I vaguely remember seeing someone take shit from people on here for being bold enough to say regardless of your mental health you have to go out and do shit if you ever want to feel better/do better/deal with things better

Yeah yeah, everyone goes at their own pace and talking about things online or with a therapist or whatever can help, but only up to a point. Then you actually have to do it.

This learned helplessness shit benefits a lot of different people for many different reasons so it is encouraged--the perpetual child is constantly seeking outside validation and instruction, for one. And hell you don't need me to tell you how insecurities are used to sell things.

Anyway the boomer-tier "just suck it up" mentality is insensitive but unfortunately it's more correct than not. Your problems may be very real and that truly sucks...but no one's going to get your shit together for you.
