you are pregnant.
Use your smartphone safely
Another step that you can take to prevent yourself from the negative effects of EMF radiation is by not putting your cell phone in your pocket or in your brassiere.
Other precautions you can take when using your smartphone include talking on the loudspeaker (I always do this whenever possible) rather than holding your phone next to your ear. You can also opt to use Skype or a landline instead of your mobile phone.
Turning off your phone when you’re sleeping or when you’re not using it or switching it onto aeroplane mode also helps to ensure that you are not exposing your self to unnecessary amounts of EMF radiation.
Used wired devices
The first step towards protecting yourself from EMF pollution is to avoid using wireless devices wherever possible and instead use wired devices. For instance, instead of using Wi-Fi on your laptop computer, you can use an ethernet cable, which is much safer.
Instead of using Wi-Fi, you may want to use a router guard. Wireless baby monitors also emit poisonous EMF radiation, and it is important that you avoid using them, and instead use the wired baby monitor, that has been set up from D-Link, for instance.
It is also important that you avoid cordless phones, particularly the digital European cordless telephone, as well as wireless smart meters. If you’re really concerned about this then you may want to look for other telephone options.
Educate your neighbours
It is important to note that a lot of the EMF pollution that is affecting your house and your family could be coming from your next door neighbour who is probably using Wi-Fi, wireless smart meters, or even a cordless DECT phone.
I understand how difficult it can be to go telling your neighbours about EMF pollution more so because some neighbours can be very unreceptive, but you may want to give it a try. This is a brave move that can help to protect you and your family from the harmful health effects of EMF pollution.
Measure the level of EMF pollution
It is important that you measure EMF pollution in your home using a good EMF meter like the Comet ED88T meter or similar.
See my article here for the top four EMF meters that I recommend. If you are on a smaller budget but you would still like to get a decent EMF meter for testing general household items then I recommend the Meterk MK08.
Final Thoughts
Protecting yourself from EMF pollution is now a very important consideration for everyone. Being aware of where your exposure may be coming from is the first step in protecting yourself and your family. Meterk EMF Meter Review - Meterk MK08
If you’ve recently started to get concerned about electromagnetic stress and you’re wanting to buy an affordable EMF Meter to get you started then the Meterk EMF Meter may be the one for you. In fact, this was the first EMF Meter I bought as it’s fairly cheap, easy to use and works straight out of the box.
When I first started to get concerned about EMF’s one of the first things I wanted to do was get a decent (and affordable) EMF Meter so I could test the devices in and around my home so I could then start doing things to limit my exposure. However, in the early days, I didn’t know what would be a good meter for me or how much I should spend.
If you’ve done a little research into EMF Meters then you probably already know that the prices can vary enormously. While I wouldn’t necessarily recommend getting the cheapest EMF Meter you can find, I also wouldn’t also recommend going for the most expensive one on the market for your first meter unless you know a lot about them and are after the extra functionality.
If you’re reading this then you’re probably well aware of the fact that electromagnetic fields are all around us the majority of the time. You may also be more than a little concerned about the negative effects that electromagnetic stress is having on the health of you and your family.
Unfortunately, EMF radiation doesn’t stop with your mobile phone, laptop or router. We are also exposed to EMF radiation from telephone towers, generators and transformers.
An increasing number of people are now suffering from electromagnetic hypersensitivity (aka EHS). For these people, they have symptoms of their exposure. However, even if you don’t currently have any symptoms of EMF radiation, this does not mean that you and your family are not being harmed by the EMF’s. I myself did not use to have any symptoms of electromagnetic hypersensitivity until about two years ago (from writing this), when I started to be affected. Personally, I think there is also a correlation to one’s immune system and EHS, as I started to suffer the symptoms of EMF radiation once I was already run down and under a high amount of stress in my life, but that is another story…
If you or any of your family members don’t yet currently have any symptoms of EMF radiation then it is very important to get a decent EMF Meter so you can quickly find out the level of electromagnetic stress you and your loved ones are exposed to and do something about it before symptoms occur.

2.6 Summary
As I mentioned previously, there is a wide range of meters on the market and the price range differs immensely. When people ask me about the best EMF Meters I often suggest the Trifield 100XE or the Cornet ED78S. Although these are great meters, they are fairly expensive.
A lot of people are interested in getting a cheaply priced reader but one that can also do the job. There’s absolutely no point in getting a cheap meter if it doesn’t give accurate readings or breaks after a short while. So, I wanted to do a review on the best low-cost EMF Meter out there, and that, in my opinion, is the Meterk MK08. This EMF meter is also readily available on Amazon.
