I’m usual ‘funny’ in these captions and make comments and shit but I really can’t find anything anymore.

Looking back at tumblr just makes me more sad. I swear it’s people who have had the best experience at hs... have to experience a shitty time in college. I’m not sure if I’ve changed or my attitude is whack. What do I even want??? I’m going through a mid life crisis.

Also last night julia explained how we’re entering a new decade and this is the decade that we may get married and have kids. Holy shit, last decade flew by and was such a good time with nothing to really worry about. Now adulthood starts?

It’s 11:18 am. I skipped work just to lay in bed. I have zero motivation whether it’s for homework, socializing, working out. Idk I’m a mess. Don’t want to wake up in the mornings. I am not excited for life like I used to be.

It’s weird going from catching up about our week on the couch of our Russian church each sabbath, to catching up over the last 6 months .. these friends(you know who you are;)) have been a constant in my life and I know I won’t ever ever lose them

October 1, 2019:

Highlights:

- Seeing google view, like I seriously might be on google earth forever for years to come omg omg

- Talking to a sheriff after she saw my parallel parking, “ you were quite a bit sways form the curb” ( but she didn’t see my parallel parking job done by the girls dorm :(

- The task analysis talk with strobel. He is a genius.

- Accepted a job position to tutor kids math and reading. (I low key forgot how to subtract)

Low moments:

- thinking a man and his little boy were printing cute family pictures at the Walmart photo print section. Turns out he was printing the latest moose he killed. 😦

September 30, 2019:

My new research is that I am the most motivated and humorous when I get exactly 4 hours of sleep and get up at 5:20 am. Julia says it’s because I’m delusional

I loved all my classes in the morning even tho I got 50 % on a phy ed quiz. “Knock on wood”

My English teacher is awesome and I think she may have given away that she used to smoke pot. You know those teachers that hear your funny comments and they laugh and respond to it and the rest of the class is just like stfu. Love her

We decide on taqueria because I had a 50$ giftcard. Walla Walla university really gave me the WRONG one. Lady said “sorry mam this isn’t for our restaurant” mi publeito?! Mi triste:(

the rest of the day I’m too lazy to type out. Altho the moment I want to highlight from today is:

- telling a girl her pussy will stink if she don’t shower ( we were coming back from an intense workout, and one said she wasn’t going to shower, to give some context) they looked at me in horror like I said the craziest shit. Was I being too vulgar? I believe I was just stating the obvious. Sorry I will say hoohah next time.

September 29, 2019:

I should be continuing homework. I mean I have been the last 7 hours or so. But this was calling me.

Lately I’ve been in a mild depressed stage. Still haven’t found cool friends to hang out and do adrenaline stuff with. I am sick and tired of movies and bowling. I think I’ve become close minded because I have such amazing friends back home that no one even comes close to comparison. But just like dating, people will pop into your lives when you least expect it... but should I be searching ?? Maybe I will do a new best friend experiment. Go on “dates with girls” and see if they fulfill me. Hahaha just kidding. I know I know. It takes time. Years and years. Isn’t it possible to just naturally click with someone?

Anyways my highlights of the day included:

1) talking to an elderly couple at Starbucks who told me they are going to put my name on their refirdgerator. :’)

2) FaceTimed brenden who charged me 100$ an hour for letting me talk to Jesse his best friend about my friend issues. “You’re grieving over your old friends” “keener”

3) talking to Jordan over the phone and basically we are the same exact majors now :))))

Negative Nancy Ordeals:

1) I accidentally downloaded 3 viruses into my computer

2) I need to wake up in 4 hours, yet I still have to study for 3 quizzes

September 10, 2019:

Nope, I am not doing any previous days. We are trying to get back into this again. I forgot how. How did I mange to write like 5 paragraphs each day?!?! Sophomore emi had a lot to say I guess.

So here’s how the Walla Walla life goes:

9:30am: i wake up. Not excited to start the day.

11-12pm: wasn’t a very effective practice, but what’s new?

1-4pm: you’d think hey this is the time to get shit done.... I did so much researching for scholarships because this is what us poor people do. Either everything is a scam or you gotta be Native American. Or an incredible writer. My tumblr captions didn’t exactly make me into a novelist. I found an adventist one but then the question came up of when I got baptized..... well... they definitely won’t consider me now. I put 2020. And then afterwards it asked me what my “conversion experience looked like”. What am I supposed to say?? I wasn’t a crackhead who went through a crazy breakthrough... neither was a pathfinder girl with 10000 badges with attended oshkoshes..

