Success?
To many, success can be defined as growing up and having the career of their dreams, the house with the biggest T.V's or the cars with the fanciest leather seats, but to me, many of those material things come and go.
Success is measured by taking small baby steps and achieving what you thought was impossible, what everyone told you that you couldn't do and would never achieve. Success does not measure materialistic items or the amount of money a person has, but rather the personal achievements that a person overcomes which makes them feel better inside. The biggest success a person can have is fulfilling their biggest dreams imaginable. Whether it is to be the BEST stay-at-home mother you can be or the BEST CEO of a major company, success is different to each individual and is measured according to every person's standards.
Success? Love. Happiness. Friendship. Living your dreams. Doing the best you can. Proving the doubtful people wrong.

Thanksgiving 2011
Don't wait until someone's passing to let them know how much you love them. Let them know now that they are near and not 6 feet under.
Well, first of all, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!! :)
I cannot believe it has been a year since last Thanksgiving when we had this gigantic and magnificent feast! The time has come to create it again.
This year I am in charge of cooking up the turkey for my family and also making cheesecake. My sister is in charge of making the mashed potatoes, the flan, etc. My family is in charge of something different lol
As my turkey is cooking now I wanted to stop by and post something up because I really feel the need to. I am very thankful every day when I wake up and give thanks to God for a new day and for everything he gives me every day, but this day overall is the day I am most grateful for everything that God has given me through the years.
I am thankful for a great family that loves and cares so much for me. My mother who has been there every step of the way. My father who I love dearly because he supports me, no matter what and even when I don't do things right, he always lets me know that at the end of the day we are a family and we will always stick up for each other. My sisters who always seem to understand me and love me for who I am. My brother who is younger than I am and even though he is a bit rebellious, he seems to be learning from life and from all the blessings that we receive every day.
I am thankful for a wonderful partner who I have decided to settle down with and start writing my love story. I have only been with him for 5 months, but I am very amazed with how different people can be and how nice it is that some amazing guys are still out in this world. He is the best thing that has happened to me in a while and I cherish and love him every day that God grants me of life. He is my love, my best friend, my soulmate, my world. :3
Please love your family and let them know how much you love them every day. Let them know how important they are in your lives and how badly it would suck without them. Please be safe and enjoy your holidays! :)

LOVE :)
Love can be defined as many wonderful things in the world. Love is blind and has no boundaries.
To many people, the word love means different aspects. There is the love for a mother, a father, a sibbling, and even for friends. This type of love is unconditional and even when mad at each other, you know you simply can't go a day without them, no matter what. This type of love has been alive since we were babies and we were first carried by our mother and has grown with us ever since.
But what about the other "love"...the love we always seem t say we have towards a special person in our lives. Our partners, our soulmates, our best friends with whom we share everything and whom we live our lives next to. What about that love?
For many years now, I have been searching for that special someone. The special person who will always be there for you. That person who knows you very well and would do anything for you. For years, I have rushed my life into finding it, but little did I know that what I was searching for was nowhere to be found.
The idea od that special someone is often mistaken and taken for granted. We often seek to find a person who is PERFECT. Someone who has the looks of a Vogue magazine model. Who takes you out to dinner. Who buys you roses. Who gives you everything you need, and then some. When you search for this, theonly thing you're looking or is something that is quite unreachable and can never be defined. Perfection.
When I found the man that I am with now, I never expect it to be this big of a deal. Like stated before, I was searching for something that was truly nowhere to be found and when I found this man, it was a slap in the face that I was soon to discover. He is very far in the perception of perfect from other peoples' point of view, but he is perfect to me. He is the sweetest man I know and I would never trade him.
You see, when I found him, I wasn't looking. I think that's what brought our worlds together. The fact that love comes when you least expect it and at the momment when your life really needs a reaity check.
He does not take me out to eat every day. He does not buy me flowers every day. He doesn't even look like a model from Vogue, but to me, that is not important in any way. Staying in at home and enjoying the time with him is fr more important than going out to clubs or patying all night. Eating in is far more romantic to cook than ging out and having the fanciest entree on the menu. To me, the simplicity of our replationship is the flame that keeps the fire in our hearts burning.
Love your partners for who they are. Accept them for what they're worth, and be loyal. Be faithful, be true.
This type of love is only found when you accept youself for who you are and for what you are worth. You are beautiful, inside and out. Don't ever let anyone else tell you otherwise. Believe in yourself and the world will follow after. Follow your dreams and live your life accordingly. Most importantly: LOVE. Love your friends, love your family, love your partner. But most importantly, love yourself.
