My sister just told me that higgs from death stranding is probably my type and then showed me a video of him torturing Sam. Unfortunately, I could not get past his joker face. But I have to admit, be had the right vibes for my trash taste in imaginary men.

scrae, the sheep, belongs to @enbywerewolf ! i wanted to draw sable and scrae doing something cute together :3 so i thought it would be nice to walk through the park, but then the idea of one of them riding in a wagon came to me and i thought that was a cute idea. so sable is in his feral form here to accommodate pulling the wagon.

So my 14 year old has an idea that he's calling the "Million Adam Smashers" argument. The reference is from Cyperpunk 2077, where there is a character, Adam Smasher, who has turned himself into a living tank, a complete cyborg in which the only thing still human is his literal brain. My son's argument is this: as a creator--a writer, game designer, manga artist, whatever--you need to ask yourself, why is this guy unique? Why are there not a million Adam Smashers? All you need is money, connections, and a specific mindset that allows you to cope with or disregard your supposed lack of "humanity", and you too can be Adam Smasher. And he's right; there should be dozens, hundreds of rich assholes who might otherwise get into racing or yachts or something but if you can become a terrifying cyborg capable of stopping a car with one hand, at least some people, out of the billions in the universe, would choose that. Why don't Arasaka and Militech just have twenty Adam Smashers apiece?

More broadly, he's making a point about fictional characters, usually main characters--is what makes them special, you know....actually special? Are they the main character because these things happened to them, or did these things happen because they're the main character? Why are they Adam Smasher, and not someone else? It's a test; a check to make sure you're not favoring the character because you're enamored with that character.

I think it's an interesting mental exercise. Take a good look at your universe and your characters and make sure that if there's only one Adam Smasher, only one Captain America, only one Rock Lee, only one Joker, there's a good reason.

one time in my last job a woman came up to the register explaining that when she bought stuff a day prior the clerk forgot to scan a pair of socks worth less than €2 and it was only right for her to bring it back to the store and pay for it proper. unfortunately my manager was directly next to me at the time and took over the register to handle this serious issue. the receipt she had brought with her said which register performed the previous transaction that forgot the socks and the manager could find out who was running that till on that day. poor dude had a manager yell at him for a half hour about how much of an incompetent fuck up he was, he left the job immediately after but i couldnt tell you if he quit or was fired

i think about this moment a lot. the customer seemed like a sweet woman with only good intentions and when she paid for the socks she had a look on her face that said "i feel good because i did the right thing". and a guy lost his job because of a pair of socks. if shit like this ever happens to you and a clerk forgets to scan an item just think of it as a small blessing or that you had good luck or something. keep it.

Hey, y’all! My roommate and I are organizing a comic anthology and we could use all the help we can get to secure funding for printing! Here’s a bit about the project:

"In Between Things" is a comic anthology organized by Mac McGuire featuring 20 Chicago-based comic artists. Exploring themes of frustration, personal growth, small wins, and big losses, the collection draws on universal experiences to create commentary on everything good and bad about being in your 20s.

Ages 20 to 29 are fundamentally about being in between things. In between youth and adulthood, in between jobs, in between relationships, in between terrible and still somehow sort of cool. This horrifying period of growth provides the perfect stage for storytelling and reflection. Within this anthology, see 20 stories from 20 artists who take that stage to share what they've learned so far.

The goal of this Kickstarter is to raise enough money for printing and to pay each artist a stipend for their contribution. Any extra campaign funds beyond 100% will be used to increase the total stipend amount paid to each contributor.

This big otter works as the cook at Echo's diner and unfortunately suffers from back problems, which has lead to him getting addicted to painkillers. Not much is known about him but he is described as a "teddy bear." Dale doesn't have a canon design but this design by NinjaWolf15 has been pretty widely accepted as canon, so it's the one I picked! Mastercard and visa have reported to a couple news outlets that they are currently being swamped with calls and complaints. Keep up the pressure and try to (politely) insist that you leave a complaint via phone instead of letting the rep direct you to emails. It's way easier to be overwhelmed by a much smaller number of calls so each one counts for a bit more!