I got my certificate for a court ordered driving course so at least I felt a little bit accomplished.

4:30pm: game time prep. What does that look like for emi? Sport motivational podcasts. I would recommend it to everyone. I went into the team room asking everyone if they listen to podcasts. Summer told me she gets hyped from “hatred” for the other team. This is when Gabriel browning admitted she’s been in twerk circles.

5:30pm: team room time. You know the 30 min before a game where you are trying desperately to get your team hyped but because everyone is adventist, no one wants to dance and make a fool out of themselves so instead we all just awkwardly stretch and pretend we have a specific routine. LOL. Also there is a Hispanic girl on our team who legit knows every single dance and is incredible. Which makes all the rest of us look like.. well we don’t need to picture that. There is music and everything.. I mean COMON kiss me thru the phone plays. No one is singing but me. So then I stop... and find “activities” I can entertain myself. I take a basketball and circle it around me. I take a tennis ball and roll my body around it against the wall. I do some yoga moves. I ask the Hispanic girl to teach me the windmill breakdance move. It takes awhile to break everyone’s fear of embarrassment.. everyone is too afraid to be “weird”. Anyways enough with my rant.

7:00pm: We play bad. Jenn tells everyone she forgot how to jump serve. Scott accidentally puts a 5’0 foot girl to play MIDDLE IN THE FRONT ROW. I’m surprised the refs didn’t hand us another red card LOL, would’ve been our third one. Love that for us!! “Maybe we will get to double digits!” The other team’s second string and third string got playing time.

9:00pm-12:00am: yet for some reason, I was on cloud nine. So who cares if the team sucks and we have no chemistry? I’ll work on bettering myself and I’ll just try my best to have a good time while I’m at it. What’s the purpose of drama and blaming others??? That’s another rant. Coming back into my room... Jordan - my roommate- and I have one of the best nights in our jail length cell dorm room. From “try not to laugh-impossible !” Youtube challenges where Jordan has a blank face the whole time it low key scared me..so I made her lay on the ground and laugh uncontrollably. You know what I’m talking about Yanna, Sonya, Karina,, etc:))...(it worked and she is a silent laugher. Strange. Afterwards comes our dance party...”I just found out who souja boy was today”.... ...............And then finally SOMEONE let’s me show tHe MY NAME IS KHAN trailer. Of course She then has to show me her favorite horse movie.. ( I told myself I would never be friends with horse girls...........)

It took me one month to finally reach a point where I am “weird weird” with somebody. And it’s my own roommate who didn’t even know what dr martens were. Life surprises you. I truly love her.

AUGUST 1-4, 2019:

looking back, wow I miss my family so much. It’s absolutely true. You take everything for granted once it’s gone. Even when I saw them every second of the day and got annoyed most of the time by my brother begging to play with me... I can’t wait to see them again. (Especially Joshua)

I packed it all and it was go time.... of course we had to stop at some fancy hotel in tri cities. I think it was sort of a culture shock for my parents because when we entered the hotel, the wine smell HIT. We walked right in the middle of a cocktail party hahaha. “Welcome to Walla Walla mama!”

But it was such a relaxing time.. my brother brought his new “mountain” bike and during the night we’d sit together on. Somehow it still could hold us. The weather was also so so perfect. There’s EVEN no mosquitos here :O

Saturday, we attended a random sda church where honestly top 3 sermons I’ve heard in a very long time. “You don’t see any of those 28 beliefs up here”. Noah took a dip in the pool..how cute

Finally on our way to Walla Walla, the road got closed off with like 20 police cars; I swear it was like from some criminal documentary. Bomb squad car, FBI, I was confused and had to search up if it was Pasco or El Paso we were in 🤭

A police officer gave us directions and we went on some random ass road. Everything leads back to Walla Walla university of course so I wasn’t too worried. Fields after fields with no human civilization... i tricked my brother into thinking we were super close and said “this is it” this is where I will be going to school!” * as I point to some abandoned buildings.. he looked so stunned ..”but you said there was a subway!” “No.. we make and eat our own food here, josh” Josh: “what if you run out of water?” “It’s okay we got cows, we’ll milk em” Josh: “why aren’t mom and dad stopping” “They just don’t know the area,

This last week was one of the best. I finally got to coach a volleyball camp of 32 kids. My director, she could give less of a shit about it. And she kinda has that half asleep look on her face 24/7. Also my other coach was only 16!! So here’s us three, sorta ready to take on these kids.

