My Love Story With Zeltzin Alicia Vazquez
The year 2015 was a rough one for me. That's for sure. After being in a relationship with a toxic person for over a year and a half, I had little to no hope for love, relationships, or anything of that nature. A couple months after I broke free of said relationship I had posted a video on my Instagram of myself covering a song on my guitar. Shortly after, I received a comment on my video from a girl. Following that, she had messaged me privately and we began talking about common interests. She told me her name was Alicia. We continued conversing via text message on a friendly basis but after a couple weeks she ceased communication with me. I then messaged her on Facebook only to learn that I had been talking to someone who had been IMPERSONATING her the entire time. We had both found out that this person had "catfished" me. The real "Alicia" then told me that her actual name was Zeltzin and that her middle name was Alicia, hence the alias used by the "catfish." At this point Zeltzin and I continued to talk here and there as friends for a span of several months leading into the Spring of 2016. In May of 2016, Zeltzin had posted a video of herself skating alone and she seemed to be in a bad mood. I was free that night so I suggested that we both would meet up for the first time and skate. I learned that night that she had recently split up with her boyfriend. I did not want to speak about anything negative that night though so we just ended up skating around her neighborhood, enjoying the crisp spring air and each other's company. That night, I felt this warmth coming off of her. This sense of belonging, this sense of home. She sparked this feeling of love that I've never truly felt before. Her mannerisms, her laugh, her smile, her smell, her beliefs, her BEING. I loved everything about her. She felt right. We spent time with each other pretty often after that. At least a few times a week. After a month of us hanging out, going to shows together, and skating together we decided to do a photoshoot at a forest preserve I knew about near Chicago. She's a photographer; another aspect I loved about her. She's creative and extremely talented. Upon reaching the forest preserve it started to drizzle a little bit and storm clouds began to form over the lake we were walking along. We decided to take a break and sit on a bench on a boardwalk looking over the lake. The storm clouds approached quickly and the rain began to pour; the setting sun still poking through the dark, ominous rain clouds. We had this sense. This connection. As we stood in the warm, pouring rain she leaned along the railed planks on the boardwalk. I felt it in my heart. So I kissed her. I remember it vividly. Like something out of a movie. Her dark red lipstick smeared all over both of our faces. Such a genuine feeling of happiness overcame both of us. At this moment we knew that we were right for each other. A couple months after our first kiss we finally decided to make things official. On August 16th, 2016 I asked her to be mine. To be my love. My partner-in-crime. My rock. My best friend. Ever since the first day we met she's been there for me and I, her. She keeps me motivated. She pushes me to be the best person I can be. She is the light of my life. She is understanding. She is patient. She is loving. She is caring. She is smart. She is bright. She is TALENTED. SHE IS BEAUTIFUL. SHE IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. In November of 2016 we traveled to Austin, TX for a week and explored the city inside and out. Traveling is something that is so very important to both of us and it rejuvenates us. We loved Austin so much and we honestly just cannot wait to experience as much of the world as we can together.
