Yeah...I'm late to the TAZ train in general (hopped on during Amnesty), but after seeing the "fanbase" in action after Graduation ended/since Ethersea started...yeah this is why I don't engage with "communities".

Chuds get so entitled to content, and they want all of it to be as good as the first time (it never will be, kids, get used to it), and maybe being over 30 gives me more perspective, but seriously can everyone just calm down? Do these folks really only listen so they can complain that it isn't like Balance, and they don't know how to play D&D anyways, and Travis is terrible! (Really, half the complaints are directed AT Travis for a bunch of wild reasons)

And the funniest/saddest part is...this anger jockeys will come around saying they are "Allowed to Criticize!" And "you're only defending them due to your parasocial relationship...you aren't gonna be the 4th McElroy Brother!" When in all reality the people with the most parasocial relationship to these Podcasters are most likely the people who leap with claws drawn to complain about An Episode of a podcast they seemingly hate is going back to it's regular twice a month schedule.

Parasocial relationships aren't just about Liking people. It can be about Hating them too.

Ethersea has been alright. Gets me through work. I've listened to the first three episodes multiple times just cause it is background noise... 5/10 will listen again tomorrow.

And everyone in the replies is tearing them to shreds!! oh my god the DM literally just had a child and they have like 3 weekly podcasts each, if they need to buy time for a week why is that so bad? Oh my god for fucks sake most of you get this content for free and you could if you wanted to so like, chill on it returning to normal schedule. Clearly you have never made anything for an audience before. Expectations are immense
