2018 Here We Come!

Starting the New Year off right by finally giving this spot a makeover. Love what’s coming. Trying to be dedicated more but if I’m not here I’ll be at my other blogs but I will do what I have to do to make sure that everyone will love the new spot. I will try to do some videos as well. I can’t wait to just be on this fantastic journey with everyone. If I pass or fail at least I tried you know. Trying is better than having nothing at all. You know how the saying goes, You’ll never know unless you try. 

I know many people are going to be doing their New Years Resolution but knowing damn well they are not going to stick to them. But hey who knows what I’m going to do for the next year. WAIT I have one that I’m going to actually keep. I’m NOT going to over work myself. There that’s one I think I can keep. Don’t over do it when it comes to work. I have to do more relaxing and more enjoying and living in the moment. Many times we tend to put everything in front of what’s important. So that’s my resolution and try not to laugh so loud because I know that’s an annoying habit I have to.

Thoughts

I know it’s so repetitive but I’m so excited for the holidays. But I want to also think about the people who have lost some family members or some that are just going through a lot. So let’s pray for everyone and make sure everybody is feeling loved. There are some who lost their homes or are going hungry make sure you donate make time for those in nursing homes hospitals do all you can to make sure nobody is alone during the Holidays.

Holiday Blues?

So Thanksgiving is over and I have to say, I enjoyed my day off and though I didn’t participate in Holiday shopping I really am just waiting for after Christmas so I can really clearly see what I want. I don’t like the forced Marketing that goes into Holiday shopping and being that I don’t have anyone I have to rush and get something I have to say I am in the safe zone. Right now I’m just concentrating on a career and making sure that I have everything together. I wanted to talk about something that’s barely touched. Not my vagina, I’m talking about work place drama. We all have dealt with it right? Well there is a way to get over it. There is always doing what I do which is keeping to myself when I notice someone is just pissed off to be pissed off. One thing about me, I’m very passionate in everything I do. I had a bad habit of letting people rob me of my joy. 

I know that sounds churchy and I’m not the church type at all. Here is what Iam. I am a freethinking person that loves to laugh and have fun and not at the expense of other’s pride you know? Anyway, as I said before I’m very passionate and one thing that really gets to me are those that are just negative. I can’t take a person that comes to work to complain that treat their job as just another paycheck. A person with no passion for what they do has to find another place of employment in my most honest opinion. Why so I say that? Simple because if you think about it why did you get the job in the first place? Most people would say they need the money. Okay, that may play a factor in it but if that’s the only reason then you shouldn’t go after it. You chose a profession because you love it. No days are going to be perfect but you want to do it and you love it. Something caught your eye during the job search. So you get yourself together for the interview. Once the interview is done you’ve landed the job. 

When you first get in you’re motivated excited and ready to take on the day but what kills me is that after a while you’re angry. You’re coming with the attitude that the job sucks. Some people say oh I just got this job to pay for my career. Okay so why screw it up? Like it or not, you’re the face of the company. Why make the company look bad because it’s not the top of your list? Would you like it if you make it at the dream career of your choice and you hire someone and they are at first into your brand then run it down to the ground? Think about it really clearly. 

Then there are people who are stuck there but I say make the best of it. Now if you can change pace. Don’t tolerate bullshit just to get a check. I can tell you right now I had a job where disrespect was on a daily and I am not that kind of person that take well to being disrespected. I mean there are some that want to be bosses but don’t know how. Steve Jobs said it best when he described these type of managers as bozos. Nobody should tolerate disrespect period.

Guess Who’s Back?

Yes, I’m fully restored after Hurricane Irma and I feel great, I have to say it was really frustrating because I couldn’t get to work and I must say I miss being able to get online and doing everything from the comfort of my laptop. I couldn’t believe everything that was going on and how I was losing my mind with the heat down here. Never appreciate what you have until it’s taken away. That I realized that the hard way. One good thing was once everything was back going I can get back to business. I am so excited to get back to work and get things on track. I just have to quit being scatter brained and get to final theme though here. I see almost everything is taken except for a hilarious theme I thought of but I have to get the time to get it together. Hope you guys know, since the disconnections I did though have time to get through some hurdles that I am so excited I can’t get it out until Saturday so just wait I got some cool and fun things coming.

The Chance Of A Lifetime

I always wanted to write out these crazy blogs from the mind of mad man. Really so I got this hysterical idea to do like so many different post that are so random and then I got to thinking, why not do about my favorite comic heros. That is beyond funny yet epic at the same time. I know you’re probably thinking go to bed you have too much time on your hands but I promise this is going to be epic. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to let you see what I have up my sleeves. I’ve been pretty down with all that’s going on with my tooth, I’m not going to front but I am going to make sure you guys that are going to read that it will be more and more interesting once I get started. I feel this may be it. I hope that people would seriously read and enjoy but hey it’s just a hope I’m going to take a chance with this.

Cheap Nerd Alert!

I really don’t get what it is with people taking out their frustrations on the wrong one but hey we all have bad days so I decided not to take it personal. It’s hard thought while you’re at work and people are just beyond frustrated and thinks it’s all your fault. No worries, I’m going to do what I can to help and keep it moving. I started experimenting some things with my own MacBook and though it is Vintage, maybe considered Obsolete, who knows how far I can go with this machine. I’m going to do the impossible and push this machine to limits until i can get an upgrade in the MacBook department. I know I’m not the only person working with the struggle Mac. Don’t give me that look!!! I know you’re judging but hey I’m a rare find, I’m a cheap nerd don’t make fun of me! 

I know you’re thinking a cheap nerd? Where the hell they do that at? Well, the way my pockets is set up damn it. Don’t judge me but hey I have to buckle down to get the great stuff agree? Okay, so don’t get angry with me but it’s the absolute truth I’m not some baller out there making millions, don’t mean a sister can dream right?

Finally Here

Many didn’t believe me when I said I was going to to launch my blog to make sure that it’s seen in a light that’s not malicious or out for blood. When I got introduced to my love of writing it was reading through Ebony/Jet magazine saying wow, people who look like and represented me and my culture. What black child didn’t come up being excited each month for the magazine to come in the mail? You’re filled with anticipation wondering who’s going to be on the cover? Is it going to be The Jacksons or Billy Dee? What hard hitting topics are they going to press? 

The highlight of my day after completing homework and chores was two things, watching television and then reading the magazines. Then I would always say to myself this is what black representation means. Not attacking each other and making up salacious rumors. Not trying to destroy the fiber of our very existence. For that I’m more than thankful for such a movement that began years ago. Somewhere we got lost along the way,but I plan to bring that back. The spreading of knowledge and the enjoyment of reading. I want to spread love to those bloggers and Youtubers that bring meaning to the web and not the negative crap we have to endure in the mainstream. Welcome to the journey that is nothing you could ever imagine.
