Clextober 2022! Please Read!

Hey Everyone, October is near and that means its Clextober time! I had an idea to keep Clextober going for everyone who enjoys it. Would you all be interested in a more relaxed event? Rather than having a specific day for each prompt I can post a master list of 31 prompts/ideas and everyone can choose which ones they like and share their content with that tag at any point during the month of October? Think of it similar to the 31 nights of Halloween on ABC Family/Freeform but for Clextober.   You can pick 1 or as many as you would like. If any one wants to submit prompt ideas to be added to the list you can, just have them all submitted by Saturday the 10th. And I will then try to post the master list for the 31 nights of Clextober 🎃

The Heda Hike

So some of y’all may be familiar with the Walk to Mordor challenge: using milestones along the way, walk/bike/run/etc. the same distance the Hobbits took to go to Mordor.

Well, to be honest, I’m not an enormous LOTR fan. But I DO want to pay tribute to my Heda, who wants me to be as fit a soldier as possible. So, introducing:

The Heda Hike!

For this challenge, we start at the Dropship. From there, we march 5 miles (8km) to Mount Weather. After we take down the Mountain, we Wanheda Home to Arkadia, a distance of 25 miles (40km). Once we’ve made our peace there, we make our final Tribute in Polis: 50 miles (80km). This makes a total of 80 miles (128km) we’ll all be walking/biking/swimming/running/etc.

Rules for this challenge:

1. As long as the movement includes distance of some form, it counts! Treadmills and ellipticals count too. Just get your body moving!

2. You don’t have to do each leg in one go. If you’re only doing half a mile a day, that just means it takes 10 days to get to Mount Weather, for example. Miles moved are cumulative. Go at your own pace!

3. Reward yourself! To start you off, the lovely Nachos (@femininenachos) made some awesome milestone badges you can display, included below. Display them: by completing each milestone, you’ve made your Heda proud!

Hello Kru!

I’m here to share an idea that’s been on my mind for awhile now. Thanks to the happiness that Clextober and Clexmas brought me last year, and Clexaweek last month, I’ve decided to fully formulate the draft of an idea I had for September 30th, and share it with this amazing fandom of ours.

As we all know, Clexaweek was created from the sorrow of losing Lexa on March 3rd, 2016. I would like to think I’m not the only one who thought it would be awesome to have a week like that, but instead celebrating the happiness that Lexa’s return brought us on September 30th, 2020

I’ve been struggling to find out how to do this, but I finally came with a solid list of how I would like it to be. From the beginning I knew I wanted it to be something Canon/fix-it related, so here’s how I put the themes

Day 1: Set on Season 1-2

Day 2: Set on Season 3

Day 3: Set on Season 4-5

Day 4: Set on Season 6

Day 5: Set on Season 7

Day 6: Future from any Season

Day 7: Free day on Canon Divergence

So “Set on…” means any situation you want to create as long as it is part of the chosen season/s’ timeline, you can make any change you want from the past, but the fic must start on your chosen season’s time. For example, Day 3: Set on Season 4-5, you can change anything you want from previous seasons -Role Reversal/Origins, eliminate or add secondary characters, fix a previous season, etc- and set your story on seasons 4-5 timeline -Becca’s island, praimfaya, bunker, Ring, Shallow Valley with Madi, fighting Eligius, etc.

“Future from Any Season” means “X Years/Months after Season X Fix-it” For example, “3 Years after Season 2 Fix-it” Not necessary to fully explain -write said part- how such season was fixed, just some always needed Clexa fluff on your own version of Canon divergence, on any future time.

And then of course free day, do whatever you want on the 100 world.

If she happens to take a break and stare at the WAC officer with long legs and a mug to die for, well, who can blame her? She’s an exemplary employee with zero marks in the naughty column; she could let her mind wander every now and then. 

Except for that one time Clarke stuck her nose where it didn’t belong.

But it’s not like history would repeat itself, and her officer would pull Clarke into a whirlwind adventure halfway around the world where things she’d never even considered existed and lust could turn into love, right?

Behold, the Archive of Our Own!

After moving our little collection of servers to their own rack close to six years ago, and then expanding to a second rack in August 2018, your donations have now paid for three racks total! (The pictures were taken in December, while work on the third rack was happening, which explains the extra cables and things.) We now maintain over 30 servers just to power the Archive, and we’re sure we’ll be adding more soon. 🥳

Clexaweek2021

Wow. This marks five years, half a decade of Clexaweek! Thank you all so much for making this fandom what it is. Clexa has helped shape me as a person. I’ve made so many friends through it. It’s changed my life. And I’m so grateful for all of you. 

And now, without further ado:

Clexaweek2021 will take place from Monday, March 1st to Sunday, March 7th. Here are the themes for the week:

Day 1- Monday, March 1st: Accidental Love Confession

Day 2- Tuesday, March 2nd: Wanna Bet?

Day 3- Wednesday, March 3rd: Reunited

Day 4- Thursday, March 4th: At Work

Day 5- Friday, March 5th: Out of Bounds

Day 6- Saturday, March 6th: Magic

Day 7- Sunday, March 7th: Free Day

Please keep in mind the themes are more of guidelines than actual rules. For example, if you reeeeally hoped that rivals would win, and it didn’t? Well, you can technically make any of the days a rivals au. Your day 4 could include rivals-since-childhood Clexa being forced to be coworkers during a merger at work. If you hoped that Arranged Marriage would win? Your day 2 could include Clexa forced into a marriage after losing a bet. If you really wanted a domestic au? Your day 6 magic au could involve witch Clarke and queen of the dragons Lexa, married and tending to the babies at home. You can make anything whatever you want, so be creative and have fun! 

Rules for tagging: makes sure to tag #Clexaweek21 and the day and prompt first before any other tags to make it easier for me to compile the master list.

So for example the first day, your tags should be #Clexaweek21  #Clexaweek21 Day 3 #Day 3 reunited #reunited (and then the others for the other days, ofc)

If you post your fic on ao3, you should also add it to the collection Clexaweek2021.

Submit a link to your post or directly to your work, whatever you would prefer, so that I can share/reblog it. Here is the link for that. Here are the guidelines for posting. Send me an ask if you have any questions. (Yes you are welcome to post your work early if circumstances prevent you from doing so day of, just be aware I will not share it until the day of (I’ll try to schedule it then, too). If you are late that’s okay too- I’ll share it when you have it, though try to do it on time that way you get more exposure since people will be looking for it!
