Only after meeting my boyfriends parents about five years ago, I was introduced to Princess-tea. It's some what basic black tea, but it always has some words of wisdom in it. This one says "Do just good". Do = tee in Finnish, and tee means also tea. I always try to pick a teabag randomly and go by it at the time being. The mug is one of those very popular Moomin-mugs that a lot of people collect. I myself, don't own even one, but usually people have plenty. Some of my friends even close to twenty. The motive always changes. Here's one of my favorite charachters: Nipsu, who is sometimes shy and timid, but otherwise somewhat selfish and greed.

Throwback to the beginning of this year, when I was in London having some tea and scones with clotted cream and jam. My nooks of the world doesn't understand clotted cream, so the real scone-experience isn't really available here. The real tea experience is also missing currently as I was at the dentist and she banned all hot drinks for me for a week 🙁

Just realized that Mrs Potts was my favourite charachter from the animated film of Beauty and the Beast. Is that where my love for tea comes from????

This lemon and ginger tea is most likely also a divider. You will either love it - or hate it. I usually have not liked any ginger teas, but this one I do. It is really spicy in a way and good if you have a flu or other cold symptoms. I myself woke up with a sore throat, so I immedoately knew what kind of tea is a must have. The mug is a farewell present from a previous job. I guess they knew how much I love tea 😊

I'm back! Today I had mint tea. I feel like it's one of those things you either like or hate. I have to admit that I usually lean towards hate as it tastes bit too much of toothpasty to me - but occasionally it's fine. Couple summers ago I dried my own mint and made tea with that. Perhaps I'll make a whole post of it one day..

Time off
This teablog is taking some time off as I have no interest to drink tea at the moment. I will come back at the latest in autumn, as that is the most inspiring teaseason for me. Take care!

Someone once told a person on a forum that they were merely having only colored water as they only put the tea bag into water only for few or more seconds. That was the time when I realized I had done the same thing. Since then I've respected the time tea needs to become tasteful tea. And now I enjoy my tea even more. But still it took me some weeks to understand that I need to do the same for my rooibos tea. I had let that set for the couple minutes that green tea and black tea acquires. Mistake. Today I had my yucky orange tea after letting it set for five minutes - and it was good. Not yummy good, but good. So definitely if your tea doesn't taste that great - try to find the right time for it. If it still doesn't taste that good - try to get used to the taste like I'm trying with my rhubarb tea. Then if it's still sucky - give it to someone else (har har), or throw it out. The tea in the picture isn't sucky. It's the most perfect tea of all time: Emperor's Bride.

Green tea with lemon was my favorite kind of green tea before evil Earl Gray hopped into my life. Well. Umm. Haha. After I posted the other post I realized how I could quite simply make Earl Green. Loose leaves, dear old me, loose leaves! I've heard than in the America there are places where you can mix and match your teas that you buy. Of course that doesn't help me as they are there and I am here. But, huge revelation, I could mix them myself! Why I didn't think of it any sooner?! I really have to get into this loose leaf-thing. The opportunity of different tastes in tea would be unlimited!

Ceylon is again another tea I've had issues because of the packaging. This is not bad though, a cute little elephant. Is it coincide that I really enjoyed the tea?! I'd say no. So, another black tea. This is from Sri Lanka. After having this I might say my taste palet has improved, or this was just fenomenally good tea. And it is. Elephants rule!

A while ago we visit another city here in Finland: Tampere. On Sunday we hade some spare time so we search a cafe to go to - and we found it. It was called Runo (Poem, in English). I had to make a quick decision on what tea I'd like to have and Earl Green it became. Obviously it's green tea with the taste of Earl Gray. I really hope I could find this somewhere to buy because I like the benefical things of green tea - and I love Earl Gray. At first, seeing this in a jar, felt kind of odd, but oddity won. The cafe itself had definitely some character. Old chairs and tables, velvet couches, tables for normal people and hobbits - as it felt to me in out tiny little table and chairs. Atmosphere was welcoming and I could see myself there again. Perhaps reading some of the poetry books they displayed all over.

I'm going through my boyfriend's tea selection. This is the package I have a problem with because of the nightmare giving design on top of them. The tea itself is black. This one being from Kenya. Between these black teas you can visually see the difference between the teas, but in taste?! Guess my tastepalet isn't that great.
