The Success of the Great Experiment
No other nation on earth has produced as much art, science, literature and progress that is as widely enjoyed as what was created in America. No other nation had such radical ideals about equality.

Occultism
The only knowledge that has had any practical application to my life:
Knowledge of the celestial bodies and their movements and their electromagnetic influence on human consciousness
Knowledge of energy and how all diseases and discomforts have their origins from it, and how no disease is permanent
Knowledge of intention and emotion and how it produces a palpable effect on those around us, how it colors our perceptions and our interactions
Knowledge of how the elements correspond to bodily functions, and how foods and drinks embody different platonic elements
Knowledge of the environment and how it affects the subconscious
Knowledge of how one’s actions affect one’s subconscious and affects our perceptions
Knowledge of symbols and words and how it affects the collective unconscious, often used in marketing and product branding
The soul's journey, awakening and mastering one state of being and then advancing to higher states of being
Hindu philosophy about chakras, traditional psychology's interpretation of humors, cheiromancy, the link between psychology and morphology.
And conventional knowledge and wisdom from books on personal finance, personal relationships, investing, business, etc.
Everything else I learned, I regarded as curiosities, conspiracy theories or facts that weren't relevant to my life

My Education
Went to a public Elementary School in Virginia, where I was born. Moved overseas with my family for my father's work as an executive for one of the largest live entertainment companies in the world.
Both my parents are Christian and naturalized American citizens. I was raised in the suburbs of America and taught to speak both Japanese and Mandarin from a young age, in school and at home. My mother’s family owned large swaths of land in Taiwan, and my father comes from a line of successful businessmen.
Attended a private, American international school throughout middle school and high school.
Self taught HTML and CSS in middle school, built websites and desktop customizations as a hobby.
Visited Australia, New Zealand and Istanbul during school field trips in my sophomore, junior and senior years respectively.
Built a PHP-based, RSS feed aggregator in at the age of 15.
Graduated high-school with advanced-placement college credits in Statistics, Psychology, English composition and Physics and an SAT score for English comprehension of 720 and a score of 540 in math. (95th percent-tile and 60th percent-tile respectively).
Attended, at first, Calvin College in Michigan, then Drake University in Iowa for a liberal arts degree in Political Science. I built my first commercial website in at the age of 20.
Dropped out of college in at age 21, returned to where my family was stationed, spent time reading articles, engaging in film and literature, collecting pieces for my scrapbook, experimenting with drugs, womanizing, and practicing what would eventually become my trade (software engineering).
I was arrested at age 24 on charges of drug trafficking marijuana, which the state prosecutors had feeble evidence for, along with others in the circle of international students, some of whom Stefano, Gavin, and the others knew.
I met her soon after. I somehow knew immediately that I would give her my heart. I fought state prosecutors for two years while living with her, before accepting the state's sentence.
Between the age of 26 and 30 during my incarceration, I read every possible book I could find on financial investment, entrepreneurship, self improvement, computer programming and real estate.
At age 30 I began taking courses through televised lectures on software engineering. I was employed for an internship that year on a meager salary and worked at that job for one-and-a-half years. I've been building software for 5 years now.
Private school education: 7 years
Self-taught HTML & CSS: 5 years
College (combined experience): 2 years
Films & books: innumerable
Freelance digital marketing, a profession closely related to software engineering: 3 years
Software Engineering: 5 years

My Temperament
I've had a thin frame for most of my life and a cerebral personality. Headstrong, at odds with my parents since my infancy. I've had an irreverent disposition towards authority perhaps because of that.
Despite that, I have a tendency to idealize the women in my romantic life, yet recent years have made me cynical and flaw-seeking. In the absence of love, I found solace in temporary romances with women that were equally rebellious.
My childhood was mostly what you would expect living in the suburbs of America. I would spend my Halloween and Christmas in the States and my Summer Festivals in Japan. There seems, in retrospect, that a shadow followed me in my early years, tainting my experiences with negativity.
I spent most of my private school years in solitude, whether I was spending my lunch breaks alone in the school library and computer lab or while at home playing video games with friends I would never meet in person.
I started seeking spiritual fulfillment during my years at Drake University, after I had discovered a video on quantum physics and the nature of reality. I watched many documentaries in those days.
I was 22 when everybody thought the world would end. Perhaps it had ended, perhaps it had just begun. That year, some of the most notable films were released in theaters, films that made me weep in my seat. It was also the year I discovered acid. More specifically, a derivative of LSD, along with STP and other drugs. This was my most sexually active and spiritually exploratory period of my life, where I dated many strange and gothic women, learned about astrology, tarot divination, meditation and energy.
I read about Hindu beliefs, went to Buddhist temples, almost signed a business contract with a Christian preacher, helped a student-led, non-profit Christian organization and explored both the light and dark sides of existence. I believe I met Beelzabub on various occasions. I watched educators teach about sigil magick and its relevance to modern business marketing, managed to abstain from all sexual activity for 5 days on one occasion, learned about ancient esoteric arts, and encountered a short story about immortality that would change my life.
In retrospect, my most transformative years were my years in college, where I was able to break free from the shackles of overbearing parents, where I spent much time with the girl that won my heart initially and where I smoked marijuana frequently--and my years in prison, where I lived among the old, disenfranchised and domesticated ex-traids of Singapore, where I was seen mostly as a curiosity, a misfit, and an outsider. I read more books and wrote more letters than I had during my entire life. I proved my loyalty to my then-fiancee, who would visit me every two weeks and send me letters and new books throughout those years.

Freemasonry
My great-grandfather was purportedly a mason. I never claimed to be. He and my grandfather were both Christian, English-educated Japanese gentlemen. Both my grandfather and my father have had great success in international business. It would be years later before I experienced the axiom, "As Above, So Below" viscerally, and appreciate it fully.
While I was employed in America by the financial exchange as a software developer (age 32), I had thought to seek a lodge to join. I haven't had a chance to join one yet. I don't know now if I ever will, if I'll lose interest before I get around to it.
