You’d probably be new to the town, moving with your family to the east side of Tulsa, Oklahoma, maybe due a job offer or any other crazy thing. You attend Roger’s high school, right at the bat you’re already experiencing isolation and being treated like a animal in a zoo being starred at oogeled by your white peers and classmates, the only place where you find a bit of serenity the school library thankfully you knew you’d never find those jerks there. You explored the rows and columns of books foraging for one that could spark your interest just then you spot a book with a red cover and golden words on its spin (it’s gone with the wind yall-) you smiled raising yourself up to obtain the scarlet book just then your hand meet with another.

When you and pony started dating he was completely love struck it was his first time dating a colored girl or..any girl for that matter, but none the less he was nervous of doing anything that might upset you, so he’d try to act tuff and cool he caught up on how Dallas made girl swoon over him with his nonchalant attitude and charming demeanor so he went with that, he learned really quickly that, that would work with you and to be honest he was more than glad to stop.

You and him love reading together and sharing your thoughts about certain stories almost like a mini personal book club between you two, you both probably be at your house since the Curtis house is always full with the gang lounging about, Ponyboy would be hesitant to go into a girls room making sure not to touch anything or stare when he saw your bra in the floor but the more and more you two spent time together he and you got more comfortable with sharing space.

When pony hears someone call you a negor or any other dumb slur it gets pissed greaser or soc it doesn’t matter he’ll beat the shit outta them or threaten them scaring the shitless. Pony himself never really understood prejudice that probably because Darry taught him better than that, so when someone points out someone different he’d probably think they’re talking about clothes or hair.

Pony loves your hair I mean loves it, he like how coily and bouncy it is he loves intertwining his fingers around the curls of your hair he loves laying next to you and feeling your soft hair against his arms or chest. He calls you a teddy bear .

When he first introduced you to the gang the were shocked of course I mean how couldn’t they be Ponyboy had a girlfriend. Dallas made quick work with asking questions and saying things “I didn’t expect her to be black?” He chuckled which Soda just as fast punched Dally’s shoulder.
