‘Under My Feet’ is out!!! It took some guerrilla filmmaking to make this video clip happen. My brother Joelik and Jasmine spent most of the day holding table lamps in Lenny's basement for good lighting. But it’s here now and I’m super grateful for everyone involved! Karlien for coming up with the choreography and executing it, Lenny for directing, the montage, and making an idea into something tangible, and Jasmine and my brother for helping out during the shoot 😊 Loads of love, now go check out the end result! ‘Dust’ is out now and available literally everywhere!! You’ll find a link in bio ❤️ ⠀⠀ This EP has been hard work and not just for me. My dad spent literally half a year watching Youtube tutorials on how to record and produce my music, so that our kitchen setup would sound better than last year. Without him, this EP would never have made it past the voice memo stage. ⠀⠀ @phoebe__violet wrote ‘Dust’ with me and played the piano (and will also be playing with me tonight!). The single ‘Dust’ is officially out now! It was co-written with @phoebe__violet (and she also did the piano part) ❤️ It’s a song about my brother and our move from Russia to Belgium. When we first arrived, neither of us spoke a lick of Dutch, so we basically only had each other. I didn’t mind, I thought it was pretty cool to have an older brother who was also my best friend. Meet the other acts!! SWIPE —> ⠀⠀ @hels.grace is a Midlands born singer-songwriter with a deep love for country & folk music, who pairs slide guitar with catchy pop melodies. Her voice is amaaazing ⠀⠀ @sblackettrock will be doing spoken word. For her, it is a way to be completely transparent in a world where we try to be opaque. She has Asperger's, and has never been the best with words and for many years, was mute to how she felt about things. Poetry allows her to align what she wants to say, in a way that expresses her reality with greater clarity and communicates her soul. I heard her poetry at Pen Ting and it broke my heart. ⠀⠀ @kantisunflower is a singer-songwriter from Nepal, who writes dreamy, acoustic love songs. She also recorded her debut album on her iPhone and that’s just badass and inspirational af. ⠀⠀ It’s the first event I’ve taken upon myself to organise and I want it to be a celebration for the people that like my music and the ones who were involved in the process of making it.