Why The Meterk MK08 Is a Great EMF Meter For The Money
When looking at EMF Meters, the most important thing to consider is functionality. While the Meterk MK08 only measures electric and magnetic fields, these two frequencies will cover more or less anything you need to take a measure of when testing for EMF radiation in and around your home. This EMF Meter is also pretty accurate when compared to some of the more expensive models on the market.
Easy To Use
The Meterk MK08 is very easy to use and has four buttons; power, mode, temperature and unit of measurement, which I will explain in this article. The display is also clear and very easy to read and the meter feels nice and substantial in your hand.
When taking readings, the meter will display the accepted units for EMF measurement, which are Micro Tesla and Milli Gauss.
Now let’s take a look at each of the buttons in a bit more detail.
Using The Meterk MK08
Meterk MK08 The Power Button
The power button has two functions; firstly, of course, it turns the device on and off with a long press. However, once the device is switched on, if you press the power button again with a short press then it will activate or mute the sound.
With the sound activate the Meterk will sound an alarm once radiation is detected above acceptable levels. It’s handy to be able to turn on or mute the sound as for some people it could get a bit annoying after a while. Also, if you’re out testing in public places then you may want to be a bit more discrete and mute the sound. Personally, I like having the sound on when I’m using it in private areas like my home. Besides sounding the alarm when higher levels of radiation are detected, the Meterk display screen will also flash red, so it’s not necessary to have the sound on if you don’t want it.
Meterk MK08 mG/uT Button
This button allows you to choose what unit you want to measure with. The options are Gauss or Micro Tesla.
Meterk MK08 Mode Button
This is a great button with several functions. First off, the mode button activates a light for the display screen in case you are using it in the dark. The screen lights up green when using this function. Personally, I leave the backlight off most of the time since I’m usually testing in areas where I can see the screen without needing the light, but it’s nice to have. To activate the backlight press and hold the mode button until it comes on. Press and hold the mode button again to deactivate the backlight.
The second function of the mode button is activated with one short or quick press, which will pause or hold the measurement on the screen.
The third and final function is activated by double tapping the mode button and will give you the maximum reading of the measurement. This is a very useful function as the readings fluctuate quickly up and down while taking readings. This is because the radiation is moving outwards from a device in waves so double-clicking the mode button will give you the maximum reading your meter detects.
Meterk MK08 Temperature Button
The temperature button on the right of the meter also has more than one function. A short press of this button will allow you to switch between ℃ and ℉, depending on your preference.
The second function of this button is activated by depressing and holding the button for a second or two. This will then deactivate the automatic shutoff of the whole meter. What this means is, during normal use the Meterk MK08 will turn itself off automatically after 10 minutes if it has not been used to preserve the batteries. However, if you want to leave it on to measure something for a longer period of time then holding the temperature button will deactivate this function and the MEterk will remain on until you manually turn it off or it runs out of batteries.
Meterk MK08 Specifications
Below are the specifications of the Meterk MK08.
Summary
For me, the Meterk MK08 is the best low-cost EMF Meter. It has great functionality, it’s easy to use and it looks and feels good in your hand. It’s a sturdy device and is very accurate, even when compared to some of the more expensive meters on the market.
If you’re concerned about EMF radiation and how it is affecting you and your family then you’re going to want to get a decent electromagnetic field tester that can give you accurate readings without costing you a fortune to find out. Although the Meterk MK08 is very reasonably priced, I was fortunate enough to but it on special offer. You can check the current price here.
If you’re more experienced and knowledgeable about EMF’s and you want a device with more functionality then you’ll probably want to go for one of the more expensive meters, such as the Trifield 100XE or the Cornet ED78S. Having said that, the Meterk MK08 has been a great buy and find it both useful and effective for accurately detecting levels of EMF radiation in and around my home.

EMF Meters: How to Pick a Good EMF Reader
Today’s world is technology-driven. Most if not all of us use technological devices in our homes, offices and many other places and exposure to electromagnetic fields are increasingly becoming a problem. Most of us use our mobile phones on a daily basis, which is certainly a concern, especially if we’re holding it up to our heads and carrying it around in our pockets. Mobile phones are a prime culprit (among others) for emitting EMF radiation that in the long run could be detrimental to your health, quality of sleep, and overall well-being.
EMF exposure also comes from most of the electronic gadgets you use in your home or office such as baby monitors, wi-fi, microwave, smart meters, computer, laptop, power lines, blenders and many others.
In order to protect you and your loved ones from EMF (Electromagnetic Fields) exposure, we first need to detect what devices a are giving off offensive levels of radiation and where the hot spots are in our home and office. Once we know this, we can then start to put countermeasures in place to help neutralise the effects of this harmful radiation.
So, to begin testing your electrical devices and identifying radiation hot spots, it would be advisable to use an EMF meter, to detect electromagnetic fields. This article is going to delve deeper into some of the things you need to take note of when selecting a meter.
