This change for a Tumblr free of "adult content" is definitely a step in the wrong direction considering especially considering that the "free expression of art" that Tumblr is supposedly trying to provide will now exclude a large section of the artistic community that respects and finds beautiful the human body. Photography, painting, sculpting are all art forms in which nudity is not something to be frowned upon or found "inappropriate" but is actually rather respected and found beautiful by many whether it is of a woman or a man exposed in this light. I think it's a shame that Tumblr is taking a step away from freedom of expression toward censorship and content control rather than simply putting in the effort required to filter content that is explicit and remove content that is illegal.

There's a Fire
Spinning, turning, yearning.
I can't stay still,
And the world keeps on spinning.
Inside there's a wire,
Twisted up my heart,
Like a coil,
Toasting red hot,
Searing at my soul,
And digging in- the metal wire
Keeps on turning.
And I can't stay still no longer,
I need to be a little stronger.
Because this thing has set me on fire.
I'm just like y'all,
-
-
I want it all…
And now I'm aflame.
I just keep on yearning

My Favorite Park
More soul bare than the windowed empty-nester's home.
While metallic enigmas sit unattended and idle, leaving only the question of where might their rider be?
A mirror lake formed from a drainless concrete pit, filled with discarded dross, and forgone garments of the absent roving vagabonds.
Only empty things here and the distant memory of the souls that once touched this forgotten place.
- Erasmus Styles