Okay wow but my curriculums were on point. Pancakes, foursquare volleyball, hitting survivor, deadfish. I couldn’t recognize myself because for once I was a leader and not a follower. I managed to have a loud voice the whole week! (I have had 3 people say my voice sounded sexier because it got lower lmao)

I have this thing called THE BOX, and I buy candy each week to put inside. Whoever shows the life skill of the day gets to choose from... THE BOX. Kids get so excited over it, it’s adorable

It’s incredible how much these kids learned too.. What’s the role for each position? What are the purposes of tips? Transitioning??? I’m telling you.. I felt like I was inside another body. It was exhilarating.

I had several who spoke Russian as well so bonus for me to impress them;) “you have an accent” NO I DO NOT.

On one certain day, Anna banana (her nickname) started playing the piano during snack time. Shit this girl is the female Beethoven. Everyone gathered around, listening and watching in awe as her fingers moved lightning speed. “Now judge my piano playing” as I sit down and play.... yup.. HALL OF FAME by the script lol. My other coaches are laughing at me. I couldn’t help my 12 year old obsession coming out okay gosh. All the kids were too young for that phase. Counting stars is more in their realm lol. It’s a moment I’ll remember. Sure will miss Anna banana.

I had one girl tell me she “doesn’t play with others who don’t know what they are doing”. I looked at her like wtf bitch, THE OTHER team is WINNING. Comon Kiera

Also emi over here scored another job offer for private lessons to this cute girl named Sabrina.

On the last day, I set up brackets for the first time and created a logo for it. Trying to look all official you know? The director looked at me & said “why are you putting so much effort into this, I just want the day to be over with” I looked at her, fake laughed, and thought to myself ... wait but I’m so excited for these kids ??? I caught myself before judging tho because I said the same thing a couple weeks back.

I always want to get better. Whatever I do. I want to be better. For the kids. At volleyball. My “getting thick journey”, creating relationships, checking in with friends, helping my family, the list goes on.. I was starting to lose motivation and wow this last week was an amazing reminder. I can do this. I’m learning. Let life do its thing and stay open minded:)))

The last couple of weeks, 2019:

No I am not really “catching up on my tumblr”. I just miss it. It always calls you back.

So summer 2019. Supposedly it should be the longest one after you graduate ha (also the most exciting) where you and your friends go on roadtrips to California and cross the border over to Canada. Sadly it’s not. I mean you can make it happen if everyone puts their best effort, however making $$ becomes first priority.

Honestly starting a job with Skyhawks took a huge toll on me. It’s not the kind of job where you just “show up”. Lots of prep work involved with creating curriculums for certain sports. My poor self was not ready to lead a MULTI sport camp for 28 kids my FIRST week on the job. I probably only got 2 hours of sleep each night ...hence the car I rear ended in my last post. I fell asleep while driving. Good job emi!

I finally understood “TGIFS” and why everyone despises Monday’s. I hated waking up, it was like an ongoing research paper...trying to figure out how to keep these kids engaged for 7 hours each day. I was STRESSED out.

Although I do have a lot of stories...

from kids saying “I hate you!!” but then at the end of the week they want a picture together??” One kid wouldn’t stop saying puta because he thought he spoke Spanish. One kid refused to use the porta potty and peed himself. One made me subscribe to his roblox YouTube channel.

I thought I would love my job right from the start. 90% of people don’t. You learn to adjust.

Aside from work related stuff, I did go on a sweet hike and wow that clean bar was the highlight of the trip. I still think about it. Also I can’t forget Karolina telling us something about how she wipes while people were behind us.

Going on the Stuart’s boat was the best part of summer yet. I don’t get why everyone else was sleeping. I was having the time of my life. My future husband and I- YOU BET we will have a boat.

looking back, especially the first few weeks on the job... I was so mentally exhausted.. would come home, nap for like 4 hours. Make my plan. Than same routine the next day. Idk, it was unfulfilling.

Lately I’ve been asking myself again and again, “what makes a good day?” I realized for me.. I have to feel accomplished by the end of the day. Or else, it’s time being wasted. Friends, volleyball, & conversation help too.

This is a long ass caption and not very interesting but it’s about time I get back into the 365 tumblr
