I cried my eyes out. This performance was pure power. This song has meant more to me than I can ever express. As a survivor. This song has given life.

60% of gun-related deaths in the US are suicides.
Guns are the most popular method of suicide, and 90% of suicide attempts conducted via gun result in death.
The risk of someone even attempting suicide is 4.8 times higher if theyāre exposed to a gun or guns on a regular basis.
In a couple weeks, Iāll be twenty-eight. Iāve been dealing with suicidal thoughts and urges for almost seventeen years.
Iāve made it a long time. Iāve been doing this for as long as a lot of the people currently reading this will probably have been alive.
The fact that Iāve made it this long can be chalked up to a lot of things, a lot of various coping techniques, a lot of active intervention by a lot of friends.
But itās impossible to convey how little any of those things would have mattered if there had ever been a point in my life where I could have walked over to a safe, punched in a combination, and received a deadly weapon.
The sheer, unrelenting immediacy of that would have superseded literally everything else.
I would not be alive today if I grew up with guns in the house.

Lifetime's Flowers in the Attic
Thank you for making the film more like the book. Wonderful! But there were some details left out that are very critical.
1. Cathy and Chrisā first time wasnāt all rainbows and butterflies. No. Chris was enraged that Cathy kissed Bart, therefore, he tells her that he will make her his in that moment and then proceeds to have sex with her. The reader believes it is rape until Cathy tells Chris she could have stopped him if she WANTED to because her legs were so strong from dancing. The sex was fueled by anger, passion, and curiosity. And more importantly, they are seriously disturbed by the guilt and this guilt stays with them their entire life. That guilt is very, very important. Not only for Flowers in the Attic, but the stories ahead as well. So vital.
2. The children walk right out the front door! Thereās never a tender moment with the groundkeeper. No. They had to fend for themselves. They knocked the Grandmother out and got the hell out of Dodge.
3. The mother never tells the kids that she remarries. The children find that out on their own. Actually, itās very heartbreaking when they find out. (One of many heartbreaking moments)
4. What happen to the will? The children find out that if the mother ever has children or it is proven that she has children, she will be disinherited. Hence, the poisoning of the children.
5. Cathy was heavily drugged when the tar was put in her hair. (Who in the hell would sleep through that?)
6. The children would ALWAYS wait for their father to return home while hiding in the living room. He would ALWAYS say"Come greet me with kisses if you love me!ā Then the children would run up and embrace him with love.
Lifetime, thereās no need to change it up. We like it how it is! But Iām still happy and canāt wait to see the next films!

quick thing !Ā Ā flowers in the attic ( + series ) is not a romance. itās about trauma and abuse and the results of those things. cathy and chris are not in love, they are notĀ ācuteā orĀ āhappyā they are severally damaged and stunted people who would need years of intense therapy to help them. please, stop romanticizing what happened to them. Ā

āIām terrified of my grandson and granddaughter entering into an incestuous relationship, so to prevent this, Iām going to lock them up together in the small attic where their only company is each other then act all shocked when they inevitably develop romantic feelings.ā the grandmother in Flowers in the Attic essentially.
Christ, wouldnāt it have made more sense to send one of them off to boarding school or something?
