hi, i was just rereading The Winds Promise and i love Polaris's name so much. Aris is already a very cool name, and then the reveal that it is short for Polaris, my favorite star? and he's the promised star boy

i'm working on learning digital art, what i really figured out with this is how powerful being able to make a layer & draw below my current layer is

Trying to remember my thought process with this—I think you’re supposed to disagree with the final warning. The artist’s eye isn’t making you see illusions. The world really was crafted like a painting.

the more you draw, the more you see

the world in shade and color

contours trace the edges of

the roads you travel over

the practice turns your mind to place

a grid across your vision

and so your thinking comes to change

the world and its divisions

be careful then, and don’t be fooled

those shapes aren’t really there

the clouds are made of dew and dust
