I am trying very hard to be kind to myself. I know my disability means that exertion is harder on my body and takes longer to recover from, but it's so frustrating and I hate feeling so physically and emotionally fragile

I'm really happy with how the bracing appointment went! The guy doing was really nice. I'm going to be getting some donjoy titanium acl braces since those were the ones that were both lightweight and had a low clearance profile, which he was very insistent on considering how small I am and the lack of leg strength. Apparently, I have some pretty bad muscle guarding in order to prevent hyper extension, which these new braces should help, and hopefully my pt and I can work on that! Overall it was really good even if my legs are exhausted now

I have my bracing eval appointment tomorrow! I am pretty anxious, but nowhere near as bad as it would be without my meds.

God I am so overwhelmed by all this health stuff. I hate being my own doctor and having to coordinate all my own care

I have some questions for people with mcas who might be more knowledgeable than me. Basically, it got fielded to me that I might have mcas because of one isolated incident that happened a few months ago where a day after finishing a round of painkillers and antibiotics from gum surgery my face puffed up really badly. I went to the er and they sent me home with some heavy duty antihistamines that fixed it. The thing is this waa the only time something like this has ever happened to me in my life. That makes me doubt it is mcas because everyone I know who has it has much more extensive issues. Has anyone ever heard of this before?