How to Decide the Type of EMF Reader For You
Our markets have so many types of EMF readers, and to be able to choose the one you want to use, you must first understand what you want to measure. It is important to note that the best meter for the job is one that is sensitive to the kind of EMF radiation that you would want to measure, as well as one that would give you accurate information.
EMF meters serve a specific purpose of measuring four different types of EMF that include:
Microwave radiation – comes from wireless technology such as Wi-Fi routers, mobile phone towers, baby monitors, phones that are cordless and smart meters.
Magnetic fields – typically come from power lines. However, erroneous wiring in your home and also various home appliances can also cause magnetic fields.
Electric fields – these radiate from devices that are not shielded. Electrical wiring can also cause electrical fields.
Dirty Electricity, which refers to the type of frequencies that traverse the wiring of your home. This can include things like power adapters, solar power inverters, fluorescent lighting, switches with a dimmer function and of course, wireless smart meters.
To be able to decide which EMF meter will be of best use to you, there are other things that you must be able to determine such as:
If you want to measure electric fields, magnetic fields, or radiofrequency fields?
The type of frequencies you are interested in i.e. is it DC, 60 HZ, ELF, VLF, or microwave?
The level of sensitivity you expect the meter to have?
The level of accuracy you expect to attain from using a certain type of meter.
Whether you would rather use analogue, which is considered the best for surveys and readings that are made on the go; or digital meters, which are considered to have higher accuracy?
Whether you require one with three axis, or whether a single axis would serve the purpose just right?
If there are any special features that you would want a meter to have such as portability, an audible signal and multiple capabilities?
What you intend to do with the information. For instance, do you want to locate hot spots, circuits that are faulty, or do you want to present findings to interested parties.
Please also note that the higher the accuracy you get from a certain type of meter, the higher the price is likely to be.

If what you are looking for is an EMF reader to test for radiation from electromagnetic fields, then look no further. This device can easily and quickly measure EMF radiation levels in home appliances, power lines, as well as commercial devices. This tester gives you the flexibility of using either Milli Gaus or microTesla:
20 microTesla x 0.01 microTesla 200 milli Gauss x 0.1 milli Gauss (1 microTesla = 10 milli Gauss)
There’s a switch on this EMF meter that enables you to manoeuvre between the gauss and tesla measurements.
Check the price of the Lutron EMF-822A here.
If you are looking for a more cost-effective EMF tester then check out my review of the Meterk MK08.
If you would want to measure the electromagnetic fields of a new home or apartment before moving in, then you can consider using an EMF reader that can measure magnetic fields from home wiring and nearby power lines. You could also consider buying a meter that can measure radio frequencies or microwave radiation fields from nearby cell towers, as well as radio and television stations.
If you suspect that you have been exposed to electromagnetic fields and are suspicious that the symptoms you are experiencing could be as a result of electromagnetic sensitivity, then I would recommend that you measure for all types of EMF, more so the electric fields.
Parting Shot
There are a lot of EMF readers on the market that can be used to detect, measure and eliminate the invisible pollution of EMFs, and the above are just a few of them. For great accuracy, it is important that you first know what type of radiation you want to measure.
If you would prefer to get a low-cost EMF meter that is simple to use to get started testing electrical devices in your home then take a look at the Meterk MK08 here.

EMF Protection Crystals - How Do They Work?

EMF Protection Crystals - How Do They Work?
In this modern world of electronics and gadgets, we are now constantly being exposed to higher levels of radiation. Unfortunately, in a large amount of the country we are surrounded by it and for 98% of us we are even carrying it with us in the form of a mobile or cell phone. To make this situation worse our lifestyles are becoming increasingly more stressful, which over time lowers our immune system and resistance to stress including electromagnetic stress.
Types of Electromagnetic Radiation
When it comes to electromagnetic stress, there are two kinds of radiation that we need to know about; Ionized and non-ionized radiation. Ionized radiation is the more harmful and is emitted from X-ray machines, UV rays and also gamma rays. This form of radiation is especially harmful to humans and our exposure to them should be limited wherever possible, which is why the doctors don’t usually like to send a person for too many x-rays within a short period of time.
As for the non-ionized form of radiation, this is still harmful to humans, but no way near as harmful as the ionized variety. However, many of us are often almost constantly surrounded by non-ionized radiation on a daily basis, which over time is proving to have a detrimental effect on people’s health. Couple this with prolonged levels of stress or being run down and a person can soon develop a heightened sensitivity to electromagnetic radiation, which can lead to a variety of symptoms affection our health.
Examples of devices that emit non-ionized radiation include wireless devices such as mobile phones, laptops, Ipads, routers, games consoles and microwaves.
