I could probably write an essay abt the themes I managed to catch + the deviations from the og myth and why it works. I love this interp of nezha sm... a symbol of eternal youth not literally but through his fighting spirit. His willingness to go against laws that are unbreakable. He is simple like a child because he knows no fear but that's why he's a hero. Only children have the delusions that they can save and change the world

The nezha in the myth that kills himself to repay the debt of being born vs the nezha in the movie who fights to live the way he is so he would never have to believe that his birth was something horrible and wrong. Sigh. Dies for love vs saved by love. Sighs

Anyways I cried like 3 times while watching the movie highly recommend

they likely take turns, but i personally chose big spoon riri. despite them both technically being strong, riri has natural strength that isn’t superhuman and it’s something shuri admires! she’s enamored with the fact that this woman can hold her own so well without powers, and there’s a level of security that comes with the feeling of riri’s strong arms wrapped around her.