Symptoms of EMF Sensitivity
Many people may be suffering from EMF exposure without even realising. This was certainly the case for myself. My health was progressively getting worse and it took me a while to realise that EMF exposure was playing a big part in that.
The most common symptoms of EMF exposure are;
Headaches
Sleep disturbances
Irritability
Restlessness
Anxiety
Nausea
Memory loss
Depression
Weakened immune system
Exhaustion and fatigue
Lack of concentration
Visual disturbances and weakened vision
Skin rashes
For myself, I was experiencing almost all of these symptoms when I finally realised that EMF stress was largely to blame.
If you or a loved one has a number of these symptoms and you’re suspecting that excessive EMF exposure may also be causing your health issues then you’re probably wondering what you can do about it. Well, fortunately, there are several things that you can do. In the rest of this article, I will be telling you how you can use one cheap and reasonably effective method for combating EMF exposure.
Protecting Yourself Against EMF With Crystals & Stones
There are several methods and devices you can use to help protect yourself and your family from EMF’s. The first method I used was by using EMF protection crystals. I started off using this method first because it’s a reasonably cheap way to get some protection in your home and secondly because I quite coincidentally had a few of the necessary stones in my house, I just didn’t have enough of them at the time and they weren’t in the right place, so I needed to buy some more strong EMF protection crystals and stones.
The theory behind the use of crystals and stones to help combat EMF’s explains their use it two main ways; firstly, the stones are said to be able to absorb and, therefore, dissipate some of the EMF’s. Secondly, the stones also have a grounding energy which can help to combat a lot of the symptoms of EMF exposure that can also make a person feel ungrounded.
You may have also heard of grounding by walking or standing barefoot in nature or even in your back garden. While this can also help, it is often not so convenient for many of us to do this frequently on a day to day basis and the use of EMF protection crystals can be a good alternative.
Which Stones and Crystals to Use
Stones and crystals containing iron
For grounding, stones that contain iron can be particularly useful. Stones with a high amount of iron can be especially effective in harmonizing low-level energy frequencies emitted from non-ionized devices. For people who work with technology and are constantly surrounded by computers, mobile phones and so forth on a consistent basis may especially be at risk from EMF exposure and will likely notice a sense of ungroundedness after a while. Therefore, using the right stones can help to divert a large portion of the EMF’s away from our bodies.
Some examples of stones containing iron include black tourmaline, hematite, chalcopyrite, goethite, epidote, pyrite, limonite, lazulite, marcasite, lepidocrocite, rhodonite, sugilite, staurolite and serpentine.
Personally, I use black tourmaline for EMF protection as this was the stone that most people were talking about as having one of the strongest defences against electromagnetic stress and also geopathic stress when I first started researching these subjects. I first bought a nice chunk of it (see image below) and placed it to intercept the primary geopathic stress line that was entering my property. For EMF protection you can also place the black tourmaline (or any of the above stones) close to your wifi devices and also carry a piece in your pocket or wear it as a piece of jewellery. However, many sources state that copper is the best element to use for shielding.
Stones and crystals containing copper
Besides using stones containing iron, copper is another great element to use to help protect yourself from electromagnetic stress. Stones containing copper can be used for this or even simple copper pipes and rods can also be effective. There are many people who suggest using pieces of copper around your wifi devices to help dissipate the levels of radiation that is being produced by these devices.
Again, copper, particularly copper rods are also recommended to help protect against geopathic stress. At the time of writing this article, I was unfortunate enough to find myself living in an apartment that was a hotspot for both geopathic and electromagnetic stress (I am moving very soon!). Fortunately, the geopathic stress lines were not going through my bed, but they were passing through the living room and the kitchen so I used copper rods and also black tourmaline to help break up the lines. I digress, back to electromagnetic stress…
So, when it comes to using copper to help disperse the radiation from wifi devices, most people prefer to use stones as they just look nicer than having pieces of metal lying around.
Stones containing copper include chrysocolla, azurite, dioptase, chalcopyrite, tennantite, malachite, shattuckite, ajoite, cuprite, mottramite, covalite and turquoise.
youtube
As mentioned previously, copper is said to be the best element to use for EMF shielding and can either be used to surround the offending electrical devices or placed between yourself and the device. For example, if you are sitting in front of your computer screen for long periods of time then placing a piece of copper or a crystal containing copper between you and your screen is supposed to be effective to shield you from some of the radiation.
It is important to double check you are using the right stones, ie ones that contain either copper or iron in order to ensure you are being protected. Secondly, it is important to make sure you are not placing any stones with magnetic properties such as magnetite too close to your electrical devices as the magnetic properties can damage the components of your devices and in some cases, they can even wipe the memory of mobile phones, tablets and computers.
